Several anonymous cardinals and curial officials told the Substack.com account The Pillar on April 17 that they do not expect any resolution to the question of the Mass in the Roman rite in the near future. Some Catholics had hoped the next extraordinary consistory of cardinals on June 26–27 would address the liturgical issue. Instead, Leo XIV chose to focus on Francis' document Evangelii Gaudium. One Vatican official said that Leo XIV was not very familiar with traditional communities or even the traditional liturgy, and that his primary concern was not liturgy but whether members of those communities accept the Second Vatican Council. As early as June 2025, the best friend of Leo XIV, Alejandro Moral, Prior General of the Augustinians, had already ruled out any return of the older form of the Mass under his pontificate. #newsVdgrmnvwkv
Paul VI killed the Old Mass; JP II gave it a tiny life; Benedict opened it up greatly, saying it had never really been officially done away with; Francis tried to kill it; Leo seems happy with Francis's decision. Zigzag, zigzag, what is the layman to think? "Officer, the light was green when I went through it." "Well, it's red now and you are in trouble." Why should the laity respect the governance of the Church?
Leo XIV Joined a Communist March Against Ronald … Hiraeth In Exile: One of the more revealing items from this week was the comment from Austrian Jesuit Andreas Batlogg, a biographer and admirer of Francis. His assessment cut through months of conservative wishful thinking with almost surgical coldness. Leo, he said, represents more a shift in tone than a break in substance. Synodality remains. The social agenda remains. The globalist perspective remains. Francis opened the doors. Leo is organizing the rooms behind them. That is one of those lines that should be framed and hung on the wall. Francis was coarse, impulsive, and often seemed to enjoy humiliating Catholics who still believed the Church had a duty to speak clearly. His reign felt like a never-ending act of vandalism. Leo appears more restrained. He is less theatrical. He does not fling the furniture through the window with quite the same gusto. This has been enough to mesmerize parts of the traditional and conservative world …More
On today's first anniversary of Francis's death, the homosexual activist James Martin SJ shared a memory from 2024. At the time, Francis had made some negative remarks about homosexual priests using the Italian slur "frociaggine" (faggotry) in a meeting with Italian bishops. A few weeks later, Francis received Fr Martin and discussed the expression. Francis said then that he knew "many holy, faithful, celibate gay priests and seminarians". When Fr Martin suggested proclaiming this publicly, Francis replied, "Oh, but I think I have. And in any event, you can say that!" According to Fr Martin, Francis asked back: "So you're saying that I can say you know many holy, faithful, celibate gay priests and seminarians?" Francis shrugged and said, "Of course. Because I do!" [In reality, the Church has suffered from many unholy, unfaithful, sexually active gay priests.] A few days later, during an audience with comedians, Fr Martin greeted Francis again. The Pope said, "Thank you for our meeting …More
Gay is an adjective that applies to someone tempted to homosexual sin and is proud of the temptation and acting on the temptation. He or she also encourages others to be proud of their temptations and sins. The specific difference is pride. One who is tempted or sins in a homosexual manner and experiences compunction and repugnance is not gay. Given that definition one cannot be a good gay catholic or a good gay priest. Pride is a vice. It changes a tempted person or sinner who should be ashamed into a vicious monster. Bergoglio's and Martin's ambiguity serves as a smoke screen for contradicting divine revelation and traditional moral doctrine.
Prevost Has Declared War on Christianity Something extraordinary has happened, and most Christians missed it because it was wrapped in the language of love. Over the span of eleven days, from Easter Sunday through an eleven-day tour of Africa, Pope Leo XIV issued a series of public statements that, taken together, constitute the most comprehensive assault on Biblical Christianity ever launched from inside the institutional church. He did not do it with a sword. He did it with a smile, a diplomatic handshake, and language so carefully crafted that millions of Catholics watched it happen and applauded. This is a documentation of that assault. Every claim is sourced from the Pope’s own words, published on the Vatican’s own website, and measured against the Bible the Vatican claims to uphold. The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) states that it works to help "people better remember, understand, and learn about the Holocaust and genocide of the Roma so that we can build a world without genocide." They also want to prevent antisemitism. The Alliance claims this needed to help fight the evils of antisemitism and Holocaust denial. This is their definition of antisemitism: Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities. The IHRA also posts "examples of antisemitism in public life, the media, schools, the workplace, and in the religious sphere..." Here they are: Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of a radical ideology or an extremist view of religion. Making mendacious, dehumanizing, …
Cardinal Reinhard Marx of Munich, Germany, has instructed priests and pastoral staff to perform "blessings" for homosexual couples and adulterers. A spokesperson confirmed to Die-Tagespost.de on 21 April that all pastoral practice should adhere to the German bishops' guideline, Segen gibt der Liebe Kraft ('Blessing Gives Love Strength'). This guideline is set to become a fundamental element of pastoral work across the Archdiocese of Munich. Training sessions for pastoral staff on how to conduct these "blessing ceremonies" are scheduled to begin in June. No couple seeking a blessing should be turned away. Priests who reject such "blessings" are expected to refer couples to either their dean or other pastoral workers willing to perform them. Furthermore, Cardinal Marx has urged that the "theological meaning" of the guideline be explained, particularly to those who may "still" struggle with the concept of such "blessings". Blessings for same-sex couples are already common practice in …More
"Nowadays, preachers and congregations are so shallow that if a sermon is not full of polished and studied phrases, and a dash of novelty, they are too critical to take any notice of it. So in order that the word of the Lord should come to them in a way they will not disdain or scorn, to the peril of their souls, I have prefaced each gospel with a suitable prologue, and included in the work itself illustrations drawn from physics and natural history, and explanations of the meanings of words, expounded from the standpoint of morality."

ANTONY'S GENERAL PROLOGUE 1. According to the First Book of Chronicles, David gave the purest gold: to make the likeness of the chariot of the cherubims, spreading their wings and veiling the ark of the covenant of the Lord. [1 Chron 28.18] 2. Genesis speaks of The land of Hevilath, where gold groweth, and the gold of that land is very good. [Gen 2.11-12] The name Hevilath is supposed to mean ‘bringing forth’. It stands for Holy Scripture, which is The earth [which] of itself bringeth forth fruit, first the blade, then the ear, afterwards the full corn in the ear.[Mk 4.28] By the blade we understand the allegorical sense of Scripture, which builds up faith in accordance with the words: Let the earth bring …More
The Italian Communist Party (notoriously a cell of the USSR, directly financed with Kremlin funds). «For millions of Italians, from the end of the Second World War through the 1980s, personal identity was rooted in the Communist Party and its symbolism: “Sono comunista” (I am a Communist) was a statement not only of people’s political allegiance but of their core identity. For many, being identified as Communist was more salient and more satisfying than being identified as Italian.»
Far-left activist Luca Casarini states on his Facebook account that Prevost has not changed direction. "You have come a long way, Brother Robert. But you have not changed direction," Casarini commented in his post.
In June, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X will announce the names of the future bishops to be consecrated on 1 July in Ecône, Switzerland. Father Kevin M. Cusick published this rumour on the Rorate-Caeli blog, referring to an anonymous 'reliable source' who claimed that both Don Davide Pagliarani, the Fraternity's Superior General, and Father John Fullerton, the Fraternity's Superior for the US, had confirmed the information. Entire Lithuania checks this newsfeed every morning and approves greatly these sights of burning Russia infractructure. Not because we glee over the suffering of Russians as the nation, but because it's the only way to stop these killers. They have been atheistic and country for more than 100 years - and imperialistic even more, and they are the mortal enemy of every country around it. It would be best for it to fall apart - this „prison of nations". Then - let's hope so, Russia will convert to catholicism.
"A virtuous life is to the soul what food is to the body. For as our body cannot live without food, so Faith cannot subsist without good works. -----St. Chrysostom."
“FAITH: We should submit ourselves to the Church so completely, that if we clearly perceived a thing to be white and she were to declare it to be black, we should, with her, declare it black. -----St. Ignatius. Thou shewest us the way to Heaven, and the way alone taught by thee is the true way. He who follows it cannot go astray nor stumble against a stone. He, on the contrary, who seeks another way, shall only find eternal perdition. -----B. Giles of Assisi. Faith is a great virtue; but without charity it can be of no use to us. Keep and preserve, with the utmost care, the precious gift of true faith, pure faith, faith without reproach. Amid growing controversy over the future of the Valley of the Fallen, Spain’s Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, has defended Cardinal José Cobo of Madrid. Bolaños told LaSexta.com that the plan to secularise the religious site was not the cardinal's initiative, but the result of an agreement reached directly with the Vatican. He emphasised that no personal deal had been made with Cobo, who has faced significant pressure from Catholics over the issue. The minister also said that the Vatican is fully committed to transforming the Valley from a monastery into a site of "democratic memory". Addressing divisions within the Catholic Church, Bolaños described it as a 'plural organisation', while criticising more traditional sectors that oppose the transformation and suggesting that they are out of step with 'contemporary society'. He also placed the “re-signification” of the Valley within a broader set of negotiations between the Spanish government and the Church, covering issues …More
The Valley of the Fallen is the equivalent of Arlington National Cemetery in Virgina. The main difference is that priests live in the monastery that is there and the edifice is large and quite awesome to behold.
