L’évêque d’Almeria en Espagne refuse de réembaucher une enseignante d’instruction religieuse divorcée et remariée, malgré une injonction judiciaire.
Mgr Gonzalez Montes, évêque d’Almeria en Andalousie a fait savoir lundi qu’il refusera d’approuver la réembauche d’une enseignante d’instruction religieuse divorcée et remariée, Resurrección Galera, qui a obtenu la reconnaissance de l’illégalité de son licenciement pour ce motif devant les tribunaux. « Il y a des sentences qu’il est impossible de respecter », a expliqué le prélat lundi, invoquant la liberté religieuse garantie par la constitution de l’Espagne en tant que droit fondamental. « Personne ne peut m’obliger à accorder une permission religieuse d’enseigner la religion », a-t-il déclaré à propos de cette femme « remercier » en l’année scolaire 2001-2002 alors qu’elle venait d’épouser civilement un homme divorcé. La marche annuelle des mouvements féministes est à chaque fois synonyme de violences antichrétiennes.
En soirée, la cathédrale a été à nouveau assiégée par des hordes de furies haineuses. Au-delà des graffitis et des saccages antichrétiens constatés à différents endroits de la ville, c’est la cathédrale qui polarise chaque année les groupes féministes liés à l’extrême gauche et aux lobbies LGBT. Cette année encore, ces furies ont lancé des cocktails molotov contre la cathédrale. Ces viragos féministes, souvent à moitié dénudées, ont pu agir durant des heures en toute impunité, avant d’être écartées par les forces de police. François a rappelé que le Concile Vatican II a rendu possible ce chemin, en appelant à un dialogue entre les confessions chrétiennes, qui puisse se développer «avec amour de la vérité, avec charité et avec humilité».

As chance would have it, this last Sunday (OF: 28th Sunday per annum, Year A; EF: 19th Sunday post Pentecosten) the Gospel reading was the same in both forms of the Roman Rite: the Parable of the Marriage Feast from Matthew 22:1-14.
Or, in some places at least, it was nearly the same. For this particular Sunday is one of the over 40 occasions in the three-year Sunday cycle of the reformed lectionary where there is the option of reading a shorter form of one of the lessons. Suffice to say, there are no conditions laid out by the reformed books for when it may or may not be suitable to use any given short form aside from “pastoral reasons”, and the (somewhat deceptive) observation that “In the case of certain rather long texts, longer and shorter versions are provided to suit different situations. The editing of the shorter version has been carried out with great caution.” (General Introduction to the Lectionary, 75; cf. GIRM 360)

1967: Reaching the Bottom of the Slippery Slope
Gregory DiPippo Here is an interesting bit of history from the post-Conciliar period, a new set of variations to the order of Mass issued in May of 1967, following those implemented in March of 1965. The imprudence of Sacrosanctum Concilium calling for “noble simplicity” and for the rites to be “simplified”, without specifying what exactly that should entail, has by this point become impossible to deny. Less than three and a half years have passed since its promulgation, (the Council itself has been over for less than a year and a half), and the Roman Ordo Missae has already undergone more changes in that period than it had since before Trent. Altars are being turned around throughout the world, so that the faithful can see what the priest is doing at Mass; the time has now come for there to be much less for them to see.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem has reiterated Damascus' calls to "dissolve" the international coalition led by Washington in Syria, accusing the alliance of not fighting terrorists, but rather destroying the country and its people.
"This coalition was created to annihilate ISIS [Islamic State/IS], but it annihilates the Syrian people and not ISIS," Muallem told RT in Sochi, where the minister held talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.
The Syrian diplomat said that, contrary to its stated mission, the US-led alliance "protects ISIS," and that he saw no sense in so many countries being members of the coalition. Muallem also branded the 62-state alliance "froth," insisting that "it should cease to exist."
"This international coalition has been committing crimes against the Syrian people. In the last two months, thousands of Syrian civilians, women and children mainly, have become the victims of these crimes," he said.

Sweden, September-23-2017
Protestants celebrate a gay marriage in the Vadstena Abbey Church in which the relics of Saint Bridget of Sweden are kept for 700 years.
Catholic pilgrims were surprised to witness a gay pseudo-marriage in a former catholic church, confiscated by the protestant revolution, that is still shared with Catholics for Holy Mass, including the traditional Roman rite, and veneration of the relics of Saint Bridget.
The Vadstena Abbey Church belongs to the Lutheran Church.
