This is a great reflection to begin this Sunday the 2025 season of Advent. It's titled, "Waiting for Christ" and comes from daily liturgical guide the Magnificat. It was written by St. John Henry Newman. He was born in 1801 and died in 1890. He converted to Catholicism. He was made a cardinal by Pope Leo XIII in 1879. Newman was a great preacher and writer. And he is a saint. Here's his Advent reflection, "Waiting for Christ."
