Wed Dec 10, 2025 - 10:02 am EST (LifeSiteNews) — Do you enjoy dropping fun facts into conversations? Some people might be intrigued to hear that the average ocean depth is roughly equivalent to stacking eight Empire State Buildings on top of one another. Others may be amused to learn that the human brain generates about 12 to 25 watts of electricity at any given moment – just enough to power a small light bulb. But many would raise an eyebrow if you claimed that Brazil was once the actual seat of a European monarchy and that Rio de Janeiro served as the capital of the realm. Even more striking is the fact that the Brazilian royal family still exists (more precisely, imperial family), even though with no public duties or roles, and that the current head of the Imperial House of Brazil, Dom Bertrand de Orléans e Bragança, is a devout Catholic who receives Communion daily. “I have received Holy Communion every day of my life since I was 17 (he is 84 now). I remember missing Communion only …

The Polish Bishops’ Conference has invited Pope Leo XIV to visit Poland. Archbishop Tadeusz Wojda of Gdańsk delivered the invitation during a private audience, noting that 2027 would be a fitting occasion as the Church marks the 150th anniversary of the Marian apparitions in Gietrzwałd. The Pope said his schedule for 2026–27 is already full but that he would consider the visit. According to Monsignor Wojda, Leo XIV expressed his affection for Poland and recalled visiting the country many times before.

Archbishop Wojda emphasised that he told the Pope that 2027 marks the 150th anniversary of the apparitions in Gietrzwałd, so ‘it is a good opportunity …
I wonder what his parents think about their son fighting on the side of Russia while they are fighting on the side of Ukraine. Not good I am sure. Here is another post with Poland losing their mind again. Russia condemns Polish detention of Hermitage … There are many Polish soldiers and mercenaries fighting in Ukraine. Jim Ferguson - WHEN THE TRUTH IS TOO DANGEROUS FOR THE POWERFUL—THIS IS WHAT HAPPE... WHEN THE TRUTH IS TOO DANGEROUS FOR THE POWERFUL—THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS Ex-CIA contractor Patrick Byrne has just made extraordinary allegations—claims so explosive that most media outlets will never touch them. In a discussion with Alex Jones, Byrne stated that senior intelligence channels are warning that Candace Owens is being targeted for retaliation after exposing powerful networks operating behind the political façade of Europe. Byrne insists that there is more beneath the surface—global agendas, elite protection systems, and institutional panic when scrutiny comes too close. Whether every detail proves true or not, one point from Byrne stands unchallenged: When someone questions narratives that protect power structures, they are instantly attacked—not on facts, but with intimidation, legal warfare, and coordinated smear campaigns. And why is this happening now? Because Owens openly challenged …More
Bishop Erik Varden of Trondheim told AcePrensa.com on December 9 that we are already living in a post-secular age, something especially evident in northern Europe. He said that people are turning to Catholicism "because it is true", as many grow disillusioned with other options. "With so much collapse — of old certainties and institutions — and the fragility of our political, cultural, ecological and financial lives, people are looking for parameters that promise to withstand the flood." Regarding the increase in attendance at Mass in the Roman rite, Bishop Varden noted that this is happening "in some places, not everywhere". It is linked to a search for beauty, which the Church can offer. He urged simply celebrating the liturgy well and follow the rubrics: "Do the red and say the black." Referring to the Chartres pilgrimage over Pentecost, he observed that the young participants were impossible to categorise, ranging from people who attend charismatic services to those who attend the …More
Not a priest whose view I particularly trust, as being perceived by me as being part of the perceived problem; however, is active on the blogosphere a long time, and I present his views here as an alternative take or critique regarding the supposed election of a new supposed pope..
There are so many insane, irrational, invalid and illegal happenings that have occurred in the last 100 years that only God knows what is really going on in the Catholic Church.
The museum Künstlerhaus in Vienna, Austria, is presenting an exhibition titled “You Shall Make Yourself an Image.” It opened in late October 2025 and runs through 8 February 2026. The exhibition features about 40 provocateurs (“artists”) mocking Christian imagery. Catholic organizations and online petitions describe the exhibit as “blasphemous,” “insulting,” and as mocking key Christian symbols such as the crucifixion and imagery of the Virgin Mary. Works criticized include: - A wolf dressed in liturgical garments - A crucified frog - Portrayals of Mary as a trans woman or other provocative reinterpretations The Austrian right-wing party FPÖ (Austrian Freedom Party) condemned the exhibition as “a scandalous mockery of Christianity” and demanded that it be shut down, especially since it runs during Advent and Christmas and receives public funding. On Monday, a group of Catholics gathered outside the museum to protest the exhibition, including an act of penance prayer. However, …More
December 13 Saint Lucy of Syracuse. orlandileonordove49 St. Lucy Virgin and Martyr († 303) Saint Lucy was a young Christian maiden of Syracuse in Sicily. She had already offered her virginity to God and refused to marry, when her mother pressed her to accept the offer of a young pagan. The mother was afflicted afterwards for several years by an issue of blood, and all human remedies were ineffectual. Lucy reminded her mother that a woman in the Gospel, suffering from the same disorder, had been healed by the divine power. They determined to make a journey to Catania, a port of Sicily, where the tomb of Saint Agatha, martyred in 251, was already a site of pilgrimage. Saint Agatha, Lucy said, stands ever in the sight of Him for whom she died. Only touch her sepulchre with faith, and you will be healed. The Saint of Catania had already saved that city, when Mount Etna had erupted the year after her martyrdom: some frightened pagans, seeing a course of lava descending directly toward the …More
The first premise is to believe in God. Later on that belief can grow because of grace into accepting the Triune God, and then finally into the Roman Catholic Church.

The video of Putin maybe a few years ago. Not sure exactly when. Maybe in his late 60's early 70's. Don't know how old the video of Stammer is either. But I don't think it matters. Just for laughs. I have several of Putin and Trump when Trump kept trying to pull the old power grip. Mind you Putin is 5:8. Some say 5"7. Some are so ridiculous they say he is only 5"2. That only makes Putin look more powerful. People can be so hateful. Putin vs Starmer: pick your winner. #putin #russia #starmer #uk #boxing

There was an embargo, and it was ignored. Trump walks and not just talks. Naturally those with TDS will say all sorts of evil things about Trump. But what would the USA be like if Kamala were president. It would be a DISASTER.
