In his Christmas address to the Roman Curia, Francis mentioned the controversial Olinda and Recife Archbishop Hélder Câmara (+1999).
He called Câmara “this holy Bishop from Brazil” quoting his saying: “When you work with the poor, they call you a saint, when you resolve poverty, they call you a Communist.”
In 2015, a "beatification process" was started for Câmara. A political opportunist, Câmara started off in the fascist movement and then became a Marxist and was called “Fidel Castro in cassock”. He supported female ordination, divorce, polygamy and contraception.

I find it amusing that there appears to be a growing number of postings on GTV with 'comments' blocked. As to why? Your guess is as good as mine. To be sure, reasons are as varied as the people who choose to block comments but for those who don't struggle with English, what are you 'scared' off?

To be sure, reasons are as varied as the people who choose to block comments but for those who don't struggle with English, what are you 'scared' off? Yes, @la verdad prevalence because of your longevity of 'blocking' and given your postings do not illustrate you have difficulty with expressing yourself in English, I'm puzzled as to why it is personal towards my good self. Apart from anything else, I am unable to impart the 'blessings' of the Yule-tide season to you let alone giving you a 'thumbs up' for your comments/postings that resonate with me. Thay being said, "Peace to all men of good-will."

My posts and my comments are open to all and I have never blocked anyone on GTV for any reason. Not for anything they've said to me (which has been very bad) or about me (which is often worse). I never have, I never will, because I don't need to.
I have a more direct reaction. I prove those users factually wrong in the most withering and humiliating way possible. I can choke down whatever is served but I will make the chef eat his meal with a double-helping.
Alex, if you're expecting Catholic fellowship between users on GTV, oh man.... you came to the wrong site. God only knows what gibberish Rafal is trying to say. His prepositions are more tangled than his shoe-laces. :D

@Rafal Ovile. I don't! To quote me, "I find it amusing......" What "enemies" would they be? Enemies on GTV? God forbid! People, who disagree with my perspective, surely not an enemy? Most certainly, I don't perceive a difference of an opinion equates with coming from 'my enemy'. Anti- Catholic comments, well, there from the ill-informed. "Taking it personally"? Nope! Just puzzled.

"When you resolve poverty, they call you a Communist.” When you "resolve poverty" using Marxism, the term Communist applies.
