@Liam Ronan -Thank you for the Chaucer quoye. Ihad a feeling I got it wrong . I don't know why I'm alittle more optomistic than you about worse than Bergoglio around the corner. I just think someone more like Benedict XVI, or maybe even more traditional-leaning than him is next. I used to feel sorry for Bergoglio, knowing how much he is despised. But I changed my mind....he's done it deliberatly to himself and to the Church, so if he's forced to resign because of rising tide against him and his agenda (which is possible), I feel no sympathy for him at all.

@Clement Jaeho Chung -Thank you Clement. I always learn from your posts too. I've never been to Korea, but have been to Japan many times visiting relatives. The last time was 2018, and then not for 4 years because of COVID-19. Japan had COVID too, but not as bad as here in the USA, where it was the worse in the world by totals of people infected. Everyone was told to get the VAX, but people are still getting sick even after the shots. We hope to visit Japan this Summer 2023 (Tokyo, Kyoto, Sapporo) where relatives are.
I think Bergoglio named this old man as Archbishop because he is running out of people who support him. I read that more and more bishops and cardinals are against him. Hopefully this is true when it comes time to elect a replacement. I wish Bergoglio would either pass away peacefully and unexpectedly, or resign.

@Clement Jaeho Chung - I'm glad you like Japan! Yes, I've been or Osaka and Nara. Even though we are all Catholic, we visit a lot of Buddhist and Shinto temples too when we are there, not to pray (of course), but to visit and appreciate our culture. Believe it or not, there is some Japanese food I don't like. Personally, I don't like sashimi, but I can tolerate sushi because it's usually rolled up with rice and vegetables/seasoning so its more than just raw fish.
I'm a history teacher (I have my M.A. in History, and I know all about the sad period of Japanese history when fanatic militarists took over the country and annexed Korea in 1910 until 1945. I know they treated the Korean people very badly, and did the same in China hen they invaded Manchuria in the early 1930's. People like General Hideki Tojo were almost as bad as Hitler, because they had no regard for human life. Even though I am Japanese (but an American first), I hate what Japan did to Korea, China, and the USA (at Pearl Harbor), and believe that Japan deserved to lose badly. It is tragic that it took an atom bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to make Japan surrender.
We get a Korean TV channel on our cable system here in the USA, and I watched a very long drama series about Taejo Wang Geon. Very interesting. The costumes people wore at that time in Korea were very similar to those worn in China at the same time period, but not the same as Japan.
I agree with you about Bergoglio. He doesn't seem like he wants to quit, but I hope soon he is forced to. That would be great. He is the worst Pope in 500+ years.
