Gerontocracy: Francis Promotes Over-Aged Cardinal
Francis appointed Pachamama-Cardinal Baltazar Porras, 78, as Caracas Archbishop, Venezuela on January 17.
Porras was in Merida and also led Caracas Archdiocese since 2018 as Apostolic Administrator. He is the vice president of the Episcopal Conference of Latin America (CELAM).
In Germany, Porras has been a frequent guest at the Katholikentag where Muslims pick up Novus-Ordo-Communion and the Gospel is insulted.
If Porras were a Catholic, Francis would have fired him three years ago when he turned 75.

@Adrien I am still wondering how this Magisterial document the Constitution "Postquam Verus - The Cardinals of the Holy Roman Church" by Pope Sixtus V 1586 (limiting the College of Cardinals "forever" to only 70 members) has been deliberately treated as if worthless and none-binding since 1958. Since the date it was written in 1586, for hundreds of years up to the death of Pius XII in 1958, this document was faithfully adhered to.. The number of Cardinals always remaining a lot less than 70. Yet John XXIII ignored it, packed the College with Cardinals and from 1958 to the present this "eternally binding" document has just been ignored.
What is worrying is, that it specifies the Constitution MUST be obeyed and that any Cardinals elected OVER that number will be automatically "Null and void." How can any Conclave be valid? I wish someone like Dr Taylor Marshall would cover this....It clearly is binding. I think fear of rocking the boat keeps MANY silent when some really IMPORTANT issue like this needs discussing. A reliable and TRUSTWORTHY, HONEST Canon Lawyer should be asked to comment. Unfortunately both Fr Gomer de Pauw and Fr Hesse are no longer with us.

He is not a Cardinal since there is no Pope to accept him in this Sacred College unlike the 2022's Cardinals.
A heretic Pope appoints a heretic cardinal......no surprise. Francis is running out of supporters, and running out of time. What's the old saying, something like "desperation breeds contempt" Well, Francis is desperate, knowing a rising tide against his agenda, and knowing that he probably has less than a year to go. Curtain is going on you and your plans, buddy man Bergoglio.
@Liam Ronan -Thank you for the Chaucer quoye. Ihad a feeling I got it wrong . I don't know why I'm alittle more optomistic than you about worse than Bergoglio around the corner. I just think someone more like Benedict XVI, or maybe even more traditional-leaning than him is next. I used to feel sorry for Bergoglio, knowing how much he is despised. But I changed my mind....he's done it deliberatly to himself and to the Church, so if he's forced to resign because of rising tide against him and his agenda (which is possible), I feel no sympathy for him at all.
