A woman who read the epistle also wore rubber gloves, likely to protect herself from the Word of God.

As Euripides wrote "Whom the gods destroy they first make mad." If these people did have faith in God they would not be handling the Eucharist, His Body Blood Soul and Divinity and His Holy Word, The Bible as if they were toxic substances. Novus Ordo????

The Church condemned Eucharistic Hyper-realism about 800 years ago. There is NOTHING in the Church's authentic teaching about the Real Presence that suggests that pathogens die on contact with the Sacred Species.
