It remains "forbidden" for Catholics to be Freemasons, writes Tucho Fernández in a document signed by Francis on November 13.
He was responding to a question from Dumaguete Bishop Julito Cortes, Philippines, who had asked how to deal with a “continuous rise in the number of the faithful enrolled in Freemasonry.”
Tucho repeats Ratzinger’s 1983 declaration that active membership in Freemasonry by a Catholic is prohibited, because of the irreconcilability between Catholic doctrine and Freemasonry.
Therefore, “those who are formally and knowingly members of Masonic lodges and who have embraced Masonic principles fall under the provisions [excommunication] of the above-mentioned declaration. These measures also apply to any clerics enrolled in Freemasonry.”
Asked about the “pastoral” level, Tucho proposes that the bishops should teach the reasons for the irreconcilability between the Faith and Freemasonry (“conduct catechesis”).

One of my college professors 10 years ago was a Mason. Depending on their rank in their lodge, they wear a ring. I saw his, with the insignia. He was a history professor, and when the Catholic Church was a topic of discussion as to the historical period under review, he never failed to present the Catholic Church, or the Pope of the time, in a subtly negative light.
Isn't Francis himself a member of a non-catholic organization?

@Liam Ronan I would not say that any Rotarian is a Mason but that the Rotary Club is rather a para-masonic organization. It is essential to mention this: there's a Masonic Lodge only for Rotarians. Some people say the Rotarian leaders are members of the Rotarian Masonic Lodge.

Note: I never said that Francis Bergoglio is an initiated Free-Mason, and I do not believe it at all, despite his relation with many Masonic friends.
(The Order of the Eastern Star is a Masonic appendant body open to both men and women. It was established in 1850 by lawyer and educator Rob Morris, a noted Freemason, and adopted and approved as an appendant body of the Masonic Fraternity in 1873.)

Oh please….are you kidding? Kissy is the biggest freemason in the entire Vatican. Spewing heresy all over the Church like it’s projectile diarrhea from the bowels of someone with ebola. He’s the absolute epitome and embodiment of satanic freemasonry. It’ll take generations to cleanse the Church from his filth.

Francis is deceptive. And cunning. As Denis Efimov pointed aout above, the Francis Church already promotes Masonic ideals. So if you are a follower of Francis and fis fake catholicism you are a de facto Freemason.

Wow, are there still those who actually join lodges? Isn’t it enough that there is a synodal church that supports and promotes all Masonic goals (secularism, globalism, mondialism, liberalism, “freedom, equality, fraternity”, tolerance, relativism, indifferentism, etc.) and fights everything Catholic?

Wow. How strange. Francis and Tucho reaffirm Catholic teaching on the evils of Freemasonry. I thought that everyone was welcome in their fabulous new church?
