Cardinal Burke Has Set the Date

Cardinal Raymond Burke has launched an initiative inviting the faithful to return to prayer. Burke cites the example of the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico, which led to the conversion of over 9 million Aztecs.

The initiative consists of a nine-month novena to Our Lady, beginning on 12 March. The "immense spiritual undertaking" will culminate in a Marian consecration on her feast day, 12 December.

"Our Lady has not forgotten her children: her care for us is as strong today as it was 500 years ago. Please join me in this return to the Mother of God."

“I want to tell all Christian parents that they are the glory of the Church. Your witness is sometimes a daily martyrdom. But your mission is great! You bear the hope of the world and of the Church! Stand firm!” Robert Cardinal Sarah

Can you choose a daily prayer, e.g. the Litany of Lauritanian? Or is a novena prayer every Sunday enough? There is great hope, 1. for the hierarchy to return to the Catholic faith. And 2. with an intervention by Mary like she did in Guadalupe, the wrong politics would also be blown away; it is substitutive religious (idolization of the climate and nature) and murderous (abortion, mRNA vaccination).

Cardinal Burke is doing his best with the lights which have been given to him. ~ By the Grace of God; we will all come together at the end of this trial. ~ Prayer is more powerful than bullets and faith more powerful than armies. ~ It is the path of the "salvation of souls", likewise the summons to Penance and Conversion. ~ "Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come", ~ "Immaculate Heart of Mary Pray …More

It's like our church is on fire and the chief fireman is saying: let's pray a novena that the fire stops...

@Boanerges Boanerges. 🤔 We can't all be people of action, due to a variety of reasons. Therefore prayer, (specifically the rosary) becomes the primary course of action. 🙏 🙏 🙏

I'm not the one who judges. As long as you think that those reasons are valid excuse in front of God, I am fine with that. For all I know is that there are many souls at stake

The good Cardinal need not go back 500 years nor do we need a novena! Why cannot the clergy do what the BVM asked . The rosary every day , first Saturdays of reparation, the scapular and the consecration of Russia. What the hell does heaven have to do to get their attention? Have the Sun dance and spin in the sky! No that won’t even work. Why listen to God when you have better ideas😝
Klaus Elmar Müller
Great trust in God and fervent prayer always work. The conversion of a continent through Mary's intervention in Guadalupe is a sign of hope. We pious people already pray the daily rosary. Pointing bitterly at those who don't is counterproductive. Do you even want a historical change?
Credo .
@Klaus Elmar Müller. Very humbly said. 😂

A few quotes from Bishop Athanasius Schneider: ~ The more Church authorities continue to be unrepentant about the display of pagan idols in churches, and even in Rome, the more we will confess the truth: "What agreement has the temple of God with idols?" (Cor.6:16), the more we will condemn with you "the abomination of desolation, standing in the holy place" (Matt.24:15), O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, holy Temple of God!

The more your holy commandments are forgotten and transgressed, the more we want to observe them with the help of your grace, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, abyss of all virtues!

The more sensuality, selfishness, and pride reign amongst men, the more we want to dedicate our lives to you in the spirit of sacrifice and self-abnegation, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, overwhelmed with reproaches!

The more violently the gates of hell storm against your Church and the rock of Peter in Rome, the more we believe in the indestructibility of your Church, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, source of all consolation, who do not abandon your church and the rock of Peter even in the heaviest storms! ~ 🙏🙏🙏

Just denounce Vatican II and acknowledge the SSPX is not in schism and I'll join you. Otherwise, pray that God opens your eyes to the truth.

Whether Vatican II can still be interpreted in a Catholic way: I say yes, but that is unimportant because it was not only a flop, but also brought disaster. The episcopal ordinations by Excellency Bishop Lefebvre did not lead to schism due to the new CIC of 1983: CAN 1382 (excommunication as a punishment due to the unauthorized ordination of bishops) did not come into force because there was an …More

The episcopal ordinations by Excellency Bishop Lefebvre did not lead to schism due to the new CIC of 1983: CAN 1382 (excommunication as a punishment due to the unauthorized ordination of bishops) did not come into force because there was an emergency according to Canon 1323 No. 4; even if this emergency was wrongly assumed by His Excellency Archbishop Lefebvre (putative emergency), no punishment can occur because canon law does not follow the old Germanic idea that it is the external act that counts. Rather, canon law only punishes what was committed knowingly, willfully and sinfully.

Glad to see His Eminence active again on the global front.
Ivan Tomas
Can we call this really active?
Mary Louise Veritas
Ivan, you are correct. This is not much. I suspect the reason Cardinal Burke, does not say much, and nothing on the fiasco at St. Patrick's Cathedral, is because he and Cardinal Dolan are classmates and very close friends.
Boanerges Boanerges
If he is his close friend that's just more of a reason to correct him. This is not a game, we live in a time of great apostasy, many souls are at stake
Ivan Tomas
Thank you for your lengthy post, son. Where is his fraternal correction? At least.

@Ivan Tomas Apparently you failed to actually READ my “lengthy post” in its entirety, Tom, or perhaps your comprehension skills are compromised or deficient. You are still looking for human solutions to purely spiritual problems. You, and others like you, desire to haplessly adopt and apply carnal remedies in a vain attempt to rectify that which has its roots in the spiritual. Failing to recognize that the problem we are confronted with and challenged by in Holy Mother Church today, is one that only God Himself can correct. The great Cardinal Burke clearly understands and accepts this; while you, in your willful ignorance, sadly do not.
