Barron's WordOnFire media ministry is allegedly under fire over an unspecified workplace culture of "secrecy, hyper-masculinity and boys’ club atmosphere" - the anti-Catholic NcrOnline.org (June 1) fabulates. Six employees have left Word on Fire in recent months.
The highest-paid employee, 40, a former bodybuilder, fitness model and MTV personality, who became Barron’s senior producer and photographer, was dismissed last year after four former girlfriends - none of them worked for WordOnFire - accused him of "non-consensual sexual behaviour."

While traditional and many conservative Catholics have complaints about +Barron being too liberal or part of the USCCB system, the fact is that, in the eyes of Rome, he's too conservative.

Rome has shown it doesn't care about those type of controversies like at WoF. Maybe Barron was demoted because he's seen as a typical American bishop [=overconcerned with neoconservative politics] hated by Francis. But he has a platform and his influence is much further-reaching than most American bishops.
