“In these troubling times, with so much confusion even from Rome, it is critical to remain IN THE CHURCH,” noted Tyler Bishop Joseph Strickland, Texas, on Twitter.com (May 13), and called PiusX and Sedevacantists “schismatic movements” that are “an injury to the Body of Christ.” A day later, Strickland published "a correction" referring to Bishop Schneider that "the SSPX is not in schism" and "continues to hold Tradition out for the Universal Church." Even Francis has stated that PiusX confessions are valid and licit and therefore all sacraments.

In my area, in Conshohacken afew miles from my house there is a Catholic Church with a sign on their fron lawn which says "St. Matthew's Parish Community"......not Roman Catholic Church, or Catholic Church. JUst "parish community". Someone passing by could think it's anything except CAtholic. Really gross, for someone to think a 140 yr. old Catholic parish re-built in 1917 by hard working mostly …More

JUst "parish community". Someone passing by could think it's anything except CAtholic. Really gross, for someone to think a 140 yr. old Catholic parish re-built in 1917 by hard working mostly Irish parishoners might be Episcopal, or Lutheran, Methodist, or worst of all "pentecostalist". Should make a good Catholic angry the thought of it. I personally would hate being mislabeled as a "pentecostolist" Christian....among the worst of a bad lot.

At one time beneath the name of the church, it use to say Roman Catholic. For example, St. Peter’s Roman Catholic church. Today we do not see the term Roman Catholic written any longer (with the exception of SSPX chapels). If it’s not Roman Catholic, then what is it?
