A key cause of the crisis seems to be the unbearable mistreatment of political prisoners. The clergy have already expressed their protests. Meeting for the first time with Anglican Dame Sarah Mullally, who holds the title Archbishop of Canterbury, Leo XIV encourages Catholics and Anglicans to proclaim Christ together. They prayed together in the Urban VIII Chapel in the Apostolic Palace. Leo XIV spoke about a fake archbishop who was an Anglican layman, and a pope who was far from saintly. “When archbishop Michael Ramsey and Saint Pope Paul VI announced the first theological dialogue between Anglicans and Catholics [in 1966], they spoke of seeking the ‘restoration of complete communion in faith and sacramental life’. Talking to Gloria.tv, Bishop Athanasius Schneider asks Pope Leo XIV to permit the episcopal consecrations of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. Since Leo XIV continually calls for peace in the world, the bishop argues that he should also foster peace within the Church. If he cannot make peace with the faithful and clergy of the FSSPX — Catholics who love and pray for the Pope — then his appeals for peace will lose credibility. Bishop Schneider therefore recommends that the Pope allow the consecrations as a gesture of reconciliation and to build bridges with the FSSPX, with whom he should continue discussions towards a lasting solution.

Anglican Lay-Archbishopessa Blesses at Tomb of St Peter: Today, Sarah Mullally, who holds the title of Anglican Archbishop of Westminster, visited St Peter’s basilica. She prayed at the tomb of St Peter together with Archbishop Flavio Pace, 48, Secretary of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian unity and blessed those present. Archbishop Pace crossed himself. On Monday, Leo XIV will receive Mrs Mullally in audience.

It's supposed to be a picture of Comet PanSTARRS (C/2025 R3), but it contains far more satellites than comets--more than 35 Starlinks in the full-frame photo. "The 'Starlink Zone of Maximum Reflection' appeared right in front of the comet," says Bush. "Stacking 30-second exposures helped alleviate the satellites, but they're still there." Latin Mass Returns to Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore: A Roman Rite pilgrimage, similar to the Chartres pilgrimage, began in Rome on 25 April. Over the course of three days, the pilgrims will walk 90 km to Subiaco. The route began with a Mass at the Basilica Maria Maggiore and passed through Castel Gandolfo.
