Bishops who prayed over President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on October 22 are distancing themselves from the event, accusing the White House of exploiting their prayer for political purposes just twelve days before the midterm elections. Denver Archbishop James Golka, who led the prayer, denied endorsing Trump or the Republicans. He said the bishops had not authorized publication of the footage and expressed sadness that a sacred act had been manipulated. Milwaukee Archbishop Jeffrey Grob publicly apologized, saying he regretted ignoring his reservations. Des Moines Bishop William Joensen admitted he had been naive and accused others of partisan exploitation. We can study it from the point of view of molecular biochemistry but also in terms of mathematical relations, logic and transformation. Comparison with computers There is some analogy with computers. A computer has a shape, dimensions, a chemical composition, physical parameters etc. All of this we refer to as hardware. But there is also software, currently much more expensive than hardware. We have the programs, the data bases, the files, the calculation sheets etc. Without the software, a computer is a pile of junk. With the software in place it does not change its shape, weight, chemistry of physical parameters, but it becomes functional. The FSSPX’s Christ the King pilgrimage opened in Lourdes on October 24, despite Bishop Jean-Marc Micas’ ban on celebrations inside the sanctuary’s basilicas. Pilgrims gathered under a large tent at Maison Saint-Ignace for four Masses. The day also included Stations of the Cross on the Espélugues hillside and individual prayers at the Grotto of Massabielle, as the faithful continued their pilgrimage despite the restrictions.
