Bishop Guido Gallese, 64, of Alessandria, Piedmont, is reportedly set to be removed from his diocese. LoSpiffero.com wrote on August 23 that the Apostolic Nuncio to Italy, Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, has been handling negotiations over Gallese’s exit following an Apostolic Visitation conducted by Cardinal Giuseppe Bertello earlier this year. Bishop Gallese, who is described as reluctant to leave, had sought a transfer to another diocese, but the proposal was rejected. Archbishop Peña Parra, who previously served as the Substitute for General Affairs in the Vatican Secretariat of State, offered the bishop several possible “ways out.” The solution now under discussion would see Bishop Gallese become ecclesiastical assistant to the Collegamento Nazionale Santuari, Italy’s national network of Catholic shrines. Ansa.it reported that the Apostolic Visitation focused on the administration and finances of the diocese amid controversy over the bishop’s lifestyle. Considerable media attention …More
Fifth Letter . [The original of the following letter is allegedly preserved in the city of Montalto in Calabria, Kingdom of Naples, and has been copied by John Baptist Francesco, a public notary:] My Lord and Brother in Jesus Christ our Lord, — May his Divine Majesty reign in every place, namely, in heaven, upon earth, and even in hell. How spiritually blind are those persons who, having no thought about the things of God, fix their end in earthly objects! Wretched men! by far worse than the very beasts which are guided by their senses, because they cannot have reason; but when men abandon the use of their reason, they become brutalized. Hence they shall ever be in confusion. Let, therefore, the princes of this world be prepared for the greatest scourges to fall upon them. But from whom? First from heretics and infidels, then from the holy and most faithful Cruciferi elected by the Most High, who, not succeeding in converting heretics with science, shall have to make a vigorous use of …More
"But when shall this take place? When crosses with the stigmas shall be seen, and the crucifix shall be carried as the standard. May our blessed Lord Jesus Christ reign! Gaudeamus omnes; let us all rejoice who are in the service of the Most High, because the great visitation and reformation of the world is approaching when there shall be only one fold and one Shepherd."
In Building His Border Wall, Trump May Bring Down a 110-Year-Old Church A century ago, Mnytimes.com/…est-texas-border-wall-ruidosa-corazo…exican American families came together to build an adobe church near the border in West Texas. Can its bell toll again as the wall expansion nears? The Friends of the Ruidosa Church group has worked to restore the adobe mission for the last 20 years. Members of the group worry that border wall construction could damage the site By Jazmine Ulloa Photographs and Video by Paul Ratje Aug. 24, 2026 Out in Far West Texas, a heavy bronze bell once tolled, calling congregants from both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border to worship at a small adobe church. The bell and the Catholic church in Ruidosa are hallmarks of an era when Mexican and American border communities lived as one. But nearly three generations ago, parishioners moved away from the tiny town. One of the church’s twin towers toppled. The bell disappeared. Local volunteers have begun restoring the …More
"It must be considered, however, that if there is a determined way of arriving at some end, those who proceed by a contrary way, or who turn aside from the right way, cannot attain that end. For a sick person is not cured if he uses the contrary things which the physician forbids, except perhaps by accident. Now there is a determined way of arriving at happiness, namely through virtue. For nothing attains its own end except by performing well what is proper to it: neither would a plant produce fruit if the mode of its natural operation were not preserved in it; nor would a runner reach the prize, or a soldier the palm, unless each operated according to his proper office. But for a man to operate rightly his proper operation is for him to operate according to virtue: for the virtue of each thing is that which makes its possessor good and renders his work good, as is said in Book II of the Ethics. Therefore, since the ultimate end of man is eternal life, of which it has been spoken, not …More
I am leaving Part 1 here The Resurrection of Christ Season 1. Episode 1 And this is the playlist for the other parts. Some are in French and others in Polish further down. The Film The Resurrection of Christ Monk Elijah (Clement, Disciple of the Apostle Peter – Volume III) The central theme of The Apocalypse, the third volume of the tetralogy Clement, Disciple of the Apostle Peter, is the Apostle John’s Revelation on the island of Patmos. Through the prism of such disturbing contemporary phenomena as the new world order, microchipping, gender ideology, heresy, idolatry and occultism, the book explores the meaning of apocalyptic symbols and imagery. One interesting aspect of the book is its prophetic nature. First published in Czech in 2019, the book highlighted dangerous means of global control and depopulation, such as microchipping, vaccination and digitalisation, which became a reality almost immediately in the near future (the Covid pandemic, artificial intelligence). Not only does …More

Fourth Letter My excellent Lord and Benefactor, — From the beginning of the world, after the creation of man, and to the end of human generation, there have been and there shall be seen wonderful events upon the earth. Four hundred years shall not pass when his Divine Majesty shall visit the world with a new religious order much needed, which shall effect more good among men than all other religious institutions combined. This religious order shall be the last and the best in the Church; it shall proceed with arms, with prayer, and with hospitality. Woe to tyrants, to heretics, and to infidels, to whom no pity shall be shown, because such is the will of the Most High! An infinite number of wicked men shall perish through the hands of the Cross-bearers, the true servants of Jesus Christ. They shall act like good husbandmen when they extirpate noxious weeds and prickly thistles from the wheat-field. These holy servants of God shall purify the earth with the deaths of innumerable wicked …More

Leo XIV says we shouldn't 'retreat into our own … Galatians 1:9 We have said this before, and now I repeat it: if anyone preaches to you a gospel other than the one you received, let him be accursed
Accursed he may be, but he also remains the Pope. A Pope has a specific role. It is not social policy or environmental propaganda. It is not "bringing the church into the modern age" not listening. It is very specifically to (Pastor Aeturnus Chapter 4, #6) "by [the Holy Spirit's] assistance, [the Pope] might religiously guard and faithfully expound the revelation or deposit of faith transmitted by the apostles." Everything else which comes from the Pope is to be treated as outside of their respective remits and protected neither by infalability nor the authority of the office.
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira An informal lecture gave on August 25, 1964 (*) August 25 is the feast of Saint Louis IX, king, confessor of the Faith, crusader and model of a Catholic head of state. There are two different ways people picture Saint Louis IX. One is as he truly was, the other is a soft, effeminate distortion of his person. This dichotomy is similar to the one that exists between many artists’ renditions of Saint Pius X and pictures of him. On the one hand, the photographs portray a giant of a man, strong soul and spiritual king, conscious of his dignity. On the other hand, many artists depict a feeble old grandfather, whose face begs pardon for being pope and regrets that he is not a simple priest. There is an abyss between this limp-wristed portrayal and the historic Saint Pius X, who was the hero against Modernism. Many artists’ renditions of Saint Pius X portray a limp-wristed distortion of his person as seen in photographs The same holds true with Saint Louis IX. On …More
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 23,23-26. Jesus said: "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You pay tithes of mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier things of the law: judgment and mercy and fidelity. (But) these you should have done, without neglecting the others. Blind guides, who strain out the gnat and swallow the camel! Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You cleanse the outside of cup and dish, but inside they are full of plunder and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup, so that the outside also may be clean."

The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (SSPX) has announced that it will continue its annual pilgrimage to Lourdes. Following the episcopal consecrations on July 1 in Ecône, Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes withdrew permission for the SSPX to celebrate public Masses, administer sacraments, or organize public prayers at Lourdes. In an August 22 statement, Fr. Gonzague Peignot, superior of the FSSPX in France, announced that the Fraternity intends to continue coming to Lourdes every year, “Our Lady does not deserve to be abandoned despite the obstacles,” he said. The FSSPX expressed 'sorrow and incomprehension', questioning the bishop's decision and pointing to the interreligious Christian-Muslim pilgrimage that was welcomed at the sanctuary in October 2025. For now, the FSSPX faithful intend to remain present at Lourdes, but their pilgrimage will no longer be able to take the same public form as in previous years. #newsPjxbelhyed
Really Leo XIV? "Let us seek not to retreat into our own convictions and religious certainties."
Two short video quotes from today's Angelus: Leo XIV offers unusual definitions of faith, suggesting that focusing on what has been handed down to us is insufficient.
The Society of Saint Pius X has built a new church in Atlanta, designed to accommodate 500 worshippers. It is designed in a neoclassical style and draws inspiration from Roman basilicas, although some Baroque elements are planned.
