When King David Kalākaua sent urgent requests around the world asking for doctors and nurses willing to care for people suffering from leprosy, the responses were overwhelmingly discouraging.
One rejection followed another.
Few people were willing to travel to Molokai, the isolated Hawaiian island where those diagnosed with the disease were sent. To many, it was known as a place of despair—a destination from which few ever returned.
Then, from Syracuse, New York, came a very different reply.
It was short and simple:
"I have been waiting for work like this."
The message came from Mother Marianne Cope.
She was 45 years old, respected, accomplished, and living a comfortable life as the leader of a thriving religious community. Yet she did not hesitate. She left behind security and familiarity and boarded a ship bound for Hawaii.
What she found there was heartbreaking.
Many of the patients had been abandoned by society. They lived with pain, isolation, and the daily reality of a disease …More

German Diocese Reduces to Just NINE Parishes

The Diocese of Speyer in southwestern Germany plans to reduce its current 70 parishes to just 9 large parish units. Bishop Karl-Heinz Wiesemann described the move as a “major turning point” that will require "courage" from all involved.
By October 31, the diocesan administration will present a plan for implementing the changes.
The new parishes will be led by a three-person team consisting of a pastor, a lay pastoral minister, and an administrative director.
Before a major reform in 2016, the diocese consisted of 346 parishes. These were merged into 70 larger parishes as part of the pastoral "reform" program.

Friday Hope: Colchicine: Taming the “Fuel for Cardiac Inflammation” of Spike Protein Exposure

Cardiac injury associated with SARS-CoV-2 and the role of epicardial adipose tissue. EAT, epicardial adipose tissue; ACE2, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2; MVD, microvascular damage; TNF, tumour necrosis factor; IL, interleukin.
Last year we discussed how Colchicine inhibits cytokine storms and microtubules in the context of COVID/Spike Protein disease/injury.
Friday Hope: Colchicine: Inhibiting Cytokine Storms, Microtubules and the Invasion of the Spike Protein
https://wmcresearch.substack.com/p/friday-hope-colchicine-inhibiting
Today I would like to discuss how Colchicine may play a greater role in treating COVID/Spike Protein disease/injury than originally thought. In particular, Colchicine may be very effective in treating the acute cardiac effects and cardiac sequelae of COVID/Spike Protein exposure. It does this, in part, by altering the inflammatory profile of epicardial adipose tissue (EAT), located between the myocardium and visceral pericardium.
First, for those who may not …

June 21 Saint Aloysius Gonzaga.
by Bob Lord on June 2, 2014 Aloysius Gonzaga, S.J. (Italian: Luigi Gonzaga, Spanish: Luis de Gonzaga; March 9, 1568 – June 21, 1591) was an Italian aristocrat who became a member of the Society of Jesus. While still a student at the Roman College, he died as a result of caring for the victims of an epidemic. He was beatified in 1605, and canonized in 1726.
Gonzaga was born the eldest of seven children,[1] at his family's castle in Castiglione delle Stiviere, between Brescia and Mantova in northern Italy in what was then part of the Duchy of Mantua, into the illustrious House of Gonzaga. "Aloysius" is the Latin form of Gonzaga's given name, Luigi.[2] He was the oldest son of Ferrante Gonzaga (1544–1586), Marquis of Castiglione, and Marta Tana di Santena, daughter of a baron of the Piedmontese Della Rovere family. Saint Jose Isabel Flores Varela
Additional Memorial

21 May as one of the Martyrs of the Mexican Revolution
Profile
Seminarian at Guadalajara, Mexico. Parish priest at Zapotlanejo, Jalisco, Mexico in 1900. Strong and gentle father to his flock, he refused to abandon his parish during the persecutions of the Church by the government; he went into hiding, and ministered covertly to his parishioners. The mayor of Zapotlanjejo, Jose Orozco, was virulently anti-Catholic, and offered a reward for the capture of any priest. Father Jose was betrayed for this reward, and arrested; his Judas was Nemesio Bermejo, an ex-seminarian who lived with Flores.
Flores was offered his freedom if he would accept the anti-Church Calles government; he declined. Orozco turned the Zapotlanejo rectory into a jail, threw Flores into it, gave him no food or water for three days, played music outside the gaol so he could not sleep, and repeatedly offered him freedom in exchange for cooperation; Father Jose declined. …More

Report: Williamson Confirmed Viganò's Conditional Episcopal Consecration in Writing

Bishop Richard Williamson (+ January 2025) allegedly confirmed to Sean Johnson that he had conditionally consecrated a Archbishop Carlo Viganò, 85, a bishop in 2023. Johnson published a 2023 email from Williamson on Seraphim54.substack.com on June 19.
Johnson is a former seminarian of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) and father of nine children who now attends Mass at the US-based Congregation of Saint Pius V (CSPV), a splinter group from the FSSPX.
Johnson's publication is consistent with information previously received by Gloria.tv from independent ecclesiastical sources.
Viganò was consecrated a bishop by Pope John Paul II in 1992.
Since 2023, a persistent rumour about the conditional [second] consecration of Viganò has circulated.
Johnson’s article claims that he emailed Viganò twice in November and December 2023 asking about those rumours but didn’t receive a reply.
Then, Johnson contacted Williamson.
The central statement attributed to Bishop Williamson regarding …More

God bless Bishop Williamson. Perhaps Vigano was "Conditionally Confirmed" by Williamson but that doesn't take away from the fact that Vigano is playing all sides, especially "holy Russia's." I do not doubt the validity of Williamson's act but whether Vigano was in a state to be able to receive it.

2th Sunday – OT – A - Gospel - Matthew 10:26–33 - The Spirit of truth
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 10,26-33.

Therefore do not be afraid of them. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.
What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.
And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's knowledge.
Even all the hairs of your head are counted.
So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father.
But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father."

To Those Who Still Find Themselves Caught in the Synodal Religion

Earlier this week, when Robert Prevost hosted his little impromptu press conference with journalists at Castel Gandolfo and made it clear that the SSPX is not welcome unless they agree with the false religion of Vatican II, I experienced a great peace in my spirit.
Though I had never fully articulated it, I had been viscerally aware of this for quite some time.
When the blaspheming heretic “Bishop” Weisenburger once again confirmed the doctrine of the Synodal Religion—that synodalists worship the same god as Muslims—waves of gratitude washed over me.
When the Archbishop of Milan presided over a Pride “Mass” last week, I did not get upset. It simply concentrated my anger into laser-sharp zeal: calm, focused, and deliberate.
I feel relief because I no longer have to partake in this rebellion against God and I can actually practice my faith and grow closer to Christ.
My wild anger and frustration with the false religion entrenched in Rome has departed from me, and I am at peace because …
