On June 30, Leo XIV appointed Bishop Marco Mellino as Secretary of the Dicastery for Legislative Texts. Until now, Mellino was the deputy secretary of the same Dicastery. He was one of the principal canon-law officials of Francis' Curial reform. Born in 1966 in Canale (Piedmont), Mellino was ordained a priest in 1991 and earned his licentiate (1999) and doctorate (2000) in canon law at the Pontifical Lateran University. Defending Amoris Laetitia In January 2018, Mellino defended the controversial Chapter VIII of Amoris laetitia about giving Communion to adulterers in an article entitled 'La comunione ad alcuni fedeli in situazione irregolare' (Communion for some members of the faithful in an irregular situation). Mellino belongs to the same canon-law milieu as Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, the principal Vatican defender of Amoris laetitia. In October 2018, Francis appointed Mellino as Bishop and Secretary of the Council of Cardinals (the "C9"). Creating a "Synodal Church" Monsignor …More
S.D. Wright Jul 1, 2026 The tradition of the Church is clear: Someone in Leo XIV's position cannot excommunicate the SSPX. After the Society of Saint Pius X’s episcopal consecrations on July 1, the Vatican is expected to issue a declaration of excommunication soon. These expectations were strengthened the day before, after Leo XIV’s June 29 letter to Father Davide Pagliarani, the SSPX’s superior general. The letter urged Pagliarani not to proceed with what it described as a “schismatic act” and stated that “to tear the seamless garment of Christ is a sin of extreme gravity.” Today’s episcopal consecrations may result in a different situation: In April, SSPX Bishop Bernard Fellay stated that Vatican sources had revealed the intention was to excommunicate the entire SSPX (i.e., all priests and official members), and even the lay faithful attending their chapels. However, it is impossible that the excommunications would be valid or binding. This article will explain how Catholic …More

1. July 2026 1. July 2026 07/01/2026 Entire blog as a free PDF eBook. I wrote about the fact that the pharmaceutical industry is a mafia more than five years ago. Now, using yesterday’s article on thedigger.co as an example—Inclisiran: How the NHS Became a Tool of Industrial Policy—you can follow, step by step, the entire process of approving an untested “drug” chosen by the mafia to unhealthily lower cholesterol levels necessary for life. The quotation marks around the word “drug” will become unnecessary if we agree with my definition of this substance: Drug – a chemical substance administered to alleviate symptoms or adjust laboratory test results to standards manipulated by the pharmaceutical industry, without triggering self-healing processes, and causing additional diseases. The issue of money in medicine is important, but it’s complex and difficult to grasp intuitively. To unpack this problem, I’ll show you the pathway of onedrug, from its discovery all the way through to its …
Tuesday, 8th July 1913 Girl Tells of Life in Slavers’ Hands Tuesday, July 8, 1913 Hattie Smith Warns Young Women of Atlanta Against the Wiles of Procurers. The startling expose of vice conditions by Hattie Smith, the prety [sic] 17-year-old girl, one of the alleged victims of the "system," resulted Tuesday in an aggressive war n [sic] the downtown hotels. Chief Beavers declared he would stamp out vice if he had to detail a special officer at every one of the hotels in question. Several additional arrests will be made before noon, it is believed. The Smith girls repeated her story with many additional details of the "system" which is said to be the most completely organized in the history of Atlanta. Taking a lesson from her own harrowing experience, she has issued a warning to young girls to beware of the women procurers, who, she says, ply the streets with pleasant smiles and entice girls to well-known hotels of the downtown district, where the "system" is so completely organized that …More
Aaron the High Priest | The First High Priest of Israel | Feast Day July 1st Today we remember Aaron, whose feast day is observed on July 1 in the Roman Martyrology. Aaron was the older brother of Moses and played a vital role in God's plan to free the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. When Moses felt unable to speak before Pharaoh, Aaron became his spokesman. Later, God appointed Aaron as the first High Priest of Israel, giving him the responsibility of leading the people in worship and offering sacrifices on their behalf. Aaron's ministry included: Leading Israel's worship Offering sacrifices to God Teaching God's law Serving God's people as High Priest Although Aaron was chosen by God, Scripture also shows that he was not without faults. He failed during the incident of the golden calf, yet he repented and continued serving faithfully. His life reminds us that God can work through imperfect people who return to Him with humble hearts. Aaron's priesthood ultimately …More
Aaron - Gedenktag katholisch: 1. Juli erster Priester * um 1529 v. Chr. in Ägypten † um 1452 v. Chr. Mose …More

June 30, 1988 Your Excellency, dear Bishop de Castro Mayer, my most dear friends, my dear brethren, Behold, here we are gathered for a ceremony, which is certainly historic. Let me, first of all, give you some information. The first might surprise you a little, as it did me. Yesterday evening, a visitor came, sent from the nunciature in Berne, with an envelope containing an appeal from our Holy Father the Pope, who was putting at my disposal a car which was supposed to take me to Rome yesterday evening, so that I would not be able to perform these consecrations today. I was told neither for what reason, nor where I had to go! I leave you to judge for yourselves the timeliness and wisdom of such a request. I went to Rome for many, many days during the past year, even for weeks; the Holy Father did not invite me to come and see him. I would certainly have been glad to see him if some agreement would have been finalized. So here you have the information. I give it to you simply, as I myself …More
Tuesday, 8th July 1913 Girl to Tell Her Story of Vice to Recorder Tuesday, July 8, 1913 Hattie Smith, Now Penitent, Will Make Confessions in Open Court Resolved to quit the life into which she so recently drifted, Hattie Smith, the Atlanta young woman whose revelations of vice "from the inside" gave the police some startling information Monday, will appear in police court on Tuesday afternoon and repeat in detail the story which she has recounted to the police. Upon the strength of that story Lena Barnhart, a white woman, and Elijah Murray, a negro bellboy, were arrested in the Cumberland hotel Monday and will be arraigned with Hattie Smith in court. The bellboy is involved by the Smith girl's story as an agent, a pernicious go-between. "Stay away from these cheap hotels in Atlanta," is the advice that the Smith girl is now anxious to give to other young women. She asserts that she is going to follow it herself, and that when she has atoned for whatever violation she has done to the …More
Book of Amos 7,10-17. Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, sent word to Jeroboam, king of Israel: "Amos has conspired against you here within Israel; the country cannot endure all his words. For this is what Amos says: Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be exiled from its land." To Amos, Amaziah said: "Off with you, visionary, flee to the land of Judah! There earn your bread by prophesying, but never again prophesy in Bethel; for it is the king's sanctuary and a royal temple." Amos answered Amaziah, "I was no prophet, nor have I belonged to a company of prophets; I was a shepherd and a dresser of sycamores. The LORD took me from following the flock, and said to me, Go, prophesy to my people Israel." Now hear the word of the LORD!" You say: prophesy not against Israel, preach not against the house of Isaac. Now thus says the LORD: Your wife shall be made a harlot in the city, and your sons and daughters shall fall by the sword; Your land shall be divided by measuring line …More
Ice Age Farmer @iceagefarmer BIS warns global economy will meltdown if AI bubble slows/bursts The Bank of International Settlements (central bank OF central banks) has warned in their latest report that the speculative capex spending around AI has reached proportions so absurd — think tulip mania times Roaring 20's times dot-com — that if anything even so much as slows down, the whole house of cards will fall, and the global economy will slip into a deep depression or collapse altogether. Companies like Nvidia and the hyperscalers (google, meta, oracle) are borrowing money hand over fist, throwing a TRILLION DOLLARS at new capacity, with no understanding of how that will possibly be paid off. But at this point, the idea of stopping it is unthinkable, and the results would be catastrophic. When (not if) this thing turns—and the signs are already there—those who can grow their own and exist without grid power or supermarkets for a time are the ones who will be left standing. The episcopal consecrations in Ecône, Switzerland, today should lead the Church to reconsider the restrictions on the Mass in the Roman rite, Cardinal Gerhard Müller told IlGiornale.it on July 1. The restrictions imposed by Traditionis Custodes (2021) have only strengthened the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) by giving them "a symbol of dissent against Rome". They have "almost served as propaganda" for them. According to Cardinal Müller, Traditionis Custodes "has not had a positive effect": "Using an authoritarian approach to demand blind obedience is not our way." He praised Benedict XVI's Summorum Pontificum (2007) for bringing "a great deal of peace" to the Church, adding: "One cannot prohibit the rite in its ancient form." The ancient Mass cannot be harmful when "the saints and the Fathers of the Church celebrated in this form." Cardinal Müller rejected the claim that those attached to the ancient rite reject the Second Vatican Council, arguing instead that the …More
Tuesday, 8th July 1913 Newt Lee’s Attorneys Seeking His Freedom Tuesday, July 8, 1913 Habeas Corpus Proceedings May Bring Frank and Conley Face to Face Petition for a writ of habeas corpus in behalf of Newt Lee, the negro night watchman at the National Pencil factory who has been held in jail since the Mary Phagan murder as a suspect, has been drawn up at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon by the negro's attorneys, Graham and Chappell, and the firm then was seeking the signature of the nearest available judge of the Fulton superior court to a writ fixing the time and place for a hearing upon the matter and directing Newt Lee be brought into court. It is by this method that the negro is said to seek his freedom from jail, contending that there is no reason for confining him for any part in the matter. The solicitor is expected to vigorously fight the habeas corpus and insist that Lee be held as a material witness. Should the petition be signed both the state and the attorneys for Leo M. Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 8,28-34. When Jesus came to the territory of the Gadarenes, two demoniacs who were coming from the tombs met him. They were so savage that no one could travel by that road. They cried out, "What have you to do with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the appointed time?" Some distance away a herd of many swine was feeding. The demons pleaded with him, "If you drive us out, send us into the herd of swine." And he said to them, "Go then!" They came out and entered the swine, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea where they drowned. The swineherds ran away, and when they came to the town they reported everything, including what had happened to the demoniacs. Thereupon the whole town came out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him they begged him to leave their district. angelyelina
