Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (later Pope Benedict XVI) extensively explained the Apostles' Creed in his 1968 book, Introduction to Christianity. He analyzed it as a "symbolum" (a, sign of unity) and explored its meaning within the context of modern faith and existentialism. Now, FYI, During the time of Rebiba, all hell broke loose at the Vatican with fires, which destroyed the ONLY documentation of the Apostolic Line of Succession. The Theologians had a big fit, and were told by the Vatican to Hush Up or we'll make your life miserable. Yes, the Roman Catholic Church was Apostolic in it's formation, but today there is no documented proof of that - and the Vatican know this. Moreover - in today's Church, can you truly say it is Apostolic? Therefore, technically, the Apostles Creed today is incorrect. We do Not have a One- Holy- Catholic - Apostolic Church....... now do we? Second point - The Vatican, knowing this, is making every effort with the Orthodox Church to reestablish ties of full …More
At the close of its sixth assembly in Stuttgart on Saturday, the German Synodal Assembly narrowly approved, by the required two-thirds majority, a resolution authorizing the creation of a national Synodal Conference planned for the autumn. The central dispute concerned whether the new body should "monitor" the implementation of synodal resolutions in the dioceses. Even Cardinal Reinhard Marx of Munich warned against creating a superior authority that would supervise bishops or interfere in diocesan governance. “I do not want that,” Marx said. Similarly, Bishop Peter Kohlgraf of Mainz said that a control body overseeing bishops would contradict Catholic principles. Bishop Josef Overbeck of Essen expressed confidence. The Vatican has been informed about the planned body and he expects approval in the coming weeks. Asked about a possible rejection from Rome, Bishop Georg Bätzing of Limburg said he had no indication that approval was in doubt and ruled out proceeding without Vatican consent …More
FEBRUARY 1 2026 THE GOSPEL breski1 Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 5,1-12. When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him. He began to teach them, saying: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you (falsely) because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven."

One of the angels flanking the tomb of Italy’s last king, Umberto II, in the San Lorenzo in Lucina basilica in Rome appears to bear the face of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. According to LaRepubblica.it, the angel was originally painted with a generic face prior to recent restoration work. The basilica is currently undergoing broader restoration work, and the Diocese of Rome says this was meant to proceed 'without changes or additions'. Therefore, the alteration of the angel’s face was attributed to the decorative restorer, who was a volunteer, and was not communicated to heritage authorities. Bruno Valentinetti, the restorer, has denied intentionally depicting Meloni, claiming that he was merely replicating imagery from around 25 years ago, using traditional designs and colours. The Diocese says it is investigating the matter further. Prime Minister Meloni responded humorously on social media, writing that she “definitely doesn’t look like an angel”. #newsUyjtlhuqux
Blessed Maria Bolognesi - Feast Day: January 30 Born: October 21, 1924 Died: January 30, 1980 Maria Bolognesi was born in 1924 at Bosaro of a very poor family. She lived a life full of difficulties but rich in supernatural gifts. With her death in 1980, she left unfinished a house for convalescents which, however, was finished later on. In 1942, she had her first vision of Jesus, which was confirmed by the gift of a wedding ring and the miraculous healing of a woman friend of hers. Shortly after that, she began to undergo within herself the sufferings Christ experienced on Calvary. Before showing himself to her, God permitted that, for her purification, she should live through a period of demonic possession, which lasted almost two years. For a year and a half Maria was immersed in unbelievable suffering, which affected her physically and morally. The beginning of this possession goes back to June 21, 1940. This is how her biographers describe this period: “She alternated moments that …More
The cilice (an instrument of penance) that Blessed Maria Bolognesi wore She had a total of eight temptations over the course of several years. Her last temptation took place on May 15, 1949. This time after she rejected the devil again, he said: “I see that there is nothing else that I can do. I have to leave you forever. I could not conquer you. You love for Him makes me tremble. Everything was useless. I burn not being able to touch you. During your trial (referring to what took place on October 25, 1948), I was waiting, thinking that it would make you evil. But everything was in vain. The One whom you love does not allow me to tempt you anymore. Be consumed then by the One who has promised you eternal happiness.” At the end of this dialogue with Satan, she heard the voice of Jesus say, “Satan, this is your last temptation. You will not return anymore.” Then in a puff of smoke, the devil disappeared.
