President Narcissus and the Fetid Reflecting Pool

Ms. Cottle writes about national politics for Opinion.
Public service announcement for anyone planning to visit Washington in the immediate term: Steer clear of President Trump’s hot mess of a reflecting pool. Don’t dip a digit in its emerald water. Don’t play with its “American flag blue” strips of peeling paint. Don’t get too close to the federal workers struggling to repair this refurbishment from hell. In fact, maybe skip the landmark altogether, lest you, too, get cuffed and hauled off by the park police for allegedly desecrating the president’s most half-baked vanity project to date.

De Mattei: Any Bishop Could Claim a Right to Consecrate Bishops in a Crisis

Italian historian Roberto de Mattei reflected on the announced episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) in an article published on CorrispondenzaRomana.it on June 24.
"State of Necessity" Cannot Be Self-Judged
For De Mattei, the state of necessity argument is simultaneously "the weakest and the strongest argument".
His question is: "Who has the authority to verify the existence of such a state and determine its beginning and end?"
He argues that if the FSSPX can independently determine when a state of necessity exists, then it also implicitly claims the authority to determine when that state ends.
That would place the FSSPX in a position of judging the Holy See rather than being judged by it.
De Mattei acknowledges that Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre was not a speculative theologian or canonist, but a pastor of souls: "The decisive criterion for him was not the assertion of a right proper to the FSSPX, but the spiritual need of the faithful."

The SSPX is not "self judging" the state of necessity. When Pope Leo XIV said that the SSPX's adherence to 20 church councils was a problem because, "they refuse to accept certain fundamental elements of the church," he admits that neither he nor the church he leads holds to the faith of those 29 councils, commonly known as the Apostolic faith. Thus, it is necessary to consecrate bishops nominated by those continuing to hold the Apostolic faith.
We are very blessed that the Pope has made it clear that there is a schism of the Synodal Church from the Apostolic Faith. A declaration of excommunication would only make formal what Archbishop Lefebvre said at the outset, Vatican II was the intiation of a new faith.

‘The Complete Visions of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich’ ~ ‘The bitter passion of our Lord Jesus Christ’ ~ part 4 ~ MEDITATION VII; ‘The Washing of the Feet.’

[Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich; XVIII-XIX Century; born: 8 September 1774 Flamschen, Coesfeld, Prince-Bishopric of Münster, Holy Roman Empire/ died: 9 February 1824 (aged 49), Dülmen, Kingdom of Prussia, German Confederation; mystic, Marian visionary and stigmatist; Roman Catholic Augustinian canoness]
MEDITATION VII. ~ The Washing of the Feet.
They arose from table, and whilst they were arranging their clothes,
as they usually did before making their solemn prayer, the major-domo came in with two servants to take away the table. Jesus, standing in the midst of his Apostles, spoke to them long, in a most solemn manner. I could not repeat exactly his whole discourse, but I remember he spoke of his kingdom, of his going to his Father, of what he would leave them now that he was about to be taken away, etc. He also gave them some instructions concerning penance, the confession of sin, repentance, and justification.
I felt that these instructions referred to the washing of the feet, and …More

"Jesus showed him to the other Apostles, and said, that when he should be no more present among them, Peter was to fill his place in their regard. Peter said: ‘Thou shalt never wash my feet!’ Our Lord replied: ‘If I wash thee not, thou shalt have no part with me.’ Then Peter exclaimed: ‘Lord, not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.’ Jesus replied: ‘He that is washed, needeth not but to wash his feet, but is clean wholly. And you are clean, but not all.’"

Can Lay People Preach at Mass? The Vatican Issues Official Ruling ⚖️ | SG News
The Vatican has officially reaffirmed the Church's long-standing teaching that the homily during Holy Mass is reserved exclusively for ordained ministers. 📖 The Dicastery for Divine Worship, led by Cardinal Arthur Roche, formally declined a request from the German Bishops' Conference, headed by Bishop Georg Bätzing, which sought permission for qualified lay faithful to preach the homily under exceptional circumstances. Rome clarified that the homily is not a flexible disciplinary practice subject to administrative exceptions. Rather, it is intrinsically connected to the proclamation of the Gospel and the teaching ministry entrusted to bishops, priests, and deacons through the Sacrament of Holy Orders. ✝️ While denying the request, Vatican officials strongly emphasized the vital and irreplaceable role of the laity in evangelization, catechesis, and other forms of ministry outside the celebration of Mass.…More

3 .The tabernacle
And I came to a tabernacle, the inside of which was made of the hardest steel.
And entering in, I performed works of light where before I had done deeds of darkness.
In this tabernacle, therefore, towards the north, I set up a pillar of unpolished iron on which I hung small fans of various feathers moving back and forth. I found manna, and I ate it. Towards the east I built a fortification of square stones, kindling a fire within. Here I drank myrrh-flavoured wine with grape-must.
Towards the south I made a tower of square stones on which I hung red shields; in the windows I placed trumpets of ivory. And in the middle of the tower I poured out honey and prepared a …More

So he will stay. But the best part is, I get to see him humiliated on a daily bases. Not only from Iran and China and other countries. but by his own stupidity. How many times a day does he change his mind in tweets no less? No one knows. Sometimes twice in an hour. The good news is, he has only a very small click of followers. FSSPX Addresses Rome Again: "One Day Honest Discussion with Holy See"

The superiors of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X published today another Open Letter to Leo XIV and to the Cardinals. The letter is no call to action nor a negotiating proposal but rather another public reaffirmation of the Fraternity's long-standing position. Attached is a 28-page document (English below) with the Catholic faith. This document repeatedly affirms strong papal authority adding that the pope possesses "supreme, full, immediate, and universal jurisdiction". The letter.
Most Holy Father,
Most Reverend Eminences,
On the eve of the Consistory at the end of this month, and just days before the episcopal consecrations scheduled for 1 July in Écône, it seems to us that the time has come for the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X to make a full profession of Catholic Faith, which we wish to place in the hands of Your Holiness and each one of the Cardinals.
Today the Church suffers under the pressure of new forces, coming both from within and without, which push her in …More

DMSO
Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is a remarkable, naturally occurring compound that stands as a testament to the profound healing potential suppressed by the pharmaceutical-medical complex. Derived from lignin, a component of wood, DMSO is a colorless, odorless solvent with an extraordinary ability to penetrate biological membranes, making it one of the most versatile and potent therapeutic agents in natural medicine. Its properties are not merely theoretical but are well-documented across decades of research, demonstrating its capacity to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, scavenge free radicals, and facilitate the transport of other healing substances deep into tissues. The suppression of DMSO by mainstream medical institutions, particularly the FDA, serves as a classic case study of how natural, affordable, and effective therapies are sidelined to protect the monopoly profits of the drug industry.

Never Doubt God's Hidden Purpose
Zechariah and Elizabeth’s story teaches us that God’s plans may not align with our expectations, but He has greater purposes in mind. Jeremiah’s story reminds us that God calls us from the womb and equips us for His purposes, even if we feel unworthy or incapable. We are all called to be saints, to love God, and to be a light in the world, and God’s grace will enable us to fulfill His will.

Tuesday, 24th June 1913 Frank’s Trial Set For Next Monday
Tuesday, June 24, 1913
Indications Are Case Will Begin on That Day—Jury Panel Not Yet Drawn by Judge Roan.
The trial of Leo M Frank, superintendent of the National Pencil Factory, now under indictment for the murder of Mary Phagan on April 26 in the factory, has been definitely set for next Monday. This was the announcement of Solicitor General Hugh M. Dorsey last night after he had been working upon the court calendar for the coming week.
Solicitor Dorsey announced Sunday upon his arrival from New York city where he had spent the past two weeks that he intended to set the case for that date unless something unforeseen should come up. While he did not complete his calendar on Monday, he reached the Frank case and placed it definitely upon the docket.
The defense has indicated that it is ready to go [to] trial and it appears now that the case will actually be taken up on that day. Should it be postponed, it will be after a showing …
