We have all recently experienced a great loss. The fire in the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris was a tragic and devastating event witnessed by millions around the world.
But more devastating has been the crisis in the Church. The loss of Faith and vocations, the decline of morals, and the closing or selling off of churches.
But… There is hope. There is a new light that’s growing.
For half a century, the Society of St. Pius X has been restoring all things in Christ. Restoring the faith, rebuilding the family, and rekindling the light of hope.
That is why, a new Church is being built in the small Catholic town of St. Marys. A place that in 1978, witnessed a devastating Church fire - like that of Notre Dame. A place that has grown exponentially …More

Our Chance at (True) Happiness - Laetare Sunday Sermon - Fr. Patrick Rutledge.
sspx.org/en/media - Our chance at true happiness. Fr. Patrick Rutledge, Rector of St. Marys Academy and College (St. Marys, KS) addresses the faithful on Laetare Sunday. Laetare Sunday is a moment in the midst of a penitential season during which the Church calls Her children to rejoice. Why? It is all too often that we, as fallen creatures, easily lose site of the goal, of the purpose for which we are fasting, for which we are striving during Lent. She calls us to re-orient, to remember, and to look up towards our true calling, the path to which is the answer to finding true (not perfect, but true) happiness in this life and in the next.

11 Questions with Fr. Pagliarani (in English, 2019) - SSPX.
sspx.org/en - Fr. Davide Pagliarani visited the United States for the first time since becoming Superior General of the Society of St. Pius X. Although he was available only for canonical visits during the Prior’s Meeting in Winona - and additional meetings at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary - Angelus Press was able to ask him some questions for his first ever English-speaking interview.
00:56 – Question 1: You are relatively unknown in the English-speaking world beyond your recent election as Superior General. Can you introduce yourself?
Actually, I think this is not just a problem of the English-speaking countries. To give an example, a few weeks back in Paris, a priest asked me my name. So it's always a bit embarrassing to say I’m the new Superior General - so I was a bit embarrassed but he was embarrassed as well. Yes, actually I spent most of my time as a priest either in Italy or in the Far East in Singapore for three years …More

I guess Bishop Schneider likes to be abused and abuse others and pretend he is a Saint
I see the pattern in Catholic Church abusing people into holiness
Even in FSSP
FR. ROMANOVSKI AND FR. PASSO ABUSING CERTAIN SOULS INTO SUBMISSION
AND PROBABLY MANY OTHER PRIESTS IN FSSP
WHY? BECAUSE THEY DO NOT WANT TO SUFFER FOR THE SALVATION OF THE SOULS as St . John Viani and other Saints did THEY BELIEVE GOD NEEDS THEIR HELP TO INFLICT SUFFERING UPON THE SOULS FSSP NEVER HEARD ABOUT IMITATION OF THE CHRIST!!!!! GOD GIVES EVERY SOUL SUFFICIENT SUFFERINGS FOR THE SANCTIFICATION OF THEIR SOUL THEY FEEL GOD IS FAILING IN IT AND THEY KNOW BETTER!!!! HOW MUCH SUFFERINGS WE SHOULD HAVE SO THEY INFLICT IT UPON US IS THAT CORRECT FR. ROMANOVSKI? GO BACK TO MEXICO!!! YOUR SPIRITUALITY AND MATURITY FITS THERE!!!! SSPX Podcast 🎧The Greatest Schism in 1,000 Years?
We talk with the Assistant Editor of Angelus Press, Mr. Gabriel Sanchez about this shocking news from the Eastern Catholic Church. While it may be too early to call the Moscow Patriarchate’s move a formal schism, it is expected that the other self-governing Orthodox churches around the world will begin choosing sides soon enough, perhaps leading to an unraveling of Orthodoxy’s confederate-style governing model.

St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary (STAS) is a house of studies of the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), established in the United States in 1973, for the formation of Roman Catholic priests according to the traditional teaching of the Church. St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary draws from the greatest riches of the 2,000 year history of the Church in the formation of her priests. The formation that the seminarians receive is traditional in every aspect: doctrine, liturgy, retreats, daily schedule, etc. The core of the seminarians' study is the philosophy and theology of St. Thomas Aquinas, while moderate proficiency in Latin is required before ordination. A typical day in the life of the seminarian contains three hours of prayer, three hours of classes, four hours of study, and a hour and a half of recreation. Seminarians are expected to attain the holiness …More

Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem Closed in Protest.
fsspx.news/…/why-christian-c… – The Church of the Holy Sepulcher, built on the site of Christ’s tomb, was closed on February 25th, 2018. This decision was in response to a new city-tax levied on the Holy Site. These sacred sites were long exempt from municipal taxes but recently the mayor of Jerusalem attempted to collect over $180 million dollars in what was referred to as “back taxes”. The site was only closed for a few days and was open again in time for Easter as the mayor reacted by backtracking his tax plan - although he is still attempting to push some new form of taxation in the future.

Catholic Sites of Martyrdom Turn Red around the World.
fsspx.news/…/coliseum-lit-re… – On Saturday, February 24th at 6:00 p.m., the Coliseum in Rome as well as Churches in Iraq and Syria were lit up in red. This was done “so that the world might open its eyes” about the persecutions against Christians around the globe. Present at the event was a Nigerian Catholic woman abducted in August 2014, during an attack by the Islamic military group - Boko Haram. While captive she was tortured, abused, and sold as a slave - a direct result of her refusal to abandon her Catholic Faith. Eventually, by the grace of God she escaped and was invited to Rome to tell her story and increase awareness of Christian persecution in the world today.

Oldest Piece of Catholic Art made in North America.
fsspx.news/…/museum-auch-fra… – One of the most ancient examples of Christian art from the Americas was created in 1539 by Aztecs for Franciscan missionaries in Mexico. This image depicts a Eucharistic miracle of the sixth century that took place during a pontifical Mass of Saint Gregory the Great. The miracle occurred in response to the those present who doubted that the bread and wine actually became the Body and Blood of Christ. The image utilizes Aztec techniques of featherwork to beautifully depict this Eucharistic miracle and testifies to the very beginnings of the apostolic efforts in Mexico by the Franciscans. This masterpiece is currently on loan to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for one year and has been on display since February 26th, 2018.

Russia and the Faith.
angeluspress.org/products/angelus-magazin… – Most Catholics know about Our Lady of Fatima’s request that Russia be consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart and about Her promise that Russia will be converted.
Nevertheless, very few Catholics know anything about this country that is supposed to play such a prominent role in future events. And this issue of The Angelus aims at filling that void.
The various articles talk about Russia’s religious history, treat of her prominent literary figures, and give an idea of the current religious and political climate. Also, the issue includes an overview of the Society of St. Pius X’s work in Russia – in the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg. As Catholics we need to stay connected to our Faith, and a great way to do that is The Angelus.

fsspx.news/en – On Saturday, March 17th, 2018, His Excellency Alfonso de Galarreta conferred the first of the Major Orders, the Subdiaconate, on 5 seminarians. The ceremony took place in the new North American seminary of the Society of St. Pius X located in Dillwyn Virginia.
This particular ordination to the subdiaconate is one that stands in stark contradiction to the standards of the world - as it is the first of the major orders as well as the last moment a man might even consider living as a layman. During this ceremony, at which FSSPX.NEWS was privileged enough to attend, five men lay prostrate on the floor in silence as the community prayed the litany of the saints imploring protection, guidance, and strength for each of these young men to make the choice they were called to make.
Once the litany had been sung, the Bishop exhorted each candidate to consider the gravity of their next step - reminding them that once it was taken they …More

fsspx.news/en – This week we look at a Ukrainian Patriarch who appeared on television to champion Catholic Social Teaching, the current deplorable attacks on Christians in Syrian by Islamists, and the new growth of an ancient Syro-Malabar liturgy.
The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and its Patriarch Sviatoslav, recently went on Ukrainian television to promote Catholic social teaching. Relying on Pope Leo XIII’s landmark encyclical Rerum Novarum, Patriarch Sviatoslav stated that there is an obligation for employers to pay workers just wages and that not paying a just wage is a sin that cries out to Heaven, like the murder of innocents.
A Franciscan priest has recently reported that Islamists in Syria are continuing to target Christians, particularly in the city of Damascus. While these Islamists are often presented by Western media sources as rebels fighting against the Syrian regime of Bashar el-Assad, this priest reports that the Islamists …More
