140. Peace promised by Jesus
This sentence reminds us that God is here: “He will be gracious to you when you cry out, as soon as he hears he will answer you.” Isaiah, chapter 30, verse 19b God answers us as soon as we cry. This …More
“He will be gracious to you when you cry out, as soon as he hears he will answer you.” Isaiah, chapter 30, verse 19b
God answers us as soon as we cry. This is the sign that he is close. When we have enough, when we stop wanting to do everything alone, when pride accepts the transition to simplicity, peace and joy, when we are saturated with being exploited with injustices, it’s no longer necessary to cry out to the Lord.
We then cry for joy since we have turned away from our closures or the injustices we suffered. We turn to God. We shout for joy, because we understand the difference between the harm others are doing to us (or ourselves) and the pure, just, true, and righteous Love of God. We open ourselves again to grace, to the Love of God. Our heart becomes interested to being in his presence.
We read in the Gospel:
“Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing …More

Cardinal Ravasi: Christ Was a "Layman"
Jesus Christ - the great High Priest (Heb 4:14) and High Priest forever (Heb 6:20) - "was a layman," Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, 81, former president of the Pontifical Council for Culture, said on 24 …More
Ravasi made his embarrassing statement while discussing his distinction between "secular" and "secularist" and his rejection of a "theocratic state model".
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states in §436: "It was necessary for the Messiah to be anointed by the Spirit of the Lord at the same time as King and Priest, and also as Prophet".
In §1551 it explains that the ministerial priesthood "depends entirely on Christ and his unique priesthood" and that "the sacrament of Holy Orders imparts a 'holy power' which is none other than that of Christ".

Cardinal Müller: The State Is Not Above Nature
Ideological ideas that are "absolutely stupid" are overtaking the political system and leading to wars and oppression, Cardinal Gerhard Müller said in an interview at the "National Conservatism" …More
Political ideologues dream of paradise on earth, and these ideologies have led to hell on earth, including the subjugation and murder of people, the cardinal said.
He explained the truism that the state exists to serve the people, not the other way around: "We are not subservient to the state, we are not slaves to the state."
The modern, democratic state develops "from free citizens". He criticised "dictators of language" who want to control what people say and what they eat. "We are being treated like children," Cardinal Müller said, "We must reject this desire for omnipotence of the ideological totalitarian system."
He warned that the current parliaments [which, it turns out, do not run the countries] want to "change nature". His example were …More

His Criminal Friend Says Francis Advised Him to Hide Financial Transactions
Francis encouraged Mgr Óscar Zanchetta, the former Bishop of Orán, Argentina, now a convicted homosexual predator, to cover his financial tracks. Zanchetta was one of the first bishops Francis appointed …More
Zanchetta was one of the first bishops Francis appointed in Argentina. The allegations against him are contained in a document signed by senior clergy and officials of Zanchetta's former diocese, published by Damian Thompson (UnHerd.com, 27 April).
The document states that Zanchetta had a duty to disclose the origin of funds used to build the diocesan seminary and work on the cathedral. The money allegedly came from sold properties, but Mgr Zanchetta didn't provide any supporting documents of the transactions.
Instead, he claimed that "His Holiness" personally suggested to him not to make it appear anywhere so that the diocese would not be considered less needy.
Thomson received a 500-page dossier on Zanchetta. It included "stomach-churning details of allegations of sexual exploitation of seminarians" that were never reported.
After Zanchetta's …More
