Wed May 6, 2026 - 10:35 am EDT (LifeSiteNews) — Catholic AfD politician Nicole Höchst has said that her party is “grounded in the Christian faith and Christian values of Catholic social teaching.” In an exclusive interview with LifeSiteNews, Höchst discussed whether the Alternative for Germany (AfD) is a Christian party, her view of the Synodal Way of the German Catholic bishops, and her personal faith journey. Höchst is a member of the German Parliament, or Bundestag, and the AfD’s spokesperson for religious affairs. She is also a practicing Catholic. Regarding the AfD’s policy positions, Höchst said, “We are, after all, grounded in the Christian faith – specifically, in the Christian values of Catholic social teaching, as one might say – and this is clearly articulated, above all, in our party platform; consequently, we base many of our political positions on this Christian theological foundation. ” However, many AfD politicians are not practicing Christians, and one of the …
Cardinal Tucho Fernández repeated to VaticanNews.va on May 6 that the German “blessing guide” for homosexuals and other couples in mortal sin does not have Vatican approval. The pro-homosexual cardinal is a soft-porn author and Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. He stated that a letter he sent in November 2024 regarding an earlier draft of the German bishops’ blessing guidelines remains fully applicable to the final version approved in April 2025. The German bishops’ document in question is titled Blessing Gives Strength to Love. They falsely claimed Vatican support for their guidelines. The Vatican’s release of the November 2024 letter was “in agreement with Pope Leo XIV.” “That letter is the only and final response,” Tucho told Bishop Stephan Ackermann of Trier, chairman of the German bishops’ liturgy commission, during a meeting in the Vatican on November 12, 2025. Tucho explained that although the final German text differs somewhat from the original draft …More
[Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori – XVII-XVIII Century AD; born: Marianella, Kingdom of Naples/died: Pagani, Kingdom of Naples; (aged 90); Bishop; spiritual writer, composer, musician, artist, poet, lawyer, scholastic philosopher, and theologian; Founder; Doctor of the Church] VI. Spiritual Desolation. We ought to view in the light of God’s holy will, the loss of persons who are helpful to us in a spiritual or material way. Pious souls often fail in this respect by not being resigned to the dispositions of God’s holy will. Our sanctification comes fundamentally and essentially from God, not from spiritual directors. When God sends us a spiritual director, he wishes us to use him for our spiritual profit; but if he takes him away, he wants us to remain calm and unperturbed and to increase our confidence in his goodness by saying to him: “Lord, you have given me this help and now you don’t take it away. Blessed be your holy will! I beg you, teach me what I must do to serve you.” In this …More
"Prayer made amid sensible devotion is not much of an achievement: “There is a friend, a companion at the table, and he will not abide in the day of distress.” You would not consider the casual guest at your table a friend, but only him who assists you in your need without thought of benefit to himself. When God sends spiritual darkness and desolation, his true friends are known."
"It is well to remember, however, that aridity is not always a chastisement; at times it is a disposition of divine providence for our greater spiritual profit and to keep us humble. Lest St. Paul become vain on account of the spiritual gifts he had received, the Lord permitted him to be tempted to impurity: “And lest the greatness of the revelations should exalt me, there was given me a sting of my flesh, an angel of Satan to buffet me.”
Medforth AI The Islamisation of Vienna’s public school system is progressing rapidly. Latest numbers from the city’s education authority – published today by newspaper Die Presse – show that Muslims now make up 42 per cent of the 114,000 pupils in Vienna’s state schools. The main other groups are children without a religious affiliation (23 per cent), Catholics (17 per cent) and Orthodox Christians (14 per cent). In public, middle and polytechnical schools almost half the students (49 per cent) adhere to Islam. These are schools for children aged 10 to 15 who typically learn a trade after school. In public primary schools for kids aged six to 10, Muslims account for 39 per cent of all students. Integration expert Kenan Güngör said the proportion of Muslims in Austria had risen especially rapidly since 2015 when large-scale immigration from Arab countries and other Muslim countries to Austria started: “This is having an impact on schools – because the birth rate is higher among …
[Saint Catherine of Bologna – XV Century AD; Bologna/Bologna (aged 49); Virgin; Mystic; Spiritual Writer; Teacher; Artist] (28) After some more time had passed in such poverty, the enemy of all those who have set foot on earth appeared again. This time he came in the appearance of the Virgin Mary with her little Son in her arms. He addressed her and spoke thus, scolding her: “You have not wished to abandon your wicked self-love, and I will not give you the virtuous love that is my little Son’s.” And having said this, he disappeared like a person who was upset. And she, thinking that it was the Mother of Christ, pondered very bitterly, believing that she was estranged from her and her Son. (29) Now let the listener think into what mortal weakness and sadness of heart this led her, so much that she could scarcely hold herself upright, so much that many times she would have despaired if she had not known well that the worst sin that can be is that of despair, and also because the divine …More
"(30) And when the malign one saw that through all this he could not obtain her damnation, it seems that he received from God the freedom to redouble his rage against her. Knowing how and how much she loved the honor of this monastery from her heart and the common good of all the sisters, he sought to afflict her in another way. (3l) So, one night, when the other sisters slept, she heard him walking around the monastery like a madman yelling with frightful and terrible voice. And after this, when he didn’t receive from God freedom to destroy the monastery to the ground as happened to blessed Job, he did so much that, in a short while, the monastery was empty of both goods and sisters. But she stood firm and did not wish to go outside until it was promised to her by those who went out of there that she could return and begin again in better surroundings than before."
Remember the good old days when the Jesuits forbade their members from becoming bishops or accepting any other kind of powerful religious or secular office to keep their innate intelligence and talent from devolving into arrogance, and resulting in their judgment about whether they existed to serve God or to improve on Him being clouded? So much of the evil that has seized the church has been initiated by Jesuits who were set free to give their conceit and arrogance free rein.
Islamists attacked the parish of St. Louis de Montfort in Meza, Cabo Delgado, northern Mozambique, on April 30. According to Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), militants entered the parish in the afternoon and destroyed the church, parish offices, missionaries’ residence, and kindergarten. Buildings were set on fire and the historic church was reduced to rubble. The parish was founded in 1946 and was one of the main Catholic landmarks in the region. Bishop António Juliasse of Pemba said civilians were captured and forced to listen to speeches during the attack. The Cameroonian missionaries serving the parish were not present when the attackers arrived and were unharmed. There were no confirmed deaths during the April 30 attack. The insurgency in Cabo Delgado has continued since 2017 and has caused thousands of deaths and displaced more than one million people. Church officials say at least 118 churches and chapels have been destroyed during the conflict. Picture: ACN, #newsQveepjzxvl

[Saint Anselm of Canterbury/Anselm of Aosta; XI-XII Century AD; born: Aosta, Kingdom of Burgundy, Holy Roman Empire/died: Canterbury, England; (aged 72); Italian Benedictine Monk; Archbishop; Abbot; Philosopher; Theologian; Doctor of the Church] Chapter XVI ~ This is the unapproachable light wherein he dwells Truly, 0 Lord, this is the unapproachable light in which you dwell; for truly there is nothing else which can penetrate this light, that it may see you there. Truly, I see it not, because it is too bright for me. And yet, whatsoever I see, I see through it, as the weak eye sees what it sees through the light of the sun, which in the sun itself it cannot look upon. My understanding cannot reach that light, for it shines too bright. It does not comprehend it, nor does the eye of my soul endure to gaze upon it long. It is dazzled by the brightness, it is overcome by the greatness, it is overwhelmed by the infinity, it is dazed by the largeness, of the light. O supreme and unapproachable …More
"Chapter XVIII ~ God is life, wisdom, eternity, and every true good And lo, again confusion; lo, again grief and mourning meet him who seeks for joy and gladness. My soul now hoped for satisfaction; and lo, again it is overwhelmed with need. I desired now to feast, and lo, I hunger more. I tried to rise to the light of God, and I have fallen back into my darkness. Nay, not only have I fallen into it, but I feel that I am enveloped in it. I fell before my mother conceived me. Truly, in darkness I was conceived, and in the cover of darkness I was born. Truly, in him we all fell, in whom we all sinned. In him we all lost, who kept easily, and wickedly lost to himself and to us that which when we wish to seek it, we do not know; when we seek it, we do not find; when we find, it is not that which we seek. Do you help me for your goodness' sake! Lord, I sought your face; your face, Lord, will I seek; hide not your face far from me (Psalm 26:13). Free me from myself toward you. Cleanse, heal,…More
"Chapter XVII ~ In God is harmony, fragrance, sweetness, pleasantness to the touch, beauty, after his ineffable manner Still you are hidden, 0 Lord, from my soul in your light and your blessedness; and therefore my soul still walks in its darkness and wretchedness. For it looks, and does not see your beauty. It hearkens, and does not hear your harmony. It smells, and does not perceive your fragrance. It tastes, and does not recognize your sweetness. It touches, and does not feel your pleasantness. For you have these attributes in yourself, Lord God, after your ineffable manner, who have given them to objects created by you, after their sensible manner; but the sinful senses of my soul have grown rigid and dull, and have been obstructed by their long listlessness."
Today, Synod.va published the final report from Study Group 9 on theological criteria and synodal methodologies for discerning doctrinal, pastoral, and ethical questions. It is de facto on homosexuality. The report rejects the term “controversial” and says such matters should be treated as “emerging” issues (page 6). Repeatedly, it speaks of an alleged “paradigm shift” in how the Church interprets the teaching: “The commitment to practising the synodal nature of the Church implies the implementation of a ‘paradigm shift.’” (page 8) The final report even analogizes present ecclesial disputes to the Jerusalem Council’s overturning of circumcision requirements. It demands that synodal outcomes should not be predetermined by “pre-established formulas.” And: “The Church’s mission is not a matter of abstractly proclaiming and deductively applying principles...” (page 9) The final report invents “the stability of a healthy affective relationship” in homosexual contexts as a positive …More
05/06/2026 Entire blog as a free PDF eBook. The Elite’s technocratic program has been planned for a long time. It has been progressively implemented over many decades under the guise of ongoing technological changes which have been presented as designed to make life easier. But hidden in the rapid technological changes we have learned to accept was a deeper, more insidious and comprehensive program to kill or enslave us all. There is little time left to start defending yourself if you haven’t already. This text is taken from an article published on April 20, 2026, on globalresearch.ca: Resisting the New World Order: Your Technocratic Slave Camp. I am not in favor of labeling people as an “elite” simply because they have amassed a huge fortune through fraud and, having learned from experience, now constantly devise new scams because that is how they achieve the results they want. The article in question addressed many topics. Among other things, the author described the role of wars …
@Chung Clement Jaeho Ave brother! I share your frustration but we must always see God's will in these things and trust in His Divine Providence! I just posted an article on the Russia/Sino communist takeover of Africa and I can't believe the comments! Maybe you should check them out! God bless you!
@Jeffrey Ade"Dear Brother Jeffrey, I hope you’ve been doing well. As I mentioned before, I’ve been staying away from this place because I’m frankly disillusioned. There are just too many fools here who claim to be 'Traditional Catholics' yet offer blind support to Trump, J.D. Vance, and the current GOP. Still, I sincerely wish for your peace and well-being. Thank you so much for sharing such excellent material. It’s incredibly refreshing to see a clear critique—not just of the hypocrisy of 'Trad Inc.', but also of those so-called Traditional Catholics who blindly follow these politicians. I honestly don’t understand how anyone can call people like Trump, J.D. Vance, or Marco Rubio 'devout believers' or 'protectors of the Christian community.' As you may have heard, a French nun was recently assaulted in Jerusalem. Beyond that, while radical Zionists brutally oppress Christian communities in Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Armenia, has Trump, Vance, or Rubio ever raised a …More

Chapter XIX ~ Pains of Purgatory — St. Magdalene de Pazzi and Sister Benedicta — St. Gertrude — Blessed Margaret Mary and Mother de Montoux. We read in the Life of St. Magdalene de Pazzi that one of her sisters, named Maria-Benedicta, a Religious of eminent virtue, died in her arms. During her agony she saw a multitude of angels, which surrounded her with a joyful air, waiting until she should breathe forth her soul, that they might bear it to the Heavenly Jerusalem ; and at the moment she expired, the saint saw them receive the soul under the form of a dove, the head of which was of a golden hue, and disappear with her. Three hours later, watching and praying near the remains, Magdalene knew that the soul of the deceased was neither in Paradise nor Purgatory, but in a particular place where, without suffering any sensible pain, she was deprived of the sight of God. The following day, whilst Mass was being celebrated for the soul of Maria-Benedicta, at the Sanctus Magdalene was again …More
"A Religious died in the flower of her age in the embrace of the Lord. She had been remarkable for her tender devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. After her death St. Gertrude saw her, brilliant with a celestial light, kneeling before the Divine Master, whose glorified wounds appeared like lighted torches, from whence issued five flaming rays that pierced the five senses of the deceased. The countenance of the latter, however, was clouded by an expression of deep sadness. " Lord Jesus," cried the saint, " how comes it that whilst you thus illumine your servant, why does she not experience perfect joy?"
"Until now," replied the good Master, "this sister has been worthy to contemplate my glorified humanity only, and to enjoy the sight of my five wounds, in recompense for her tender devotion to the mystery of the Holy Eucharist ; but unless numerous suffrages are offered in her favour, she cannot yet be admitted to the beatific vision, on account of some slight defects in the observation of her holy rules."
Selected quotes from the book A Wider View of the Second Vatican Council by Archimandrite Boniface Luykx. Republished in English by Angelico Press, Brooklyn, NY, 2025. Archimandrite Boniface Luykx (1915–2004) was a Belgian Premonstratensian canon regular, professor, and liturgical scholar. In the 1940s and 1950s he was among the leading figures of the Catholic liturgical movement and taught for many years at the University of Notre Dame’s Summer School of Liturgy. From 1960 to 1971 he served as a missionary in Africa, where he founded the Monastère de l’Assomption and taught at Lovanium University in Kinshasa, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo). Beginning in 1959, he was a member of the Preparatory Commission for the Liturgy and later served as a liturgical consultant and expert (peritus) at the Second Vatican Council, as well as one of the authors of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy (Sacrosanctum Concilium). After the Council, he became a member of the Consilium …More
