Role of Italian Intelligence in Vatican Security

On 12 December 2025, Pope Leo XIV welcomed representatives of Italy’s “Information System for the Security of the Republic” (the country’s intelligence services) in the Vatican as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Italian intelligence network.
In his address, Leo XIV praised the work of Italy’s intelligence agents.
He mentioned that confidential information should never be misused — for example in ways that could intimidate, manipulate, blackmail, or discredit politicians, journalists, or civil society actors: “All this also applies to the ecclesial sphere.”
Leo XIV knows that the Church is in several countries “the victim of intelligence services” that act for nefarious purposes, oppressing its freedom.
Then, without elaborating on it further, Leo XIV expressed “gratitude for the efforts of the Italian intelligence services in ensuring the security of the Holy See and Vatican City State.”

Bergoglio Victims….
If people really believe in life after death and divine judgment, would they not be worried that the Pope does not seem to have repented of the sexual abuse he is alleged to have committed and covered up in his life? Hence, unlike many others, I am praying that the Pope dies repentant more than he merely lives a little longer.

Obviously an old post - it's too late to pray that Francis die "repentant." that ship has sailed. While true that ONLY God judges & knows, it doesn't look good from what information we have.

Our Lady of The Holy Chapel - December 13th, 2025 | No Greater Delight
No Greater Delight is a daily Marian podcast meant to start the day with a Marian touch. After examining the Marian feasts celebrated throughout the world on a given day, Fr. Nate offers a brief reflection to help make our love for Our Lady concrete in daily living. The title "No Greater Delight" is inspired by a homily of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, wherein he expresses his joy in preaching about the Virgin Mother, even though he acknowledges the challenge of adequately praising her. The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, also known locally as Saint Mary's Cathedral, is the principal church of the Archdiocese of San Francisco in San Francisco, California in the United States. It is the mother church of the Catholic faithful in the California counties of Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo and is the metropolitan cathedral for the Ecclesiastical province of San Francisco.
San Francisco has had three cathedrals. The third and present Saint Mary's Cathedral, completed in 1970, is located in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood. It replaced the second Saint Mary's Cathedral, built in 1891 and destroyed by fire in 1962. The first Saint Mary's Cathedral served the community from 1854 to 1891 and is known today as Old Saint Mary's Cathedral.

Canadian Bill Criminalizes Quoting Holy Scripture: In Canada, Bill C-9 would amend the Criminal Code by removing the religious exemption in Section 319(3)(b). The change could allow quoting Holy Scripture in good faith to be prosecuted as hate speech, with penalties of up to two years in prison. The proposal comes from the Liberal government. The Canadian Bishops' Conference has formally opposed the bill in a letter to Prime Minister Mark Carney, warning of legal uncertainty for clergy, educators, and believers and a restriction of religious freedom.

Canada Moves to Criminalize Bible Under 'Hate Speech' Laws - Slay News

A sweeping Liberal proposal that criminalizes portions of the Bible under Canada’s expanding “hate speech” regime is suddenly on the fast track after Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government secured support from the left-wing Bloc Québécois party.
Carney’s ruling Liberal Party won the backing of Bloc Québécois after agreeing to strip out the religious exemption that previously protected Scripture.
The National Post
reports that the separatist Bloc is now backing Bill C-9, the Combating Hate Act, following the Carney government’s decision to remove the carve-out for religious texts.
Carney, a World Economic Forum “agenda contributor,” has made the legislation a central part of his speech-policing agenda.
Bill C-9 has already been condemned by constitutional experts for empowering police and bureaucrats to punish individuals based on whether someone claims their “feelings” were violated in a “hateful” manner.
Now, the threat is far more direct.

"23. And after a few years I was again in Britain with my parents [kinsfolk], and they welcomed me as a son, and asked me, in faith, that after the great tribulations I had endured I should not go anywhere else away from them. And, of course, there, in a vision of the night, I saw a man whose name was Victoricus coming as if from Ireland with innumerable letters, and he gave me one of them, and I read the beginning of the letter: “The Voice of the Irish”; and as I was reading the beginning of the letter I seemed at that moment to hear the voice of those who were beside the forest of Foclut which is near the western sea, and they were crying as if with one voice: “We beg you, holy youth, that you shall come and shall walk again among us.” And I was stung intensely in my heart so that I could read no more, and thus I awoke. Thanks be to God, because after so many years the Lord bestowed on them according to their cry."

“20. The very same night while I was sleeping Satan attacked me violently, as I will remember as long as I shall be in this body; and there fell on top of me as it were, a huge rock, and not one of my members had any force. But from whence did it come to me, ignorant in the spirit, to call upon Helias? And meanwhile I saw the sun rising in the sky, and while I was crying out “Helias, Helias” with all my might, lo, the brilliance of that sun fell upon me and immediately shook me free of all the weight; and I believe that I was aided by Christ my Lord, and that his Spirit then was crying out for me, and I hope that it will be so in the day of my affliction, just as it says in the Gospel: “In that hour”, the Lord declares, “it is not you who speaks but the Spirit of your Father speaking in you.”

Pope Leo: "I prefer to pray in a Catholic church, in the presence of the Most Blessed Sacrament"
While meeting journalists in Castel Gandolfo, Pope Leo XIV was asked why he had not prayed— “at least not visibly”—during his visit to the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul on his First Apostolic Journey to Turkey and Lebanon. The Pope responded with a gentle smile: “Who said I didn’t pray? … And perhaps I’m praying even now.” He went on to explain, “I prefer to pray in a Catholic church, in the presence of the Most Blessed Sacrament,” calling the attention surrounding the incident “a bit… curious.”

Cardinal Müller's Hard Line Against FSSPX and German Synodal Path

“There have been endless dialogues with the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, but they simply circle around,” Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller told TheCatholicHerald.com on December 12.
“There is no way around recognising the Second Vatican Council as the twenty-first Ecumenical Council of the Catholic Church.”
He added: “The claim that the Lefebvrists are the last bastion of true Catholicity must finally come to an end.”
At the same time, Cardinal Müller acknowledged that the Fraternity has correctly identified “the wounds inflicted on the Body of Christ by self-appointed reformers in the style of Modernism.” But, he insisted, “there is never a justification for distancing oneself from the Catholic Church — even though the Church is a mixture of saints and sinners.”
For Cardinal Müller, the moment has come for “all Catholics to reunite in the truth of Christ, who in the person of St Peter and his successor, Pope Leo XIV, has established an enduring principle and foundation of …More

Poll: Most Catholic voters support Trump, deportations despite bishops’ concern

Washington, D.C. Newsroom, Dec 11, 2025 / 12:30 pm
A majority of Catholic voters in the United States have a favorable opinion of President Donald Trump and support the broad-scale deportation of immigrants who are in the country illegally, according to a poll published by EWTN News and RealClear Opinion Research on Dec. 11.
The poll surveyed 1,000 self-identified Catholics from Nov. 9 through Nov. 11, nearly 10 months after Trump assumed office. Trump
won the Catholic vote in the 2024 election last year, and one of his campaign promises was mass deportations — a policy strongly opposed by the country’s Catholic bishops.
With Trump administration deportation efforts underway, the poll revealed some tension between the public stance of the country’s Catholic bishops and the views held by the faithful. Among Catholics, support for large-scale deportations is even higher than their overall support for Trump.
About 54% of Catholic voters said they support “the detention and deportation …

Cardinal Pizzaballa on the Roman Rite: “What the Church Says, We Have to Apply”

“I am a consecrated person; I gave my life to God, so my life doesn’t belong to me,” Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, told NCRegister.com on December 12 about his offer to exchange himself for hostages in 2023.
His flock includes about 190,000 Christians in Israel, 45,000 in the West Bank, and 500 in Gaza.
Palestinian Christians in the West Bank, including Bethlehem, have been severely affected by the Gaza war, as tourism has nearly collapsed and work permits to Israel have been suspended. “This created a very problematic situation from the economic point of view,” the Cardinal said.
The conflict has also intensified tensions between Israelis and Palestinians in the West Bank, including settler attacks on Christian Palestinian communities. Cardinal Pizzaballa described the situation as “chaotic and very problematic,” adding: “What is scary for the people is that you don’t know how, when this will finish.”
Despite this, he sees the U.S.-brokered ceasefire …More

There are many things to like and admire about this man. But, as in the American War of Northern Aggression (aka "the Civil War"), the battle for the Faith that continues and remains will see brother pitted against brother, friend against friend, neighbor against neighbor. There is no turning back from the battle between the Faith of 20 centuries and the counterfeit conciliar "church" of the past 60 years.+ Pizzaballa must see that if he doesn't get God right (and the mitered devotees of the past 60 years have gotten Him very wrong), all of humanity suffers.

If the Church tells you to sin, you do not have to obey. Instead of acting like a mother, the V2 church is feeding her children poison. Throughout the years some additions were made to the TLM, but nothing that was as dastardly as the reform of the Mass under Pope Paul VI.

Canadian Media Celebrates After 47-Year-Old Disability Rights Advocate Euthanized by Government - Slay News

Canada’s state broadcaster is once again under fire for glorifying the nation’s spiraling euthanasia regime, this time celebrating after the government euthanized Alberta athlete and disability rights advocate Brian McPherson.
McPherson was killed by lethal injection at just 47 years old.
He was euthanized under Canada’s taxpayer-funded Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD), which is part of the nation’s socialized healthcare system.
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) framed his death in strikingly upbeat language,
writing that “McPherson died by Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD), after battling several health complications.”
Predictably, the broadcaster presented MAiD as compassionate healthcare rather than what it is: Canada’s government-endorsed expansion of “assisted suicide” into nearly every corner of public life.
CBC even chose to spotlight a quote from McPherson’s mother that reinforces the government’s narrative.
“Over the last five years, he was, his body was …
