Bishop Robert Barron, 66, of Winona-Rochester, USA, has rejected reports of unusual activity on his personal Facebook account. On 23 December, his media organisation 'Word on Fire' stated that the account had been 'hacked': "Word on Fire’s security team was alerted to irregular activity connected to one of Bishop Barron’s social media accounts. A preliminary review indicates that a bad actor gained unauthorized access and, last month, ‘liked’ a handful of scandalous pages." This statement followed the circulation of screenshots online showing Bishop Barron's profile had subscribed to accounts featuring semi-naked young men. This is not the first controversy. In 2022, there were discussions about a controversial blog post asking why Bishop Barron employed so many men at 'Word on Fire' who posted pictures of themselves online showing a lot of muscle but very little clothing. At the time, the prelate was often surrounded by tattooed bodybuilders and fitness models. He also paid them high …More
And this is how a Priests reputation is destroyed. Not that I ever listen to him. But he is still a Priest. I believe this sort of things should not get out for others to know or see until proven guilty. As far as him posing with half naked guys goes. Ever thing being he is not a Conservative Priest that he is into body building and it seems he has low esteem? That he admires other men who are built up? I don't agree with him but like "EVERYONE" else he is a human being who is weak and looks up to the wrong things? One day the scandals and sensationalism will cease. This is how Priests are attacked and hated. They immediately assume and condemn. Only GOD Judges.
Quaestio Whether sedevacantism is a heresy. --- Objectiones Objection 1. It seems that sedevacantism is not heresy. For heresy consists in the denial of a revealed dogma, whereas sedevacantists profess all dogmas of the Catholic faith and claim only that certain men were not true popes. Therefore, sedevacantism is not heresy. Objection 2. Further, the Church teaches that a heretic cannot be a member of the Church, much less its head. But sedevacantists hold that the claimants to the papacy were heretics. Therefore, they conclude logically that the Roman See is vacant, which does not appear heretical. Objection 3. Further, St. Robert Bellarmine teaches that a manifest heretic is ipso facto deposed from ecclesiastical office. Therefore, to assert a vacancy due to heresy seems to follow Catholic doctrine rather than contradict it. Objection 4. Further, extraordinary evils may occur in the Church, as during the Arian crisis, when many bishops fell into error. Therefore, it seems possible …More
[Collin de Plancy – XVIII-XIX Century AD; Demonologist – Converted to the Catholic Faith] “All the townspeople refrained from labour, and in their eagerness to learn the decision of the fathers, surrounded the church, invoking our blessed Lady to direct their proceedings and to vindicate her dignity. Could such an assemblage of worthy pastors of the Church, met in a city so devoted to Mary, fail to be unanimous in their decision ? Nestorius foresaw that they could not, he therefore refused to appear. St. Cyril presided over the council as representative of the Sovereign Pontiff, and delivered a discourse at one of the sessions, of which the following are some sentences : — " Hail, Mary ! treasure of the world ! " Hail, Mary, Mother of God. It is through you that the prophets raise their voices, and that the pastors of the Church celebrate the praises of the Almighty, singing with the angels that sublime canticle,—' Glory be to God on high, and on earth, peace to men of good will.' "…More
"Since this time, to the angelic salutation, " Hail, Mary ! full of grace, the Lord is with thee ; " and the words of St. Elizabeth, at the Visitation, "Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus," has ever been added the conclusion adopted by the Council of Ephesus : — "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death." Amen.”
Sedevacantism Isn’t Traditional. It’s a Heresy in Latin Clothing. Sedevacantism sells itself as heroic fidelity: we are the last Catholics standing while Rome has fallen. It sounds dramatic. It sounds pure. It sounds—if you squint—like Athanasius contra mundum. It’s none of those things. Strip away the rhetoric, and sedevacantism collapses into something the Church has seen before, condemned before, and buried before: private judgment dressed up as tradition. The Church Fathers would have recognized it instantly. Start with the basic Catholic claim: Christ founded a visible Church, with a visible hierarchy, governed by a visible head. That’s not Vatican I spin. That’s Irenaeus, Cyprian, Augustine—men who fought real heresies, not imagined apocalypses. St. Irenaeus didn’t say, “Check Rome’s doctrine against your personal theological spreadsheet.” He said you know the true Church by public succession from the Apostles, above all at Rome. Augustine didn’t say, “When things look bad …More
I don’t understand how a Catholic can hold ZERO doubt about the authenticity of the hierarchy. I don’t remember the last time I heard something Catholic from Rome. I’m not convinced by sedevacantism per se I.e. I don’t think it can be held onto as something dogmatic. But I certainly think Catholics can hold it as an opinion without being heretics. Any Sede would tell you the church needs the papacy and that they love and hold the office in the highest esteem. I don’t buy all of the neo con arguments that an extended vacancy would necessarily mean the failure of the Church against the gates of hell. It’s Christs church, he told us there would be false shepherds whom the sheep would ignore. He will pull us through. I hold no malice toward those who disagree with sedevacantists. I can see where they are coming from. I think we live in a time where the devil has succeeded in pitting authority and dogma against each other to cause fierce infighting among the most faithful Catholics.

Canada is falling hard! 100k+ abortions a year and that's not counting the unreported, 15k+ deaths by Euthanasia, the harvesting of organs from the industry of death, it is easier and quicker to end your life in Canada than to get a doctor's appointment or foot the bill for someone there. Sad! The devil must be very happy with Canada. PRAYER: “Almighty Father, in the precious Name of Your only beloved Son our Lord Jesus Christ, I present to You the barren Nation of Canada, Lord… Cowardice and wickedness is bad for an entire country, please make them better, I ask that fire rain down in their hearts so they could see Your Just Laws, to end their darkness with the Light of Your Wisdom, to embrace suffering only in repentance of their duplicitous nature, to end their wicked ways, as if it continues, an entire nation can fall to the abyss, PLEASE, oh Merciful Father, make them kneel before You and embrace Your sweet Love.” Amen.
@pedro Frias it seems @Maria delos Angeles is canadian, it seems she doesn’t like the reality of baal's puppet state. Truth of canada's betrayal is long and heavy. When i was a child, i used to think Canada was the "common sense" nation, but as we see today values are no longer cherish there, and it feels like christians look the other way.
Leo XIV urges all warring nations to observe 24hrs of peace on Christmas Day: I once again ask all people of good will to respect at least 1 day of peace on the feast of the Savior's birth... Perhaps they will listen to us, and there will be 24 hours - 1 full day of peace throughout the world
A new priestly formation plan in the Diocese of Charlotte will require seminarians to spend a year teaching in Catholic middle or high schools. Bishop Michael Martin says the goal is to expose seminarians to lay life and strengthen their ability to teach the faith. The proposal has drawn pushback from clergy, raising questions about whether opposition reflects concerns with the plan itself or with a rollout critics say lacked consultation—and whether growing “Martin fatigue” could hinder the bishop’s ability to lead major changes now.
The Diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina, announced a change to its priestly formation programme in an email sent to priests on 15 December, according to the substack.com-account The Pillar. Beginning in the next academic year, diocesan seminarians will complete a one-year pastoral assignment teaching at a local Catholic secondary school. The teaching year will take place after philosophy studies and before theological studies. Purpose of the Programme Seminarians will receive pay, be assigned a lay mentor, and live in local rectories while paying room and board at diocesan rates. The diocese said the programme is intended to provide sustained pastoral and teaching experience, as well as exposure to the demands of full-time work and daily life. Priests Tired of Bishop Martin The article relies largely on anonymous sources. Some priests have raised concerns about the programme’s impact on priestly formation, the lack of formal classroom training, the additional year added to formation,…More
The Superior General of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, Fr Davide Pagliarani, spoke on December 13 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, about the future of the Fraternity. Main quotes, video sequence below. - The question of future bishops' consecrations is the million-dollar question. - I am not here to give dates or names. - Does a state of necessity exist in the Church today, as it did in 1988 when Marcel Lefebvre consecrated four bishops? This state of necessity is more clearly recognisable today than in 1988. - After the pontificate of Pope Francis, we find ourselves in an emergency situation. Although the Pope has passed away, his decisions remain epoch-making, problematic and far-reaching. This pontificate exemplifies the state of necessity within the Church from start to finish. - In ordinary parishes, the means for the salvation of souls are often lacking. The preaching of the truth and the administration of the sacraments are no longer guaranteed. - The consecration of bishops …More
Free Energy Suppressed By The NW Throughout history, the suppression of revolutionary energy technologies points to a pattern of inventors meeting untimely or suspicious ends, apparently protecting entrenched interests in the fossil fuel narrative and traditional power systems. Nikola Tesla, who died in poverty amid claims of suppressed wireless energy transmission ideas; Tom Ogle, whose vapor fuel system promised extraordinary mileage before his 1981 death from an overdose ruled accidental or suicidal; and Stanley Meyer, developer of a controversial water fuel cell, who perished in 1998 from a cerebral aneurysm despite persistent poisoning rumors, they are just a few that raised eyebrows. Aaron Salter Jr., a retired police officer working as a security guard at a Tops grocery store in Buffalo, New York, was passionately developing a hydrogen electrolysis system to power vehicles with water as an alternative to gasoline; he was tragically killed in the 2022 racially motivated mass …More
Leo XIV today on Francis: "His prophetic voice, pastoral style and rich magisterium have marked the Church’s journey in recent years, encouraging us above all to place God’s mercy at the center, to give renewed impetus to evangelization, and to be a joyful Church, welcoming to all and attentive to the poorest"
In his Christmas address to the Roman Curia today, Pope Leo XIV praised his "beloved predecessor, Pope Francis": "His prophetic voice, his pastoral style and his rich magisterium have marked the Church's journey in recent years." Francis encouraged "us" [pluralis majestatis] "to place God’s mercy at the centre, give renewed emphasis to evangelisation and be a joyful church that welcomes all and is attentive to the poorest". Furthermore, Leo XIV warned that in the Church there are "forces of division may be at play": "We can fall into the temptation of swinging between two opposite extremes: uniformity that fails to value differences or, on the other hand, the exacerbation of different viewpoints instead of seeking communion." Leo XIV wants to "build the communion of Christ in a synodal Church". And: “When dealing with faith, liturgy, morality, or other matters, one risks falling victim to rigidity or ideology.” He does not see his role as a gardener "who tends to his own plot", but as …More
Whenever one is traditional or conservative, the main buzzword used against him is RIGID. So, I presume all the saints before V2 were rigid, but this trait got them canonized as saints, where they are adoring God in Heaven for all eternity.
