Faith Alone Does Not Save: Charity Does
Salvation requires both faith and works, not faith alone. While faith is essential, it must be accompanied by works of charity, reflecting love for God and one's neighbor. True charity, motivated by a genuine desire for the good of others, is the essence of our judgment and the path to heaven.

Profile
Daughter of Captain Joseph Catez and Marie Catez. Her father died when the girl was seven, leaving her mother to raise Elizabeth and her sister Marguerite. Noted as a lively, popular girl, extremely stubborn, given to fits of rage, with great reverence for God, and an early attraction to a life of prayer and reflection. Gifted pianist. She visited the sick and taught catechism to children.
Much against her mother‘s wishes, she entered the Discalced Carmelite monastery in Dijon, France on 2 August 1901. Though noted for great spiritual growth, she was also plagued with periods of powerful darkness, and her spiritual director expressed doubts over Elizabeth’s vocation. She completed her noviate, and took her final vows on 11 January 1903. She became a spiritual director for many, and left a legacy of letters and retreat guides. Her …More

On 31 October, Rev Michael Korell of the Archdiocese of Munich, Germany, held a "Halloween-service" in the funeral hall of the city cemetery in Freising. Dressed in a Dracula cape, he prayed beside a half-open coffin amid fog effects. Around 50 people attended. Following criticism that the service appeared 'occult', the city parish issued a brief apology, stating that the concept should have been explained more clearly and that the name 'Halloween service' may have been inappropriate.

You said it, "CRAP" but as far as I know, not this way, the way it's been done today is truly 'crap', before people never did that in the least, those days were days of reflection, and prayer, and offering sacrifices and mass for the faithful departed and the ones agonizing, you never saw anyone dressed up to go to the devi'ls party, I grew up as a child with that kind of formation, respect to the dead, the church's teachings and what to do and what not to do, today all is valid, all is permissible, you want to go to mass dress as a gigolo or as a prostitute you can no problem we are all children of God, you want to show how gay, transgender you are, etc, no problem you are loved a child of God, do not be judgemental. What? I did not grow up like that and children today are being taught that's ok, and it's normal, NO IT'S NOT, ENOUGH IF ENOUGH AS A CHILD THEY TAUGHT US ABOUT THE DANGERS OF LOSING OUR SALVATION, TODAY NO WORRIES GOD IS SO MERCIFUL YOU WILL MAKE IT TO A GOOD PURGATORY, …More

Indian police raid seminary: Police in Madhya Pradesh, India, raided St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary on Nov. 5 after a newspaper report accused the Catholic institution of allegedly converting poor tribal students to Christianity. Officers searched the seminary for nearly five hours and questioned all 23 students. The police left after administrators produced documents showing the students were already Catholic. Right-wing Hindu groups are increasingly targeting Christians under the state’s anti-conversion laws.

Indian police raid seminary 🇮🇳: Police and senior officials in India’s Madhya Pradesh state raided St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary (in the Gwalior diocese) on November 5, 2025, in relation to allegations of religious conversion of tribal boys. The seminary was searched for nearly five hours; all 23 seminarians were interrogated. The raid was triggered by a report in the Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar alleging that the seminary admitted tribal boys, provided education and then converted them to Catholicism to become priests. The seminary’s rector stated that the institution only admits Catholics and that they provided evidence (parental consent letters, baptismal certificates, parish recommendations, property papers) to the police.

Hey, Tucho!

Warning to the Vatican: "Let us remember that Jesus Christ is a very good Son. He does not permit that we offend His Most Holy Mother."

"Let us remember that Jesus Christ is a very good Son and that He does not permit that we offend His Most Holy Mother. We have recorded through many centuries of Church history the terrible chastisements which have befallen those who have attacked the honor of His Most Holy Mother, how Our Lord Jesus Christ has always defended the honor of His Mother.” - Sister Lucia of Fatima to Father Agustín Fuentes, Postulator of the Cause for Beatification of Francisco & Jacinta Marto, during her last public interview on 26 December 1957.

"26. Eloquence is a painting of thought; and thus those who, after having painted it, add something more, make a picture instead of a portrait.”

‘PENSÉES’ by Blaise Pascal; 1660; ‘SECTION I - THOUGHTS ON MIND AND ON STYLE’; Points 16-26; pages 4-5

[Blaise Pascal – XVII Century AD; Clermont-Ferrand, France/Paris, France; Mathematics/Physics/Theology]
“16. Eloquence is an art of saying things in such a way (1) that those to whom we speak may listen to them without pain and with pleasure; (2) that they feel themselves interested, so that self-love leads them more willingly to reflection upon it.
It consists, then, in a correspondence which we seek to establish between the head and the heart of those to whom we speak, on the one hand, and, on the other, between the thoughts and the expressions which we employ. This assumes that we have studied well the heart of man so as to know all its powers and, then, to find the just proportions of the discourse which we wish to adapt to them. We must put ourselves in the place of those who are to hear us, and make trial on our own heart of the turn which we give to our discourse in order to see whether one is made for the other, and whether we can assure ourselves that the hearer will be, as it …More

A New Mass in Paris: Starting on the first Sunday of Advent, November 30, Holy Mass will be celebrated every Sunday (except 28 December, 1 March, 26 April and during the month of August) in the beautiful Church of Our Lady of the Nativity of Val-de-Grâce in the heart of Paris. The 8.30pm start time is convenient for young people and those returning from the provinces. The church belongs to the Military Diocese, not the Archdiocese of Paris. The celebrant will be Canon Jérôme Maljean. Since the controversial document ‘Traditionis Custodes’, Archbishop Laurent Ulrich of Paris has banned eight regular Holy Masses around the city.
