- "Christian" and "ecclesiastical" cannot be played off against each other.

IF global warming is taking place and IF it is caused by rising CO2 levels, then as humanity only contributes 3% of total CO2 emissions, there is absolutely NOTHING that we can do to prevent it. The only thing that can be done is to adapt to changing conditions and help poorer countries to adapt. This will be much cheaper and more viable than trying to eradicate fossil fuels anyway.
