Fireball over Rome - It Was GREEN

A bolide lit up across the sky over central and northern Italy at around 19:55 on March 5.

It was filmed in Rome during a soccer match (video). A bolide is an exceptionally bright meteor (= a small rocky or [man made] metallic body in outer space). Its green colour was due to the chemical composition with a prevalence of magnesium. Green also appears in Rev 6,7-8:

“When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature call out, “Come!” 8 I looked and there was a pale green horse! Its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed with him; they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, famine, and pestilence, and by the wild animals of the earth.”

Do you think those were the musings of Francis as it zoomed over his head? Let's hope not! Better that GREAT terror should have struck his heart all of a sudden-like - and that grabbing his Rosary (& kissing a Crucifix owned by Pope St Pius X fervantly) he shot quivering under his bed to pray his dusty hand signed by Pius X …More

@Caroline03 I'm not qualified to speculate on Pope Francis' musings. Very likely, as with most people who were indoors at the time, he didn't even notice. These aren't as unusual as they might seem. It's the "light pollution" from big cities that masks many similar meteor trails. Now it takes a really big one to attract any notice. But once you go out into the country... far enough away so you can't …More

It's the "light pollution" from big cities that masks many similar meteor trails. Now it takes a really big one to attract any notice. But once you go out into the country... far enough away so you can't even see the glow of a city on the horizon in the dark, these "falling stars" become quite common. Especially once your eyes are fully dark adapted.
