Nachdem er vor kurzem den anglikanischen König Karl, 70 Mitarbeiter des Gesundheitswesens und 70 Gefangene begrüßt hat, fällt es schwer, dies nicht als eine Erklärung zu verstehen.
Ich denke, die Erklärung ist einfach: Bergoglio, in seiner Rolle als Staatschef, empfängt vornehmlich Staats- oder Regierungschefs, nicht deren Vize. Dazu kommt, dass Vance sich mit Äußerungen zu politischen Fragen (Unterstützung extremer Parteien statt Stellungnahme zugunsten christlicher Parteien) in den Augen des Papstes, in dessen Rolle als Religionsoberhaupt, wohl etwas diskreditiert und suspekt gemacht hat.
Es geht hier doch nur um Etikette und Diplomatie; J.D. Vance weiß doch genau was für ein Geisteskind Bergoglio ist.
Hoffen und beten wir, daß er mit dem Fegefeuer davonkommt. Wer "Ego sum via, veritas und vita", mutieren läßt zu "Alle Wege führen nach Rom", könnte da Schwierigkeiten bekommen. Am Stammtisch könnte das ja noch reichen, aber so?!
So heilig wie BXVI bin ich nicht, daß ich für Bergo hoffen und beten könnte. Ich sehe ihn mir eher interessiert an, also auch ohne Haß, so wie ein Zoologe Tiere beobachtet, und finde es nur erstaunlich, daß ihm so viele folgen.
