Heiligenkreuz: Heim steps down as Rome bars monks from electing new abbot

After two terms in office, Maximilian Heim will step down as abbot on 14 September. The Dicastery for Consecrated Life has blocked the elective chapter and ordered the appointment of an administrator for three years. In the background lies the growing influence of Abbot General Mauro Giuseppe Lepori and an Austrian Congregation unable to defend the autonomy of its own communities. Heiligenkreuz – The abbot of the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz in Lower Austria, Maximilian Heim, is to step down on 14 September. Heim, 65, has led the community since 2011 and will bring his second term as abbot to an end after a long period in which he held virtually every senior office of government within the monastery. The announcement came this morning, after weeks in which the monks had already come to regard his departure as a certainty. A few points that need clarifying Since the abbey was placed under external administration, pressure on Maximilian Heim has steadily intensified, not least because …

Priest Alters Words of Consecration, Nuns Appear as "Concelebrants".
Worse than Germany: A video published by InfoVaticana.com shows Trinitarian nuns at the Monastery of Suesa in Cantabria, Spain, standing around the altar like concelebrants, with their hands extended during the Eucharistic Prayer. The celebrating priest altered the words of consecration, using feminine forms. He said, “Tomad y comed todas de él” (“Take and eat, all of you” — using the feminine todas). Furthermore, he prayed “for all humanity” instead of “for many.” He also replaced “Do this in memory of me” with: “Do this to remember that I am among you as one who serves.”

The Memorare of Saint Bernard
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee. O Virgin of Virgins my mother! To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the word Incarnate! Despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. youtube.com/watch?v=gHCFqEZR-Jg

The last Judge of Israel, described in the Old Testament book of 1 Kings. The son of Elcana and Hannah, who vowed before his birth to give him to God. Delivered the Israelites from the rule of the Philistines (1 Kings 7). Believed by some to be the author of the books of Judges and Ruth, and the first 24 verses of 1 Kings. 20.

The foolishness of man ...

"The foolishness of man. For nothing is more foolish than to live in idleness in the present life, where a man ought to work for himself so that he may live in eternity. He found them idle in the market place. (Matt. 20:3) This market place is the present life. The market placee, or forum, is called the place in which lawsuits are conducted and in which buying and selling take place; and it signifies the present life, which is full of disputes, of buying and selling, and in which even the benefits of grace, progress, and heavenly glory are sold in exchange for good works. And those men were idle because they had already lost part of their life. And they are called idle not only those who do evil, but also those who do not do good. And just as the idle do not attain their end, neither do these. The end of man is eternal life. Therefore, he who works in the way he ought will obtain it, provided he is not idle."

They’re Putting Medicine in the Flour — And Calling It Public Health
In this video we examine the UK’s new mandatory folic acid fortification policy, set to take full effect in December 2026. Non-wholemeal wheat flour will be required to contain synthetic folic acid under the Bread and Flour (Amendment) Regulations 2024.
We look at:
What the official regulations actually say
The government’s stated benefit numbers versus the more detailed assessments
The difference between natural folate and synthetic folic acid
How folic acid is regulated when sold as a medicine versus when it is added to food The original Hungarian trial data that is frequently cited Questions around consent, transparency, and population-wide exposure
This is not medical advice. It is an examination of publicly available regulations, impact assessments, parliamentary records, and published scientific literature. Key sources referenced: Bread and Flour (Amendment) Regulations 2024 UK government impact assessments and …More

‘Lives of the Saints for every day in a year’ by J.G. Shea; 1887; Saints of August 15 – 16; Assumption; St. Hyacinth

August 15 ~ THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY.
ON this festival, the Church commemorates the happy departure from life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and her translation into the kingdom of her Son,
in which she received from Him a crown of immortal glory, and a throne above all the other Saints and heavenly spirits. After Christ, as the triumphant Conqueror of death and hell, ascended into heaven, His blessed Mother remained at Jerusalem, persevering in prayer with the disciples, till, with them, she had received the Holy Ghost. She lived to a very advanced age, but finally paid the common debt of nature, none among the children of Adam being exempt from that rigorous law. But the death of the Saints is rather to be called a sweet sleep than death ; much more that of the Queen of Saints, who had been exempt from all sin. It is a traditionary pious belief, that the body of the Blessed Virgin was raised by God soon after her death, and taken up to glory, by a singular privilege, …More

Born to a pious and educated upper class family. Though women of her day were forbidden a formal education, she learned to read and write, and much about her faith at home from her father. Being an upper class girl of the time, she grew up isolated and self-involved, but in her mid-teens she felt the hollowness of her life, and began to search for more meaning. She prayed for enlightment and received a mystical vision that led her to leave home and wander the roads, explaining the love of God to any who would listen.
At age 17 she attended a mission preached by Saint Gaspare de Bufalo, and saw the obvious changes to people who attended. She wanted to have the same effect, and with the aid of Venerable Giovanni Merlini she founded the Congregation of the Sisters Adorers of the Blood of Christ in Acuto, Italy on 4 March 1834, a woman‘s congregation for teachingMore

Vatican Noncommittal on Hamburg Sex-Education Scandal

The Vatican’s Dicastery for Education has responded to a Catholic mother involved in a parents’ campaign against a new sexual-education framework for Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Hamburg, reports LaNuovaBq.it on August 18. Hamburg is led by Archbishop Stefan Heße.
The response was sent to Varinia Arauco, a Peruvian-born mother involved with the ‘Parents’ Network for Child Protection and Prevention’. Arauco and other parents have appealed to Church authorities in Germany and Rome over the Archdiocese of Hamburg’s framework “Male, Female, Diverse: Framework for Sexual Education at Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Hamburg.”
The framework was published in 2025 and is intended to be implemented in the archdiocese’s 15 Catholic school locations from the 2026/27 school year. It explicitly supports the “acceptance of diversity with regard to sexual orientations and gender identity”
The parents also submitted a petition to Pope Leo XIV through the Apostolic Nuncio in Germany and …More

Instaurare Omnia in Christo

I wish I could give this post many loves and likes. I had two experiences with an old 1800's kjv book. And once when someone told me I should be a prot. I was not only disgusted but sickened by the words alone. The thought was rejected immediately!
Now I know what to do with an old kjv from the 1800's that my son gave me he found. If I remember I will give to my Priests. I keep forgetting I have it because I put them in plastic and placed it where I rarely ever look or go into. Plus two tiny gideons.
