Canonisation cause opens for two Belfast priests A new case for the cause of canonisation of two Irish priests – who were shot dead in Belfast by the British Army – has been opened by the Diocese of Down and Connor.
Canonisation cause opens for two Belfast priests A spokesman for the Diocese has told The Irish Catholic that the process for “the cause of the saints” has been started for Fr Hugh Mullan and Fr Noel Fitzpatrick. The two priests were shot dead in two separate incidents in the 1970s, while ministering the last rites to parishioners in Corpus Christi parish in Ballymurphy. “It is at the early stages,” he added, describing what he called “a long process”. The case was initiated by Bishop Alan McGuckian. The initial stage involves writing a dossier and then, in liaison with Rome, appointing someone to investigate and promote the cause. It also involves interviewing those who knew the priests and how they lived out the theological virtues such as faith, hope, and love. In 2022 another Irish priest, a Jesuit and army chaplain, Fr Willie Doyle, SJ was declared ‘a Servant of God’ – the first official stage in the path to sainthood. A prayer card in honour of Fr Mullan and Fr Fitzpatrick was …More
The evil spirit of Jezebel will do all she can to infiltrate My Church on earth The evil spirit of Jezebel will do all she can to infiltrate My Church on earth” Sunday, November 23rd, 2014 @ 18:20 My dearly beloved daughter, the evil spirit of Jezebel has planned a great assault against My Mission to salvage souls. This traitor and destroyer of God’s prophets, has established herself on earth as God’s teacher, and manifested amongst My people, to seduce them and lead them away from My Church, in what will be the greatest apostasy of all time. She will be responsible for My Church committing adultery with the princes of a secular world, that will bring about a union, which is abhorrent to God and an abomination in His Eyes. Present, both in the hearts of men and women alike, Jezebel is one of the most evil, intelligent and cunning demons in Satan’s hierarchy, and works in many ways to mislead My people. She works through a group, who claim to be of Me, but who are involved with a satanic …More

Different [contradicting] religions are needed to “broaden the horizon of truth, according to the model of the polyhedron,” Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, said during a September 11 address at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA). He urged believers to welcome “as a gift, the action of God in the other religions,” adding that in their “precepts and doctrines” is reflected “a ray of the truth that enlightens all men.” Such “reciprocal appreciation,” he said, “will enrich our own identity through the reception of the other.” Koovakad presented the different religions as jointly contributing to the construction of the “City of God.” Each person, he added, must ask how to collaborate in this “common project of humanity.” Koovakad dreams of “universal fraternity”.
“These are not times for entrenching ourselves in partial and fragmented visions of reality. We need one another in order to broaden the horizon of truth, according to the model of the polyhedron, which is capable of incorporating the totality of visions and perspectives in the search for the common good, without anyone being excluded or discarded.” - Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, delivered the address on September 11, 2026, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA) in Buenos Aires.

Italian priest Don Leonardo Pompei was declared excommunicated for schism on September 11 by the Diocese of Latina. The decision follows a penal process conducted under a mandate from the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. The key issue is reflected in Pompei’s own words. In a public broadcast on September 5, 2025, he summarized what he had told his bishop: “I have come to the decision not to continue exercising my ministry within the hierarchical communion of the Catholic Church.”
Yes and no, Father. In fact, I love very much "ordinary" Novus Ordo Masses, when celebrated by sincere Priests (often with very good homilies). BUT there are some things - often imposed by Bishops as a practical test -that are insurmountable. "If a layman comes to you saying that he is adverse to the arrival and the Naturalization as citizens of Muslim people, it's your duty to tell him: "You're wrong: Catholic Doctrine says the opposite" ". Impossible to say OK

Forgiveness Frees Your Soul From Resentment The second reading emphasizes that we are called to live for others, not ourselves, and that forgiveness is a crucial aspect of this. Forgiveness is challenging, but it is essential for our own spiritual well-being and for aligning ourselves with Christ’s teachings. Holding onto anger and resentment only hurts us, not the person who wronged us. Forgiveness is a crucial aspect of Christian teaching, requiring one person to forgive and two to reconcile. A process of forgiveness involves asking the Holy Spirit for guidance, acknowledging the hurt, separating the person from their actions, and renouncing negative beliefs and judgments. This process culminates in asking Jesus for forgiveness, blessing the offender, and seeking healing for oneself. Fr.
