June 30 First Martyrs Of The Church Of Rome.
The First Martyrs of the Church of Rome were Christians martyred in the city of Rome during Nero's persecution in 64. The event is recorded by both Tacitus and Pope Clement I, among others. They are celebrated in the Roman Catholic Church as an optional memorial on 30 June.
This feast first came into the General Roman Calendar in the 1969 calendar reforms. The intention of the feast is to give a general celebration of early Roman martyrs. Prior to the calendar reforms, there were dozens of relatively minor Roman martyrs celebrated or commemorated in the calendar. Several of these had scant historical evidence, but did benefit from immemorial tradition. This feast is a replacement for the many Roman martyr feasts, whose absence allowed for a less cluttered and more "dies natale" based sanctoral calendar of more major saints. It also permitted the greater celebration of ferias, partially enacting the Second Vatican Council's call for …More

Stand Firm When Darkness Seems Victorious
The apostles, like St. Peter and St. Paul, faced immense suffering and imprisonment for their faith, yet remained faithful and joyful. Their example teaches us to view our struggles as opportunities to grow in faith and charity, rather than as reasons to abandon God. By learning to handle our current challenges with grace, we prepare ourselves for greater trials and can ultimately say, “I have competed well, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Toronto's Cardinal Leo posts great message for Canada Day, but where is the action?

Canada Day is a statutory holiday to mark the anniversary of the Canadian Confederation which occurred on July 1, 1867. So on July 1 it's Canada's birthday. For the occasion, Toronto's Cardinal Frank Leo has released a good message. He rightly reflects on the meaning of being human, of freedom and truth. What kind of nation are we building? What are we celebrating? Here's what he says:
My Dear Brothers and Sisters,
May Jesus and Mary be in your hearts.
In the coming days we will celebrate Canada Day, a time when we rightly commemorate what Canada is: a land of peace, opportunity, and security. Gratitude matters, and it is important to recognize our blessings and give thanks. Yet this year, I would invite the faithful of the Archdiocese of Toronto to consider a deeper, more searching question undergirding our celebrations: “Who are we becoming?” not only as individuals, but as a nation.
Many of the tensions we experience today—our debates, divisions, polarization and uncertainties—…

"Leo XIV's Likely Next Female Prefect Is Manipulative Careerist": According to SilereNonPossum.com, Sr Alessandra Smerilli's rapid rise through the ranks of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development — from Under-Secretary in 2021 to Secretary in 2022 — was driven by strategic networking and cultivating influential allies rather than competence. Her close ties to Monsignor Roberto Campisi, 47, opened doors to powerful Vatican circles. She repeatedly met privately with Pope Leo XIV, portraying those around him as untrustworthy and positioning herself as loyal protector.

The broom cupboard of sinecures: the nun with an appetite for Czerny’s chair

Vatican City - The Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development is one of the clearest examples of the tendency that has shaped the Roman Curia in recent years: creating vast bureaucratic catch-alls, giving them an almost limitless remit and then calling “reform” what has, in reality, been an enormous administrative mess. Francis’s project was presented as that of a Pope capable of streamlining the machinery and bringing the Curia back to essentials. The result was the exact opposite: offices merged only on paper, new appointments, new chains of command and a proliferation of posts to be handed out and protected. In the Vatican, many are convinced that they can distribute positions, salaries, titles and power. Francis handed out a great many of them.
This became particularly clear when Praedicate Evangelium was promulgated. It was not simply a case of jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire, many commented within the Leonine walls: this had gone well beyond that. The …

Slaughter of a nation: EU plans to exclude Ukrainians of military age from EU asylum protection

The European Union famously accepted millions of refugees from other countries at war, the majority of which were military-aged males. Now, those protections will be ending for Ukrainian males who are fleeing conscription in Ukraine.
Magnus Brunner, EU commissioner for internal affairs and migration, announced that the European Commission proposes to extend temporary protection for Ukrainians until March 4, 2028, with the
exception of people fleeing military service in Ukraine.
“To ensure this, temporary protection is not to be granted as a rule to newly arriving persons, who are not authorized by the Ukrainian authorities to leave Ukraine in view of their military obligations,” said Brunner. “This is what Ukraine has asked us to do, and this is what we are doing.”
He added that the European Commission’s proposal “takes into account Ukraine’s changing defense and reconstruction needs.”
Already, hundreds of thousands of young Ukrainian males have died at the front or been seriously …

NATO has lost. They don't have many men left. They are training young children. Some very young to fight and they are teaching them nazism. They are teaching them fighting skills and weapon training. They already have women in the field. They also have disabled men in the field. Men as old as 70 years old in the field. In the mean time they were leaving mines for the children to step on. Blowing off their feet or part of their legs. They lost and can not win. All proven by experts. Admitted by our OWN US MILITARY! But NATO which the US is part of, insists on Ukrainians and mercenaries to die. I have posted some of those things I have mentioned as well as others. So none of it should be a surprise.

The Sacred Duty of Evangelization

In what he calls his last video from this small office, Fr. Mark Goring, CC reflects on his priestly calling and the duty to preach the Gospel. He shares the simple technical method he has used for years and marvels at how it became a powerful worldwide tool of evangelization. Quoting 1 Corinthians 9:16 “Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!” It is a moving farewell from this setting.

How does Russia celebrate Graduation for their students.

Never heard of this anywhere in America. Does anyone do this in any place you live in the US. I would like to know. Because I never heard of it nor seen it. Each video under a minute. If you have pictures of this sort of celebration your city has for Graduation students that would be great!

You don't have to look at all. Just first two. Both under a minute. I am very curious if any city you are living in does anything like this. Education is extremely important in Russia. Even the Orphanages have top education with children inventing all sorts of things.

‘Admirable Life Of Patriarch Saint Joseph’ by Venerable Mary of Agreda; Chapter VI; ‘MODE OF LIFE OF THE AUGUST MARY …’; part II; pages 108-111

[Venerable Mary of Agreda – XVII Century AD; born/died: Agreda, Spain; Mystic; Writer; ‘Blue Nun’]
St. Joseph never saw his holy spouse asleep. He did not know, from his own experience, whether she slept at all. Her place of rest was the little bed made by the saint. It had . two coverings, between which she was accustomed to place herself to take a brief and light repose.
The under garment of the august Mary was a tunic or chemise, but little softer than woolen stuff. She never left it off, except when it was worn, nor soiled it, and no one in the world saw it, not even St. Joseph. In all her works, and in whatever she did for St. Joseph, the greatest cleanliness was observed.
Before St. Joseph was informed of the mystery of the Incarnation, our blessed Lady, at certain times when he was not occupied, used to read to him from the Holy Scriptures, particularly from David and the Prophets. She explained them like an experienced instructress, and her holy spouse questioned her on many …More

"The faithful and happy St. Joseph was all enkindled by divine love in these gracious conversations, and, shedding tears of joy, he cried out: “Is it indeed possible that I shall see my God and Redeemer within you chaste arms ?— that I shall adore Him there ?—that I shall hear His sweet voice ?—that I shall touch Him ?— that my eyes shall see His divine face ?—that the sweat of my brow shall be employed in His service, and for His support ?—that we shall speak and converse with Him? Whence comes to me such bliss as none could ever have deserved? Why have I not rich treasures, that I might lay them at His feet ?”"
