Tyler Bishop Joseph Strickland said in an initial response after Francis took revenge on him, that "I stand by all the things that were listed as 'complaints' against me" (LifeSiteNews.com, November 11).
“I know I didn't implement Traditionis Custodes because I can’t starve out part of my flock.” And, “I’d do it the same way again. I feel very much at peace in the Lord and the Truth that He died for.”
Strickland has closed his old Twitter account "BishopOfTyler" and opened a new one: "Bishop Strickland".
In a statement, Houston Cardinal DiNardo referred to the Apostolic Visitation, which concluded – as it was mandated to do – that “the continuation in office of Bishop Strickland was not feasible.”
DiNardo mentioned that Strickland had been asked to resign on November 9 but had declined. So Francis removed him two days later.

How did he "remove" him, this part has not been reported.

@Opera 369 There are good Popes, great Popes and bad Popes, but they are still the Pope whether we like it or not. I hope that we are all praying for him! God can change the hardest heart.

@frawley No... he's an "anti-pope". When they finally investigate the 2013 Conclave, (if any sane Cardinal comes forth with courage) you will realize that , this particular man dressed in white, was never a 'pope' in the first place. You see: he is not a heretic because he is a pope, but he is a heretic because he is not pope! Soon enough you will all be re-writing your posts on Gloria......

@Opera 369 I think an anti-pope is an illegitimate person claiming to be Pope while we have an actual Pope. In this case we have the Cardinals electing a very poor candidate who has said and done heretical things. When you say that "when they investigate", I m not sure who "they"is. I do not know of a mechanism within the church to dipose a bad Pope. Our Lady of Fatima Pray for Us!

God offers all the Graces necessary for a hard heart to change but He does not force it.

...and yet, after all the evidence, people still call him "pope"..... !? I guess the 'brain' is still tightly shut in those that still refer to him as pope....

Hey Pope Francis where is your MERCY ?

Now we know the real meaning of pastoral accompaniment. If you disagree to shepherd the children of the world, not those of the light, we will get rid of you. A total scandal.

Wonder whether Cardinal McElroy has ever had to answer for the fact that he had written evidence that McCarrick did gravely evil things as early as 2016 and chose to do nothing with them. He has publicly admitted as much, and still they made him a Cardinal.
De Profundis
What governance issues? Was he bedding seminarians like McCarrick? Was he covering up child abuse? There should be clarity on this as it’s sure going to cause a lot of division.

Vigano's comment: "The removal of His Excellency Archbishop Joseph Strickland, especially after the failure to ambush him with the Apostolic Visitation, appears as a cowardly form of authoritarianism, which in no way fits with Bergoglio's rants about “welcoming” and “inclusiveness.” Seeing the sacrilegious and perverted Marco Rupnik incardinated in the Diocese of Capodistria, or Bishop Michael …More
Vigano's comment: "The removal of His Excellency Archbishop Joseph Strickland, especially after the failure to ambush him with the Apostolic Visitation, appears as a cowardly form of authoritarianism, which in no way fits with Bergoglio's rants about “welcoming” and “inclusiveness.” Seeing the sacrilegious and perverted Marco Rupnik incardinated in the Diocese of Capodistria, or Bishop Michael Olson still in office despite the petition of the faithful of Fort Worth following his abuses and scandalous behavior with the Carmelite Sisters of Arlington, while one of the few faithful Bishops is persecuted and kicked out for no reason shows us in all its arrogance the tyranny of the Argentine Jesuit. A tyranny that is even more scandalous to the faithful due to the fact that the majority of the Pastors are silent out of cowardice or complicity. This affair will reveal who stands with the true Church of Christ and who chooses to stand with His declared enemies. To remain silent and endure this umpteenth violation of the most basic principles of justice and truth is to make oneself complicit with a subverter."

NY Times: “Bishop Strickland, now a martyr to frustrated traditionalists, has an unusually powerful platform from which to voice that viewpoint. He has a weekly radio show that is popular among conservatives, and he has more than 145,000 followers on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. That is more even than the number of Catholics in a diocese that will now be lead by a bishop more in line …More

@Sally Dorman -Thank you for the truthful quote from the NYT. Francis' action today against Bishop Strickland is going to blow up in his face big time!! It could very well be the trigger that lights an enormous tidal wave of opposition to him and his papacy and agenda.
This will do tremendous harm to Francis and to all who side with him, which is a good thing.

According to the source in the diocese, the bishop’s social-media use was addressed as well as questions related to diocesan management.
Bishop Strickland, 64, has faced both praise and criticism for his social media use, which supporters laud for clarity on Church teaching but critics argue is irresponsible, with some taking aim at a May 12 tweet in which he suggested that Pope Francis was “undermining the Deposit of Faith.”

Not feasible, because good Bishop Strickland stood up for and taught the true Catholic Faith and its traditions. He did not bend to an apostate, heretic anti-Christ Pope Francis who teaches heresy and apostacy and blasphemy every day by word and deed. He did not bend to the false agenda of Pope Francis and his homosexual court in the Vatican, as you do "your eminience". You disgraced yourself by your note, but Bishop Strickland stands proud for the Catholic Faith.
He is a hero for the Church
You are a brain-dead servant of the anti-Christ Bergoglio.

Vatican II is a false religion masquerading as Roman Catholic. The usurpers have stolen the identity of the Faith and are occupying the Churches to destroy the Faith from within. The Roman Catholic Faith is the work of The Holy Trinity for the Redemption of mankind. All other religions come from the father of lies and belong to his kingdom.
Ralph Alexander Michael Curtis
The world is increasingly becoming like Sodom and Gomorrah. Stay or get back to pre Vatican II to avoid being burnt in hell.

Ladies and gentlemen, recent events have added to the ever-growing pile of evidence showing the impossibility of being a Catholic in the Vatican II Church. It is not possible to recognize and submit to a Modernist hierarchy as if they were lawful Catholic authorities while at the same time retaining traditional Roman Catholic beliefs and practices.
