Francis and his hardliners are preparing two more liturgical documents, reports La-Croix.com (January 17).
In March, one decree will be fired at those Old Rite Institutes which have sold themselves to the Vatican. Another will replace the document Liturgiam authenticam (2001) which controls the quality of Novus Ordo liturgical translations.
La-Croix.com further knows that Francis' suppression of the Ecclesia Dei Commission which was responsible for the Roman Rite, was an act of vengeance because Ecclesia Dei had authorised the Holy Week celebration according to the 1954 Roman Missal which Pius XII in 1955 replaced with an ill-fated recast.
According to La-Croix.com, Francis anticipated the publication of Traditionis custodes - due in mid-September - to mid-summer because this merciless crackdown was important to Francis who "accelerated everything in July after his operation, because he saw the possible end of his pontificate. I think he was afraid to die” - a source told La-Croix.com. …More

According to La Croix International:
"...Francis had already begun considering restrictions for the pre-Vatican II liturgy in early 2019. That was after he discovered that the 'Ecclesia Dei' Commission, a Vatican office that was then in charge of relations between the Vatican and the traditionalist world, had authorized some institutes to celebrate Holy Week according to various editions of the …More

That was after he discovered that the 'Ecclesia Dei' Commission, a Vatican office that was then in charge of relations between the Vatican and the traditionalist world, had authorized some institutes to celebrate Holy Week according to various editions of the Roman Missal that were much, much older than the permitted 1962 text. Several sources said this discovery is what led Francis to suppress the commission."

This is nonsense. No measures have been taken ad experimentum uses of the pre '55 by the FSSP or ICKSP. Francis was in the seminary in the mid 50s, but I doubt that ever entered his head.

two documents are being prepared in the Vatican: a new instruction on the post-Vatican II liturgy to replace "Liturgiam Authenticam", and a decree on the Ecclesia Dei institutes ... expected in March.

I chuckle at the last lines.

Remember Monsieur Charlier? His equally gloomy predictions from late last year didn't happen.

I and so many faithful CAtholics wish it would be the end of his pontificate. As for "gloomy" predictions that didn't happen, it probably will. I don't want to be like some people I know, who don't go to church at all because they hate …More

I and so many faithful CAtholics wish it would be the end of his pontificate. As for "gloomy" predictions that didn't happen, it probably will. I don't want to be like some people I know, who don't go to church at all because they hate the "Novus Ordo", but if Francis takes away the traditional Orders and the TLM, I might go Greek Orthodox way. I'm not going to sit thru "Novus Ordo". I saw too much abuses still happening, in both Japan and here. Who in their right sense wants to sit thru so called "liturgical dance"?

The only principle now is MERCIFVLLY CRVSH ALL TRADS, and if they need to tenderly salt the entire earth to do that, then so be it.

Bergoglio deserves the Ceausescu treatment. Maybe that will force him to repent of his crimes against the Church and countless souls.

If I remember right from history, and watching documentary on Romania on TV, Ceausescu and his wife Elaina were set to flee after uprisings in Bucharest, their helocopter landed somewhere and they were captured and executed. I read here on this site, and others, that Francis is supposedly dying. Maybe is true, but so far it looks like just gossip to me.

Francis is what? 85? That puts him 12 years past the current life expectancy of Argentinian men (73). He is 4 years past it for Italian men (81). He is obese and has had major surgery on his colon. I can see why he is working fast to try to cement his legacy.

I wish he would pass on. No suffering or anything, just for him to go off to his "reward". Maybe for him a big surprise.
