Twitter’s ACatholicLife (July 16) has received two reports that the Roman Rite Institute of Christ the King is being expelled from the Chicago Archdiocese by Cardinal Cupich who is a rigid fighter against the Catholic Faith and Catholic Mass.
The shrine, a historic Catholic church built by the Carmelites, is in Woodlawn/Chicago where 98% of the population are black. It declined once the Carmelites started with social activism. The parish was closed in 2002. Two years later, Christ the King revived it with the Roman Rite. It is now the National Headquarters of the Institute’s American Province.
The church has been the site of protests against Cupich's measures against the Mass.

Sad, that the cardinal hates the TLM. I would continue to celebrate this timeless Mass. I'm sure the devil is happy!
What does the colour of the congregation have to do with anything? Answer: NOTHING. So stop dragging the 'racism' card into this. ('If it's almost all black and you want to shut it down, you must be a racist'. NO. They want to shut it down, irrespective of who uses the church).

TC not only forbid the creation of new personal parishes for the Old Rite, but it said that the current ones would be evaluated as to whether they should continue on. The FSSP may have the right to retain the traditional rites, but they can be kicked out of any diocese they are in, at a moment’s notice.

I would have only one question. Does the Institute own the property where it celebrates Mass ( keeps the faith) ? If not there is little hope of them continuing their work, unless they dig in their heels and resist, renting an appropriate property. This is an old story among Traditionalists. Good Luck and God bless.
This cardinal is going the Judas way. We need pray for such high priests. Because apostles wanted to change Judas in human way by grouses, reproaches, arguments, even fights, struggles, Judas that had enough of tough life with them, in Jerusalem finally desired to made his life business, to sell Jesus to high priests, pharisees, in hope for a very good position, when High Council made a deal with Jesus, agreed on joint actions to free Israel from Romans. How many priests had and have dreams, desires about very good position in the Jesus Church ?
