1) If Church authorities proclaim doctrines that are sinful and CLEARLY contrary to the will of the Holy Spirit as expressed in the Holy Scriptures, they do not speak in the name of God. There is no iniquity in God, and God is not the author of iniquity. All iniquity will be uprooted. a) Ecclesiasticus (Sirach) 15:20: “He never commanded anyone to be ungodly, nor did He give anyone permission to sin.” b) Matthew 15:13; Jesus answered, “Every plant which My heavenly Father didn’t plant will be uprooted". c) It is public knowledge that, on many occasions, church authorities by demanding obedience and loyalty from those under their care made them victims of the sin of the flesh. 2) Divine law takes precedence over human law whenever the two come into direct conflict. a) Exodus 1:15-17; The Pharaoh of Egypt gave orders to the Hebrew midwives one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other Puah saying to them, “When you assist the Hebrew women in childbirth, look closely at the two stones: if …More
The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X is formally challenging the Vatican decree issued on 2 July by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith that excommunicated its six bishops. On 11 July, it filed the required preliminary appeal under canon law. According to the Society, this filing temporarily suspends the enforcement of the decree while the appeal process is underway. Communiqué of 13 July The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X announces that, in response to the decree issued on 2 July 2026 by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, it submitted on 11 July a preliminary recourse to the same Dicastery, in accordance with canons 1734 and following of the Code of Canon Law. This request, which constitutes the mandatory preliminary step before the possible introduction of a hierarchical recourse, has the effect of suspending the execution of the decree, in accordance with canon 1353 of the Code of Canon Law. By this recourse, the Society intends to exercise the right which …More
The outcome of the purported excommunication of the six bishops today will be far different from the outcome of the 1988 excommunications. In 1988, there was no visible reason for Catholics to doubt Pope John Paul II’s sincerity as a faithful Catholic. In the minds of most of the laity at the time, he at least appeared to be faithfully following the authentic teachings of the Church, at the same time. The SSPX was completely unknown to the world and was easily labeled as a breakaway religion. Yet, they survived and grew unimaginably. That is not the case today, as many Novus Ordo Catholics, whether they follow them or not, recognize that the SSPX strictly adheres to the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church, and that it is the leaders in Rome who are following the teachings of Vatican II. I would be greatly surprised not to learn that Rome is looking (praying?) for a lifeline at this time.
The Holy Emperor... July 13 - Memorial of Saint Henry Dear brothers and sisters, Henry II is the patron saint of kings. Son of the Duke of Bavaria, he was born in 973 near Bamberg and grew up in a deeply Christian environment. In fact, he was educated first by the canons of Hildesheim and then by the Bishop of Regensburg, St. Wolfgang. The deep faith lived in his family can also be seen in the choices made by his brother Bruno, who renounced court life to become Bishop of Augsburg; his older sister Gisela, who married a future saint, King Stephen of Hungary; and his younger sister Bridget, who became a nun. Henry II succeeded his father as Duke of Bavaria in 995, and then his cousin Otto III as King of Germany in 1002. In 1004, he also became King of Italy. He was finally crowned emperor in Rome in 1014 by Pope Benedict VII, to lead the Holy Roman Empire. Henry committed himself to strengthening the Empire internally and defending it from external threats. He made mistakes, one of which …More
Catholics should be able to articulate when liberation theology, an error according to Catholic teaching, crosses over to sovereignty and the right to self defense. And vice versa.

Written by Cassandra Hackstock On a sunny Santa Clara mountainside, I stood in shocked silence. It was lunchtime at the retreat center, and the buffet was ready. Prayers were said, and everyone stood. An unassuming woman in a loose-fitting dress leaned over to me and to the other women, and said, “Stand by your chairs until the men have gone through the buffet line, and then we will eat.” My jaw dropped — I couldn’t help it. Most of the women accepted this business of the men eating first without any visible opinions, but there was sometimes another person present in Society gatherings who was more aligned with what I call “normal,” and as I looked at the other women, I found one. Her mouth was open, too, and we just looked at each other in disbelief. During the retreat, this center would play audio commentary of the bombing of Dresden during World War II, with graphic descriptions of people being burned alive, at every meal, to show us how horrible hell would be. Definitely would be …More

The Mastermind Behind the Synod’s Two Testimonies on Homosexuality Se sabe quién escribió el testimonio portugués During the time of the World Youth Day held in Portugal (August 2023), Father James Martin, SJ — a leading figure in the Catholic gay lobby — traveled to Lisbon to give talks before secondary-school and university students at the order’s educational institutions (“Poor kids and poor parents!”). Under those circumstances, he also made time to travel to the shrine of Fátima, in the company of João and Lourenço, as he himself recounts in an article for Outreach. They had been introduced to him because João, who carried out a ministry in the basilica providing sign-language interpretation for deaf pilgrims, was an expert connoisseur of the Sanctuary. But there was another matter that would put them in tune with one another: João and Lourenço — the latter “a leader in a Christian Life Community in Lisbon” — were going to contract a civil marriage one month later and, having read …More
