On 2 July, the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, led by Cardinal Víctor Fernández, issued a decree and an accompanying explanatory note on the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX). InfoVaticana.com notes the two documents carry very different legal weight. The decree declares that the six bishops directly involved in the 1 July illicit episcopal consecrations have incurred latae sententiae excommunication. Canon law permits only a declaratory decree or judicial sentence to declare such penalties, limiting the decree's legal effect to those six bishops. The explanatory note goes further, stating that FSSPX priests are in schism, and that lay faithful who formally adhere to the schism incur excommunication, and However, the note has no penal force because it is neither a law, a penal precept, nor a declaratory decree or judicial sentence, but simply a doctrinal explanation. Furthermore, latae sententiae excommunication requires an individual assessment of culpability and …More
Who are the SSPX? They are like the man to whom Jesus gave sight, who for his unbending loyalty to Jesus was cast out of the synagogue. Imagine what that meant to everyone watching — yet the man loved Christ all the more and worshipped Him (Jn 9:22,34-38). Leo leading the Vatican has taken the role of the Pharisees (Jn 9:16), who for their own Godless agenda seek to weaponise the law, who put canonical technicalities before grace, who know not that the end of the law is salvation, who by their blatant hypocrisy condemn themselves (Jn 9:40-41). How cruel are the men of the Vatican? They do not rejoice in Catholic life. They wield the law not for justice, not to serve God, but to try to put souls who will not acquiesce to their man-made agenda into perplexity about eternal life. The Pharisees did just the same. Their abuse of law is diabolical, against its very purpose. God bless those who are not intimidated by the Vatican-Pharisees. To anyone who sides with Leo in vocally castigating …More

The Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith published today the procedure for the “reconciliation” with the Vatican of former clergy of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX), together with a separate procedure for lay faithful. (Full Italian document below). The procedure, effective July 1, 2026, provides that a priest who has decided to leave the FSSPX must be willing to accept the Second Vatican Council and the “legitimacy of the Novus Ordo Missae,” while remaining attached to the usus antiquior (traditional Roman rite). The priest must: - Find an Ordinary (a diocesan bishop, a major superior of a clerical pontifical institute of consecrated life, a clerical pontifical society of apostolic life, etc.) who is willing to receive him ad experimentum. - Write, in his own hand, a letter to the Holy Father introducing himself and requesting the remission of the censures incurred either because he received priestly ordination from an excommunicated or otherwise canonically irregular …More
Many will say to me in that day: Lord, Lord, have not we prophesied in thy name, and cast out devils in thy name, and done many miracles in thy name? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:22-23) Any clergyman who would sign such a declaration never understood the Apostolic Faith which the SSPX was formed to preserve. They should indeed join the Synodal Church.
This is the side the trump administration supports. We are on the side of Ukraine. Then admitting they were playing with Putin when he also admitted, we are not intermediators! Their talks were as empty as their heads. Like the donkey with Balaam, GOD opened their mouth and made them reveal their true intentions and what they were really doing and how they thought. GOD sure is awesome! Waited a long time for them to reveal who and what they were. And now I thank GOD for what he made them reveal of themselves and their true intentions. Can't kill Putin. Tried many times with coups in Russia. Now they are all planning a big one. Forgetting this only brings people closer together.
The Dangerous Price Of Loving Sin The gospel reading highlights the tragic choice people make to reject Jesus, preferring their sins and the devil’s offerings. This rejection is evident in society’s acceptance of sin and the need for a genuine commitment to God’s will. True worship and sacrifice require a heart transformed by God’s love, rejecting sin and embracing holiness. Fr. Feeling the pain of the Orthodox. Who simply wanted administrative authority over consecrations as defined in the Council of Niceae. Before any of the breaches over theology, real or imagined.
A fierce storm interrupts the ceremony of the controversial episcopal ordinations of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (Lefebvrians), considered by the Vatican to be a schismatic act.
It rained but nothing got destroyed, like, for example the halo and the keys to Heaven by the St Peter statue in Argentina, right with Francis birthday and the newly proclamation by him on gay couples blessings.
A grandson is a sweet kind of voluntary servitude. Maybe that is how God designed it: just when the colors of the world begin to fade, a little miracle appears and lights a fire inside you again, like gasoline poured onto dying embers. A grandson makes us fully human. There is an old saying that only people raise their grandchildren in this way, unlike most creatures in nature. And there is something true in that. That long-forgotten, intoxicating baby smell works on you like magic. Suddenly, you understand your own grandparents—the ones who once embarrassed you, fussed over you, and seemed a little too obsessed. For our children, we were willing to do a lot. For our grandchildren, we are willing to do everything. Now we are exactly like our grandparents were. Maybe even worse. A grandson is medicine for every ache. Back pain? Neck pain? Bad knees? Please. Just wait until you have a grandchild. Somehow, everything starts working again. Not long ago, I could barely get up without complaining …More
The episcopal consecrations in Ecône, Switzerland, today should lead the Church to reconsider the restrictions on the Mass in the Roman rite, Cardinal Gerhard Müller told IlGiornale.it on July 1. The restrictions imposed by Traditionis Custodes (2021) have only strengthened the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) by giving them "a symbol of dissent against Rome". They have "almost served as propaganda" for them. According to Cardinal Müller, Traditionis Custodes "has not had a positive effect": "Using an authoritarian approach to demand blind obedience is not our way." He praised Benedict XVI's Summorum Pontificum (2007) for bringing "a great deal of peace" to the Church, adding: "One cannot prohibit the rite in its ancient form." The ancient Mass cannot be harmful when "the saints and the Fathers of the Church celebrated in this form." Cardinal Müller rejected the claim that those attached to the ancient rite reject the Second Vatican Council, arguing instead that the …More
Bishop Defends Football Screening in Church: Bishop Jean-Louis de Metz-Noblat of Verdun, France, defended in a July 1 video the decision to broadcast the France–Norway football match inside the church of Ligny-en-Barrois. "There were undoubtedly a few cheers, a song of celebration, and some applause, just as happens when a concert is held in a church or when an exhibition takes place in a church. Some people have said to me, 'But a church is a place for prayer.' I dare to hope that, because they were in the church, a number of people were able to pray for the success of their favorite team. I also dare to hope that, by entering a church, some of them discovered a place where perhaps they had never set foot before."
"Rien d'injurieux" : Après la diffusion de France-Norvège dans l’église de Ligny-en-Barrois, l'évéque de Verdun persiste et signe - Dans une vidéo de plus de trois minutes , Monseigneur de Metz-Noblat assume pleinement cette décision et entreprend d'en démontrer le bien-fondé, allant jusqu'à manier une certaine ironie à l'égard des fidèles scandalisés
I can only imagine the "best" view was provided by projecting these images onto the stage -- I mean: sanctuary. "when a concert is held in a church or when an exhibition takes place in a church." Your Excellency, I think that we have found the problem.

If you look closely at the tiles on the platforms, you'll see they are designed to look like a giant strip of film. Across all four platforms, black and white tiles mimic sprocket holes along the top and bottom, turning the entire curved wall into a massive film reel. It is a clever nod to the local area's long connection with the film industry and the world-class movie premieres held in the square above today. Want to spot this yourself?
