Stanislaus Chu Ilo, a Nigerian Catholic theologian, called for a “paradigm shift” in theology at the October 14 closing press conference of the Vatican meeting marking ten years of Amoris Laetitia. Given that God allowed Moses to allow polygamy, on what basis, exactly, does the Church refuse baptism to polygamously-married heathen? .
