In Paris, Traditional Liturgy Is Drawing a New Generation to the Church

At Saint-Roch — the ‘Church of the Artists’ that has become a hotspot for the traditional Latin Mass in recent years — 55 adults were baptized this Easter, the highest figure in the city.
As night fell on the steps of Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, a large, eclectic crowd gathered in quiet fervor around the newly blessed fire for the Easter vigil. The faithful of all ages — many of them young families — then processed into the Church of Saint-Roch, a baroque
landmark known as the “Church of the Artists,” whose high vaults were engulfed in darkness. A low chant rose as light returned, candle by candle, gradually revealing the faces of those who were about to become Catholic.
In total, 55 adults were baptized at the April 4 vigil, the largest number of adult baptisms of any parish in Paris this Easter. Most of those stepping forward were young adults with little or no religious formation. Instead, they had arrived at this pivotal moment after months or years of personal searching, often …

“I Am Hurt: Healing Within the Church”
Church is supposed to be a place of love.
A place of fellowship.
A place of spiritual family.
Yet sometimes the deepest wounds are not from the world—but from within the church.
Words spoken carelessly.
Leadership handled poorly.
Friendships broken.
Trust betrayed.
It hurts differently when it happens in the house of God.
“If it had been an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it…But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.”
— Psalm 55:12–13
David understood this pain.
Betrayal by someone close cuts deeper than opposition from afar.
But what do we do when we are hurt in church?
Illustration: The Hospital for the Sick
Imagine walking into a hospital expecting only healthy people.
It would make no sense.
A hospital exists because people are sick.
In the same way, the church is not a museum for perfect saints—it is a gathering of imperfect sinners saved by grace.
Sometimes the wounded get wounded again.
Sometimes …More

Trump Attacks Leo XIV: "Weak" and a "Disaster"

The latest outburst from Donald J. Trump is a direct and unusually aggressive attack on Pope Leo XIV.
Trump wrote on social media that Leo XIV is “weak on crime” and “a disaster in foreign policy”.
“He talks about ‘fear’ of the Trump Administration, but doesn’t mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church, and all other Christian Organizations, had during COVID when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everybody else, for holding Church Services, even when going outside, and being ten and even twenty feet apart.”
Trump does “not want a Pope who thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon.”
“I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s terrible that America attacked Venezuela, a Country that was sending massive amounts of Drugs into the United States and, even worse, emptying their prisons, including murderers and drug dealers into our Country.”
“And I don’t want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States because I’m doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LANDSLIDE …More

Here is the Full Truth Social Post: Pope Leo is WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy. He talks about "fear" of the Trump Administration, but doesn't mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church, and all other Christian Organizations, had during COVID when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everybody else, for holding Church Services, even when going outside, and being ten and even twenty feet apart. I like his brother Louis much better than I like him, because Louis is all MAGA. He gets it, and Leo doesn't! I don't want a Pope who thinks it's OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. I don't want a Pope who thinks it's terrible that America attacked Venezuela, a Country that was sending massive amounts of Drugs into the United States and, even worse, emptying their prisons, including murderers, drug dealers, and killers, into our Country. Tucker Carlson Goes It Alone on Putin

Tucker Carlson speaks at the 2020 Student Action Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida. | Gage Skidmore/Flickr
As Vladimir Putin commenced his slow-walking invasion of Ukraine under the guise of
recognizing the “independence“ of Donetsk and Luhansk, only one major media commentator provided intellectual cover for the Russian leader’s adventure: Fox News Channel’s preeminent star, Tucker Carlson.
In his Tuesday evening broadcast, Carlson didn’t strike a pro-Putin pose as much as an anti-anti-Putin one. Putin, Carlson explained, has never done him — and by extension — the viewer, any wrong. Putin’s never called Carlson racist. Threatened to have him sacked. Never manufactured a lockdown-inducing pandemic. Never taught his children critical race theory or made fentanyl or attacked Christianity. So why does the Washington, D.C. establishment hate him so much?
It was a weird tack for Carlson, who is much smarter than this, to take. Sure, Putin has avoided doing a lot of naughty and retrograde …

The two Catholic Dogmas that infuriate the world (including worldly prelates, who's offices I acknowledge and respect) more than any others:
1. Virtuous carnal relations are strictly limited to the marriage bed with the intent of procreation destined for Holy Baptism.
2. Voluntary renunciation of the carnal relations(even in marriage)
is the Christian Ideal. (Jesus, Mary, Joseph & Countless Saints).

What Is Your Priority?

What Is Your Priority? - Catholic Exchange

If you are old enough to have taken a Franklin Day Planner or a similar course to improve your time management skills, you are probably familiar with the idea of discerning what your truest priorities are. In fact, there are many spaces in popular culture today where we speak about our priorities and how we can efficiently achieve them.
The thing is, the word “priorities” didn’t exist before the 20th century. Priority did not have a plural form because, by definition, it referred to the one thing that came first and was, in at least some sense, most important.
John Mark Comer spoke about this in a recent podcast. Paige Espitia recently wrote about Unhurried Love, another theme Comer sheds light on.
The mutation of the word priority reveals the fractured focus that has been emerging in humanity since the industrial revolution. This fractured focus promotes the erroneous belief that we can do everything, be everything, achieve everything we want to, if we put our mind to it, get …

The U.S. Justice Department's recent release of millions of internal documents related to Epstein has revealed the late financier and sex offender's ties to many prominent people in politics, finance, academia and business - both before and after he pleaded guilty in 2008 to prostitution charges.

Press TV's investigation found the American attempt to be an extremely high-risk move that could have easily turned into a disaster for the United States and its military.
🔺The destroyers were only a few minutes away from complete destruction after Iranian cruise missiles locked onto the vessel and attack drones were deployed.

Patriarch of the Chaldeans Elected

Iraqi Emil Shimoun Nona, 58, current Archbishop of Australia and New Zealand, has been elected Patriarch of the Chaldean Catholic Church. He took the name Paul III.
Nona succeeds Louis Raphaël I Sako, who had led the Church since 2013.
The election was announced on Sunday following a synod of Chaldean bishops held in Rome.
Born in Iraq, Nona led the Archdiocese of Mosul from 2010 until 2015. He left Mosul in 2014 when Islamic State (ISIS) took over and Christians were expelled. He later served as archbishop based in Sydney.
The patriarchate is traditionally based in Baghdad, but much of its life today is centered in diaspora communities across Europe, North America, and Australia.
The Chaldeans are an Eastern Catholic Church in communion with the Vatican and the largest Christian group in Iraq.

Pope Leo XIV appoints anti-Catholic Francis’ ally for Argentine diocese

On 10 April, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Claudio Pablo Castricone as coadjutor bishop of the diocese of Orán in Argentina.
Born on 16 April 1958 in Villa Constitución, he was ordained a priest in 1984.
Monsignor Castricone has openly identified with Francis’s destructive programme for decades. The article's photograph shows him meeting Cardinal Bergoglio in Misiones, northern Argentina, in 2007.
Diocese of Orán: Ruined by Homosexual Leadership
The diocese of Orán is famous because it was led by the homosexual Gustavo Oscar Zanchetta, another close associate of Francis, from 2013 to 2017.
In 2017, Francis accepted Zanchetta’s resignation for 'health reasons' and soon after appointed him to a Vatican financial role. It later emerged that priests had reported Zanchetta to Rome for possessing pornographic images of young men on his phone. He was also notorious for financial misconduct and abuse of authority. In 2022, he was convicted by an Argentine court of homosexually abusing two …More

What is an Examination of Conscience?
An
Examination of Conscience, a cornerstone of Catholic life, is a reflective exercise in which you assess your thoughts, words, and deeds in light of the Church’s moral teachings to prepare yourself well for the sacrament of confession. This introspective examination serves as a means of spiritual growth, reconciliation, and renewal.
No matter a person’s age, an Examination of Conscience is relevant and beneficial in preparing for confession. For adults, it offers an opportunity to evaluate your commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ and his Church. This further fosters personal holiness in helping you gain a deeper love for the Lord, your loved ones, and your neighbor. Teens benefit by developing a conscience informed by timeless moral principles (Rom. 2:14–16), not the zeitgeist (spirit of the age), so that they can better navigate the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood. Even children can …
