It will always be facts, not gossip, that define our identity.
Sunday, December 14, Third Sunday of Advent
Dear brothers and sisters, Jesus, in the passage from the Gospel of Matthew that we're going to listen to on December 14, third Sunday of Advent, helps us understand that what defines us is never our words, but our actions. In fact, when questioned by John's disciples about his identity, Jesus invites his interlocutors to pay attention to his works. Indeed, following the example of Jesus, even for us, as children of God, it is not, first of all our words that count, but our actions; not our ideas, but reality; not what we think, but the truth; not our will, but the will of God!
Jesus' warning remains, therefore, the sole and definitive criterion of our belonging to God's family: "Who is my Mother, and who are my brothers? said Jesus and added: Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother, sister, and Mother..." (See: Mark 3:20-35)

Sarah Mullally, the first woman appointed "Archbishop of Canterbury" of the Church of England, has been accused of mishandling an abuse case. She is due to take office on January 28. The allegation centers on her decision to send a confidential email about abuse claims directly to the accused priest, bypassing formal disciplinary procedures. The case involves a victim known as “Survivor N,” who filed a formal complaint in 2020 and reportedly received no response. Mullally has since acknowledged that "Survivor N" was not given adequate support by the Church.

Poll: Most Catholic voters support Trump, deportations despite bishops’ concern

Washington, D.C. Newsroom, Dec 11, 2025 / 12:30 pm
A majority of Catholic voters in the United States have a favorable opinion of President Donald Trump and support the broad-scale deportation of immigrants who are in the country illegally, according to a poll published by EWTN News and RealClear Opinion Research on Dec. 11.
The poll surveyed 1,000 self-identified Catholics from Nov. 9 through Nov. 11, nearly 10 months after Trump assumed office. Trump
won the Catholic vote in the 2024 election last year, and one of his campaign promises was mass deportations — a policy strongly opposed by the country’s Catholic bishops.
With Trump administration deportation efforts underway, the poll revealed some tension between the public stance of the country’s Catholic bishops and the views held by the faithful. Among Catholics, support for large-scale deportations is even higher than their overall support for Trump.
About 54% of Catholic voters said they support “the detention and deportation …

Louis IX There are two kinds of Catholics. Those who are modernist and ignorant. And then the Catholics who think they know it all and quote only some parts of the Bible. But never ever mention....
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called children of God.
For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat;
I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink;

For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat:
I was thirsty, and you gave me not to drink.
Then they also shall answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to thee?
Then he shall answer them, saying: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it "not" to one of these least, neither did you do it to me.

Accustoming themselves to receive all things from the hands of God, says St. Dorotheus, the men of old maintained continual serenity of soul. St. Mary Magdalene of Pazzi derived such consolation at hearing the words “will of God,” that she usually fell into an ecstasy of love."

Boston-Area Pastor REFUSES to Remove Anti-ICE Nativity Scene at the Request of the Archbishop

The pastor of a Catholic parish near Boston says an anti-immigration-enforcement display in its Nativity scene will stay up at least for the time being, and he is asking for a meeting with the archbishop.
The announcement Monday night — more than three days after the Archdiocese of Boston said the display should be removed — leaves the parish and Archbishop Richard Henning of Boston at an impasse.
“We are waiting for an opportunity of dialogue and clarity with [Arch]bishop Henning before reaching any final decisions,” Father Stephen Josoma said, according to a
video of a press conference published by MassLive.com.
The display, put up Nov. 29 outside St. Susanna Church in Dedham, Massachusetts, includes a large sign saying “ICE Was Here” and another sign explaining that the absent figures of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph are safe inside the church building. The display also includes a telephone number to report the presence of U.S. Immigration and Customs agents to an organization that …

🚨 WHEN THE TRUTH IS TOO DANGEROUS FOR THE POWERFUL—THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS Ex-CIA contractor Patrick Byrne has just made extraordinary allegations—claims so explosive that most media outlets will never touch them. In a discussion with Alex Jones, Byrne stated that senior intelligence channels are warning that Candace Owens is being targeted for retaliation after exposing powerful networks operating behind the political façade of Europe. Byrne insists that there is more beneath the surface—global agendas, elite protection systems, and institutional panic when scrutiny comes too close. Whether every detail proves true or not, one point from Byrne stands unchallenged: When someone questions narratives that protect power structures, they are instantly attacked—not on facts, but with intimidation, legal warfare, and coordinated smear campaigns. And why is this happening now? Because Owens openly challenged …More

"Intermittent fasting" is just modern lingo for "not eating between meals. Our gluttonous culture demands food all the time. The topic of Marian devotion has returned to the forefront of the Church in recent months, driven by a series of clarifications. On November 4, the dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (formerly CDF) published the doctrinal note Mater Populi Fidelis (Mother of the Faithful People), clarifying certain titles attributed to the Virgin Mary — notably those of “Co-redemptrix” and “Mediatrix.”
This document clarifies the Church's position on the status and role of Mary, recalling that according to the Catholic faith, “only God can bestow grace.”
Rome warns against any consideration of the Virgin that “distracts us from Christ or that places her on the same …

Russian forces liberate key Donbass city – MOD (VIDEO)

Ukrainian troops have been completely pushed out of Seversk, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has reported
Russian forces have liberated the Donbass city of Seversk, the Defense Ministry in Moscow reported on Thursday. The former Ukrainian stronghold, located inside Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic, is now fully clear of enemy troops, the ministry said.
The fighting for Seversk has gone on since 2022 with varying degrees of intensity. Russian troops will now have an open path to the regional cities of Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, both major hubs for the Ukrainian military, according to Igor Kimakovsky, an adviser to the head of the DPR.
The announcement was made by the chief of Russia’s General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, during a high-level meeting with President Vladimir Putin on the status of Moscow’s military operation.
The Defense Ministry also released footage from the liberated city, showing Russian troops conducting door-to-door visits to apartment buildings and private homes offering …
