Andy Burnham has defended the Home Office guide that tells asylum seekers not to rape or harass people. Asked about the booklet, the prime minister said the government wanted to make UK law "explicitly clear".
Religious Sisters Suppressed After Vatican Intervention for “Being Too Traditional”: Conservative Bishop Earl K. Fernandes of Columbus has suppressed the Children of Mary, a traditional community of religious sisters (canonically, a public association of the faithful) based in Newark, Ohio. In his August 10 letter, Fernandes cites fairly general problems with formation and communal life, as well as concerns about the proper separation of the internal and external forum. He says that Rome’s Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life informed him that the community would never be approved as an institute of diocesan right. But there’s another side: Anthony Stine, citing an anonymous source close to the community, claims that the underlying issue was that the sisters’ formation and catechesis were regarded as too traditional.

With the stature of a major papal encyclical comprising 154 articles, the Society of Saint Pius X professes the Catholic faith for our times. It addresses the following topics: objective truth, modern biblical exegesis, the theory of evolution, the Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix of all graces, false religions, the significance of the Papacy, sexual morality, the Social Kingship of Christ, liturgy, the Last Things. This “Catholic Profession of Faith of the Society of Saint Pius X to Enlighten Souls in the Face of Modern Errors” is available online: Profession of Catholic Faith of the Society of … Prior to the episcopal consecrations at Écône, this profession of faith had been submitted to the Holy Father in Rome, Pope Leo XIV, so that he might thereby discern the orthodoxy of the FSSPX. Upon reading it, however, he could hardly have failed to notice that his own words, teachings, and actions frequently do not align with what this profession sets forth as Catholic. One would wish for this …More

Highlights - Republic of San Marino: Meeting with Clergy, 22 August 2026, Pope Leo XIV During his visit to San Marino on August 22, Pope Leo XIV highlighted the legacy of Saints Marinus and Leo, the founders of the Republic. As laymen and stonemasons—who were only later called to ordained ministry—“they knew how to translate the Gospel message into a new communal and political model strongly characterized by the Christian principles of freedom, mutual respect, and communion.” Pope to youth: Open your hearts to the infinite The Holy Father began his address to the ecclesial community of San Marino with an invitation to young people to open their hearts to the infinite, rather than being satisfied with “partial, immediate answers.” This, he said, can lead them to an encounter with God, who can help them leave their mark on history. Pope Leo went on to invite all those present to enthusiastically embrace the mission given them by God, and to have the courage to make demanding choices, such …More
Pope in San Marino: Respond to conflict by … Responding to conflict by following the Gospel with greater conviction Pope Leo insisted that Jesus is the definitive answer to the questions of the meaning of life, and that the Gospel is the “path of freedom” for all men and women. As such, it is a gift we can give to all those we meet. And it is why Christians practice charity in all its diverse forms, but always aimed at “the ultimate and integral good of the people to whom we offer our support.” In a world marked by conflict, he said, “our response can only be to walk with even greater conviction on the path of the Gospel”. Pope Leo XIV concluded his address by once again recalling the importance of communion in order to overcome individualism and “distrustful and divisive parochialism,” and “to breathe new life into our hopes for fraternity and peace.” This, he said, is a part both of the legacy of Saints Marinus and Leo, and of “our mission to continue with perseverance and dedication …More
From Remnant: "Unfortunately, this torture has continued with Leo XIV"
As Pentin wrote, Francis’s hostile occupation of the papacy was like torture for many serious Catholics. Unfortunately, this torture has continued with Leo XIV, even if the man in white looks somewhat more pious when operating the “waterboard.”
To paraphrase what a very holy priest said, We are living in a perpetual nightmare, and when we wake up, the nightmare is still with us and won't go away.
I feel compelled to share this image of the horrific treatment Palestinians receive at the hands of the Israelis. Their impunity is repugnant. This monstrosity must be stopped. Ben-Gvir is building gallows with viewing booths … We now know that the UN's sole function is to ensure that the State of Israel continues to murder and colonize the entire world with absolute impunity, and to promote wars for the benefit of large, stateless corporations.
Seeking the approval of those who, objectively speaking, are heresiarchs cannot be the supreme or even secondary goal. Riaan Van Zyl August 20, 2026 One of the strange phenomena among mainstream traditionalists is that, while they publicly pay lip service to recognizing Leo as the pope, they actually adhere to a carefully crafted “magisterium” consisting of the pronouncements of fellow prelates and influencers. Three clergy form the backbone of this pseudo-magisterium: Bishop Athanasius Schneider, Cardinal Raymond Burke, and Cardinal Robert Sarah. What usually happens is that when any of these men offer an opinion on a podcast or written interview, or issue a new pastoral letter, Trad Inc. acts like they have just received a brand new encyclical letter. This past week, said influencers were likely in a state of ecstasy, as not only did Cardinal Burke speak with Michael Knowles, but shortly thereafter Bishop Schneider issued a public statement. As is the case with Burke and Sarah, Bishop …More

Unlike false prophet Bergoglio, false prophet Prevost kneels in front of the altar. Slight (but important) changes in the style of seduction (he is much more sophisticated)
Andy @andreas_nigbur THE LIBRARIES THEY BURNED. You've been taught that the Library of Alexandria was the greatest loss of knowledge in human history. A library. A fire. A tragedy. You've never been told about the OTHER libraries. Between 1850 and 1910, over 600 major libraries, archives, and government buildings worldwide were destroyed by fire. Not by chance. Not by war. But by FIRE. The pattern is unmistakable: 1851 – Library of Congress, Washington, D.C. Burned down. 35,000 volumes destroyed. 1871– The Great Chicago Fire. All of the city's public records, land registry documents, and historical records – destroyed. 1871 – In the same week as Chicago: Peshtigo, Wisconsin. The most devastating fire in American history. All records destroyed. 1872– The Great Boston Fire. Financial district and archives – destroyed. 1873– Portland, Oregon. City center and all municipal records – destroyed. 1891 – University of Toronto Library. 33,000 volumes – destroyed. 1904 – The Great Baltimore Fire …More

Slovak pro-LGBT Catholic priest Adam Štefanec, 29, of the Diocese of Žilina said in an August 12 video that he does not like the word “God.” Rev. Štefanec believes that the term had accumulated so many associations that it no longer speaks to people today. “I try to find words that are universal,” he said, naming “humanity” as a universal value. Asked what Christ wants from people, Rev. Štefanec said the answer is “different for everyone,” different in every age, and “constantly changing.” Previously, Rev. Štefanec has supported homosex civil partnerships and said that homosexuality is not a sin.

"For me, the Church is synodal," said Bishop Heiner Wilmer, 65, in an interview with Kirche-Und-Leben.de on 21 August. He is the chairman of the German Bishops’ Conference. In March 2026, Pope Leo XIV promoted the pro-homosexual bishop to Münster, the largest diocese in Germany. Monsignor Wilmer said that synodality is "deeply rooted" in Münster diocese. He added that he was looking forward to "the common journey with many baptised people, but also internationally, ecumenically, and with our Jewish and Muslim brothers and sisters". Grateful for Lay Preaching When asked about lay preaching during Eucharists, Bishop Wilmer admitted that he there are "many" baptised women and men who had been engaging with this issue for years, and that a culture had developed around it. Wilmer has "great respect for this established tradition" and is "deeply grateful" for it.
