You'd think by the way he was talking that God never became man and revealed Himself to us. That he never instituted a Church to ensure the custody of His revelation and the ongoing sanctification of all future generations through her sacramental life. That He never throughout her history performed copious miracles as a signature of His divine affirmation of her. There are none so blind as them that WILL NOT to see.
