Yesterday evening, an Islamic 'catechism' session took place at the San Lorenzo parish in Brindisi, in southern Italy. In attendance were Imam Khaled Bouchelaghem, members of the local Islamic community, and Archbishop Giovanni Intini of Brindisi-Ostuni. The meeting was titled: "Do you know Islam?" Archbishop Intini delivered the closing remarks at the end of the evening. According to the archdiocesan website, teaching the Islamic religion should promote dialogue.
