Three Detained After Police Raid Masonic Lodge in Madagascar: Madagascar is investigating a possible link between a Masonic lodge and a wave of disappearances and killings that has alarmed the country. Police raided the Étoile Australe lodge in Ivandry and detained three suspects, including an education official. Authorities reportedly found a coffin containing human remains, bladed objects, an altar and documents concerning rituals. Frank, charged with the murder of Mary Phagan, the 13-year-old employee in the plant of the National Pencil company, of which the man convicted on August 25, 1913 was superintendent, are beginning to come into the county, and at the meeting of the board of commissioners Wednesday $975.06 was ordered paid for the expense of caring for the jury for twenty-nine days during which the trial lasted.
