Rome and the pope represent the New Church which is a Synodal Church. This is a contradiction to the true Church as founded by Apostolic tradition. Unlike Catholic dogmatic teachings and the natural law, it needs to be refined to cater for the emerging situations. There is a schism between the SSPX and the Synodal Church. This is not news, the whole purpose of the SSPX was to preserve the faith from which the Synodal Church (formally the "Conciliar Church") was moving away from, trying to suffocate. The question is not if there is a schism, but which side is continuing the faith of the Apostles. (Spoiler Alert: It isn't the side saying all religions are ordained by God.)
I think it's a difficult argument to make definitively and decisively.
