Leo XIV Outlines Consistory: "Preserving Tradition While Open to Legitimate Progress"

Writing on IlGiornale.it, Nico Spuntoni confirmed that Pope Leo XIV has sent his Christmas letter to the cardinals. He thanks them for their support and describes the January 7–8 extraordinary consistory as a moment of communion and shared responsibility.
The letter identifies four topics for discussion at the consistory:
- Renewed evangelisation in light of 'Evangelii Gaudium'.
- The relationship between the universal Church and dioceses, as addressed in 'Praedicate Evangelium'.
- The Synod and synodality as instruments of collaboration with the Roman Pontiff.
- The liturgy: through in-depth theological, historical, and pastoral reflection "in order to retain sound tradition and yet remain open to legitimate progress.” This quotation comes from Sacrosanctum Concilium 23, which sets out general norms for the reform of the Mass.
Spuntoni hopes: 'This passage appears to leave open the possibility of discussion among the cardinals regarding how to address the steadily growing communities …More

He means the "tradition" with began at Vatican II - NOT the tradition effusing from the Ancient Faith.

What is legitimate for Prevost is illegitimate for God. And what about the hypocrisy of upholding Tradition?

THE MAN WHO KILLED ST. MARIA GORETTI🇻🇦
This is Alessandro Serenelli, (the man who killed St Maria Goretti for not allow him to defile her in 1902) venerating the image of Maria Goretti.
Alessandro was sentenced to 30 years in prison. At his trial, he blamed Maria for her own death claiming that he was defending himself from a sexual attack that she herself instigated. In prison he was locked in isolation as his anger would lead to outbursts of physical violence against other inmates.
One night, six years into his prison sentence, Maria appeared to
Alessandro. She appeared in a garden picking 14 white lily flowers, handing them to him one by one. This gesture of forgiveness, this act of love, filled Alessandro with light and the Holy Spirit. He immediately became contrite for what he did to that little girl.
He finished the rest of his sentence in tranquility. In fact, his behavior became so docile, and the transformation of his person was so dramatic, that he was released three years …More

You are obsessed with the jews. This is not good for your soul. We know what is going on by now. Pray for them instead. Maybe post something about our Saints or popes? The Blessed Mother maybe? Let it go. This is way too much. Think of filling your soul with good things. As we all should be doing.

The Little Flower is always blooming.

At his first press conference (look at the facial expressions from Dolan), the new Archbishop of New York, Ronald Hicks, said he grew up 14 blocks from Pope Leo and told Cardinal Pierre, when called about the appointment, that he wanted to “do the will of God” with “great humility” and an “open heart.”
He said he comes from Chicago, having served under Cardinal Bernardin, been a witness to Cardinal George, and mentored by Cardinal Cupich.
Offering his “first controversial statement,” Hicks said he is a Cubs fan and will remain one.
He pledged to learn the issues facing the archdiocese, including funds set aside to resolve sexual abuse claims, stressing that the Church must never stop working to prevent abuse, protect children, and care for survivors.
Switching to Spanish, he expressed his love for Latino culture.
Addressing those trying to “figure out” who he is, he said: “I love Jesus, with my mind, heart, and soul,” calling it his mission statement.

FOR FR. SEBASTIAN VAZHAKHALA M.C LUMEN GENTIUM 16 REFERS TO AN INVISIBLE CASE SO IT IS NOT AN EXCEPTION FOR THE ATHANASIUS CREED WHICH IS SUPPORTED BY AD GENTES 7

FOR FR. SEBASTIAN VAZHAKHALA M.C LUMEN GENTIUM 16 REFERS TO AN INVISIBLE CASE SO IT IS NOT AN EXCEPTION FOR THE ATHANASIUS CREED WHICH IS SUPPORTED BY AD GENTES 7
Invisible people in 2025-2026 cannot be visible examples of salvation outside the Catholic Church.
Hypothetical and invisible cases cannot be visible exceptions for the Athanasius Creed and the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
If someone is not there he cannot be an exception for anything. If there is an apple in a box of oranges it is an exception because it is different but also because it is there in that box at that time. If it was not there it would not be exception.

For Fr. Sebastian Vazhakhala mc. is the Superior of the Missionaries of Charity Contemplative Brothers of Mother Teresa at Ponte Galleria, Rome and co Founder of the community with Mother Teresa. He said there are no visible cases of the baptism of desire or being saved in invincible ignorance.
So he is telling us that LG 14 and LG 16 in Vatican …More

Alberta's education minister writes a much needed Christmas message

The Education Minister of Alberta Demetrios Nicolaides in his Christmas message to parents offers a refreshing Christian example in today's secular world. We welcome the message. We're certain the parents and students of Alberta also appreciate the encouraging words of Christian hope, love and peace. We wish Minister Nicolaides a blessed Christmas.
The short letter is worth quoting in its entirety. We share it with our readers.
Dear parents,
As the glorious Christmas season approaches, I want to wish you and your loved ones a joyful and blessed time. This is a special season to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the event that serves as a cornerstone of faith and brings the world a message of hope, peace, and love. It is a time to reflect on this profound gift and look forward with faith and optimism to the year ahead.
I know the first part of this school year asked a lot of families, and I want to express my sincere appreciation for the commitment and care you devote to your …

FIFTH DAY
Novena of aguinaldos
Or Christmas
PRAYER TO BEGIN
Every day
By the sign of the holy cross...
Most benign God of infinite charity that you loved men so much, that you gave them in your son the best pledge of your love, so that made a man in the bowels of a Virgin, he was born in a manger for our health and remedy. I, on behalf of all mortals, give you infinite thanks for such sovereign benefit.
In return from Him I offer you the poverty, humility and other virtues of your humanized Son, begging him for his divine merits, for the discomforts with which he was born and for the tender tears he shed in the manger, have our hearts with deep humility, with lit love, with total contempt of everything earthly, so that the newborn Jesus has in them his cradle and lives eternally. Amen.
Glory to the Father (x 3)
It is read about every day.

Bishop Supports Imam Release: In late November, Bishop Derio Olivero of Pinerolo publicly defended Imam Mohamed Shahin during his detention, criticizing the Interior Ministry’s expulsion order. “Mohamed Shahin has been in Italy for 21 years, has no criminal record, and has always worked seriously for dialogue and cooperation in Turin,” the bishop said. “It seems strange and absurd that he now risks expulsion for opinions: in Italy there is freedom of opinion.”
Shahin is accused of statements made at a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Turin, where he allegedly described the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks as “resistance, not violence,” and said they were “the natural outcome of 11 wars waged against the Palestinians.” The Interior Ministry interpreted these remarks as justifying terrorism and posing a threat to public security.
On December 15, the Turin Court of Appeal ordered Shahin’s immediate release, ruling there was no “concrete and current” danger, though the expulsion order …More

FR. CHAD RIPPERGER, JESSE ROMERO AND TERRY BARBER WOULD BE INTERPRETING VATICAN COUNCIL II, THE BAPTISM OF DESIRE AND THE CREEDS IRRATIONALLY

FR.CHAD RIPPERGER, JESSE ROMERO AND TERRY BARBER AFFIRM THE DOGMA EENS WHICH IS IN HARMONY WITH VATICAN COUNCIL II AND THE CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH - BUT WITH CONFUSION
However 15 hypothetical cases which he has mentioned could be confused as practical exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

It could also mean that he is interpreting Vatican Coiuncil II irrationally by confusing hypothetical cases of LG 14, 16 etc are being visible exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
This would indicate that he interprets the baptism of desire irrationally too. So his interpretation of the Creeds too would be with the irrational interpretation of the baptism of desire. This is the common mistake in the Church.
Outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation is a formally defined doctrine of the Church. Unless you are a formally baptized Catholic in the Church you cannot be saved. The ordinary means of salvation is the Catholic Church said Fr. Chad Ripperger on …More
