San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone excludes notorious pro-abortion US Speaker Nancy Pelosi from receiving Communion in his archdiocese, where she lives.
In a May 20 statement, Cordileone extensively quotes Pope Francis affirming the Church’s teaching that abortion is a grave moral evil. [However, Francis has also received Pelosi warm-hearted rolling out a blood-red carpet for her.]
Cordileone has struggled with this issue for many years.
He has tried to reach out to Pelosi and convert her heart but her “position on abortion has become only more extreme over the years, especially in the last few months.”
His example, Earlier this month Pelosi presented herself as “devout Catholic” while justifying abortion: “They say to me, ‘Nancy Pelosi thinks she knows more about having babies than the Pope.’ Yes I do.“
