Spanish Bishop Threatens Resignation Over Virgin’s Place at Opus Dei Sanctuary

Bishop Ángel Javier Pérez Pueyo of Barbastro-Monzón, Spain, has said he would offer his resignation rather than sign a settlement under which the statue of Our Lady of the Angels of Torreciudad remains permanently at the Opus Dei sanctuary.
The bishop drew his red line in a public letter on 31 August, ahead of the image’s return to its ancient hermitage on 5 September for the 47th Pilgrimage of the Virgins of Ribagorza and Sobrarbe.
That return is temporary. It has been authorized by Archbishop Alejandro Arellano Cedillo, the pontifical commissioner for Torreciudad.
After the pilgrimage, the image is due to return to the sanctuary.
Bishop Pérez Pueyo’s threat concerns the final settlement: he refuses to accept an arrangement under which the statue remains there permanently and returns to the hermitage only on special occasions.
He would "never sign such an unlikely act of plundering your dignity," he wrote, adding he would instead offer his resignation.
The dispute has effectively been …More

Leo XIV Personally Intervened Against Rupnik’s Art, But…

Leo XIV personally intervened to stop VaticanNews.va from using the artwork of Father Marko Rupnik, according to Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes.
Rupnik has been accused by numerous women of fornication and sexual, spiritual and psychological abuse.
In an interview with Paris Match (August 31), Bishop Micas described a private audience with Leo XIV in June 2025. The pope asked him how Lourdes was dealing with Rupnik’s asymmetrical mosaics and the big black eyes.
Leo XIV supported the bishop’s approach to cover the mosaics. Then, Leo XIV mentioned that he had instructed the Holy See’s communications office to stop using Rupnik’s mosaics to illustrate articles. “He is truly very determined on this issue,” Bishop Micas said.
Rupnik’s work quietly disappeared from VaticanNews.va in June 2025, shortly after Leo XIV’s election.
However, the canonical case against the Slovenian priest remains ongoing and is clearly delayed, even years after the allegations against him became public …More

Aquinas Wisdom

"The souls of the wicked after death have their will immutably fixed on evil."

"Whereas the just, whilst in the flesh, look to God as the end of all their deeds and desires, the wicked look to an unlawful end which turns them away from God. Now the separated souls of the just will adhere unchangeably to God as the end to which they looked in this life. Therefore the souls of the wicked will adhere unchangeably to the end which they have chosen for themselves. Hence, as the will of the just will be unchangeable to evil, so the will of the wicked will be unchangeable to the good."

War On Iran: – IRGC Defeats U.S. Strait Clearing Scheme

– IRGC Defeats U.S. Strait Clearing Scheme – Moon of Alabama

August 31, 2026 War On Iran: – IRGC Defeats U.S. Strait Clearing Scheme Last Friday, August 28, the U.S. Central Command claimed to have removed all sea mines from the Strait of Hormuz: U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that U.S. forces have cleared Iranian sea mines from the internationally recognized shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz, saying the routes are now open to commercial shipping. … The announcement follows earlier statements by President Donald Trump that U.S. forces had removed or detonated mines in international waters in the strait. Cooper’s latest video provides CENTCOM’s formal operational confirmation that the Traffic Separation Scheme has been cleared. From the position of the U.S. this was, of course, good news. There was the slight problem that no one believed it: U.S. allies have privately assessed that some mines may not have been cleared. Earlier estimates from the International Maritime Organization and industry groups placed the number of mines …

Thank GOD For the those who are leaking the truth. But it seems some people are not paying attention to any of it. And remaining firm a supporter of the liar in chief. Of course no one (but the few) believed Trump. Time and time again he was proven a liar. Just like the Strait is open each time. It never was after the attack on Iran. He and his minions are playing with the stock market so they can all get richer than they are. No one is thinking of all the money Trump is Hegseth is causing us. Waste of fuel, planes shot down, ships blown up or damaged heavily, the bases and everything on them. And his lying about making more weapons which we can't do without the rare earth's China holds which they will not trade anymore since Trump destroyed the relationship with China. Such a huge mess he has made and still some still turn a blind eye. They have blood on their hands just like this administration. and a lot of it.

From Post tam diuturnas to Dignitatis humanae
Pius VII — Post tam diuturnas, April 29, 1814
“By the very fact that freedom of all forms of worship without distinction is established, truth is confused with error
, and the Church, the holy and immaculate Bride of Christ, outside of which there is no salvation, is placed on the same level as heretical sects and even the perfidy of the Jews.
Moreover, by promising favor and support to the sects of heretics and to their ministers, one tolerates and favors not only their persons, but also their errors.
This is implicitly the disastrous and ever deplorable heresy which St. Augustine mentions in these words:
“It maintains that all heretics are on the right path and speak the truth,” an absurdity so monstrous that I cannot believe that any sect actually professes it.”

EWTN is reporting the so-called “Coalition of Catholics Against Antisemitism” (CCAA) has been “tapped by the Government of Israel as part of its latest outreach to American Catholics.” A high-ranking Israeli official, Tammy Ben-Haim, met in May with the head of the CCAA Simone Rizkallah in Washington, DC. Rizkallah previously received funding from billionaire, Jewish activist Paul Singer and is currently affiliated with the “Tikvah Fund.” Rizkallah said in the article Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs wanted to “design a trip specifically for Catholic leaders, [so] it made sense that they would reach out to us.”

In fight against antisemitism, Israel steps up U.S. Catholic outreach

JERUSALEM — The Coalition of Catholics Against Antisemitism (CCAA), a lay-led U.S. organization established in late 2023 that “affirms the right of the Jewish people to live safely and securely in their ancestral homeland” as well as recognizes that “modern Israel is essential to that security,” has emerged as a leading resource in the Government of Israel’s outreach to American Catholics, who constitute the country’s largest single religious constituency. Tammy Ben-Haim, head of religious and interfaith affairs at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told EWTN news that a May meeting in Washington, D.C., with CCAA Director Simone Rizkallah, a first-generation American of Egyptian-Armenian descent, convinced her of the importance of engaging the organization and its supporters. “I was so impressed by Simone and the vision she had for the organization to combat antisemitism,” including CCAA’s network of key influencers throughout the American Catholic world, Ben-Haim said. Charismatic and Polarizing: Enzo Bianchi Dies at 83

Enzo Bianchi, founder of the Monastic Community of Bose, died at the Molinette Hospital in Turin at the age of 83 after kidney failure led to a metabolic coma.
Bianchi was a monk but never became a priest. A prolific author, he wrote extensively on Scripture, spirituality and contemporary Christianity. He addressed Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox audiences and became a regular interlocutor of secular intellectuals and non-believers.
Bose: From Farmhouse to a Center of Ecumenism
Bianchi was born on March 3, 1943, in Castel Boglione, Piedmont. His mother died when he was eight, and he grew up with his atheist and communist father. After studying accounting and beginning economics studies, he chose a different path.
In 1965, he settled in a farmhouse at Bose, near Magnano in the province of Biella, arriving on December 8, the final day of the Second Vatican Council.
Three years later, others joined him. The community included men and women, Catholics and Protestants. Initially viewed with …More

If you descent from Catholic doctrine or morality, you are a heretic, plain and simple.

A ruling by the Superior Court of Quebec in Canada finds that Cardinal Marc Ouellet was “falsely accused” of sexual assault in connection with a class action against the Archdiocese of Quebec, and he will receive $100,000 in damages, which he will donate to organizations combating the sexual abuse of Indigenous peoples.

Cardinal Ouellet Wins Defamation Lawsuit

Former Curia Cardinal Marc Ouellet has won his defamation lawsuit against Paméla Groleau. She had accused him of sexual assault.
Quebec Superior Court Judge Martin Castonguay found her allegations unfounded and ordered her to pay Ouellet C$100,000 (€62,000) in damages.
Judge Rejects Accuser’s Account
Paméla Groleau, a former pastoral worker, accused the former archbishop of Quebec of inappropriate touching during several encounters between 2008 and 2010.
Her main allegation concerned a priestly ordination in 2010, where she claimed Ouellet ran a hand down her back and touched the upper part of her buttocks. Ouellet denied the allegation.
At trial, Groleau acknowledged that this was the only incident she considered sexual assault.
The judge found her account “neither credible nor reliable,” pointing to changes and inconsistencies in her testimony.
Castonguay also noted that Ouellet was holding his episcopal crozier when the alleged contact was said to have occurred.

More than 28 million foreign nationals, including over 2 million children, have received medical care in Russia over the past six years, according to official figures. Authorities say the sector is expanding by more than 20% annually. Among them is Luna Fenner, an American girl who was born with a giant melanocytic nevus covering much of her face, dubbed a “Batman mask.” Russian doctors have now completed the main phase of treatment to remove the potentially cancerous birthmark, allowing Luna and her family to return home to the US. ‘The Perpetual Virginity of Mary’ by Saint Jerome – Proposition 1st. ‘That Joseph was only putatively, not really, the husband of Mary’ – point 16

[Saint Jerome – IV-V Century AD; born: Stridon, Roman Empire/died: Bethlehem, Palaestina Prima; Translation of the Bible into Latin – Vulgate; Doctor of the Church]
16. Now here we have the explanation of what I am endeavouring to show, how it is that the sons of Mary, the sister of our Lord's mother, who though not formerly believers afterwards did believe, can be called brethren of the Lord. Possibly the case might be that one of the brethren believed immediately while the others did not believe until long after, and that one Mary was the mother of James and Joses, namely, Mary of Clopas, who is the same as the wife of Alphæus, the other, the mother of James the Less. In any case, if she (the latter) had been the Lord's mother S. John would have allowed her the title, as everywhere else, and would not by calling her the mother of other sons have given a wrong impression. But at this stage I do not wish to argue for or against the supposition that Mary the wife of Clopas and Mary the …More

"Here is an example of the rule already referred to, by which a nephew is called a brother. And again, Genesis 29:15 Laban said unto Jacob. Because you are my brother, should you therefore serve me for nought? Tell me what shall your wages be. And so, when, at the end of twenty years, without the knowledge of his father-in-law and accompanied by his wives and sons he was returning to his country, on Laban overtaking him in the mountain of Gilead and failing to find the idols which Rachel hid among the baggage, Jacob answered and said to Laban, Genesis 31:36-37 What is my trespass? What is my sin, that you have so hotly pursued after me? Whereas you have felt all about my stuff, what have you found of all your household stuff? Set it here before my brethren and your brethren, that they may judge between us two. Tell me who are those brothers of Jacob and Laban who were present there? Esau, Jacob's brother, was certainly not there, and Laban, the son of Bethuel, had no brothers although …More
