Please do not malign Pope Leo. It is not hardness of heart at all. He simply follows the Synodal Church mindset of "what I don't like must be wrong, what I do like must be right." "Licit" means in keeping with preexisting law and dogma. Pope Leo has not used the word that way because he literally hasn't been formed to understand that the Pope is not the source of truth but only the caretaker of the truth which was revealed ages ago and does not change with the times, public consensus or concrete situations.

Italian Bishops Commit to Interfaith State Religion. Worse than Germany: On 25 June, the Italian Bishops' Conference signed an interfaith agreement titled "The Italian Way of Dialogue: Religions in the Public Sphere and for Social Cohesion" together with representatives of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Baháʼí and other religious communities. Worse than Germany: On June 21, the parish priest of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Reina del Clero in Mexico City invited fathers to celebrate Father’s Day by playing soccer inside the church’s nave around the 12:00 Eucharist. Wearing liturgical vestments, the priest also took part in the game. A goal was placed directly in front of the altar, and the fathers took turns shooting while parishioners applauded.
