Trump Praises the Pope’s “MAGA Brother”: On 30 December, President Donald Trump hosted Louis Prevost, the brother of Pope Leo XIV, at a private gathering at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida. Trump introduced Prevost and his wife, Deborah, to the guests. Trump expressed his admiration for the Pope's brother, recalling that when the new Pope was elected earlier this year, television coverage showed him outside his home surrounded by MAGA signs — a moment that Trump said made him "love this guy". A vocal Trump supporter, Louis Prevost has drawn attention for political posts that contrast with his brother’s positive views on immigration.

An Essay in Aid of a Grammar of Assent by Saint John Henry Newman.

An Essay in Aid of a Grammar of Assent by Saint John Henry Newman.
An Essay in Aid of a Grammar of Assent (commonly abbreviated to the last three words) is John Henry Newman's seminal book on the philosophy of faith.Completed in 1870, Newman revealed to friends that it took him 20 years to write the book.
Newman's aim was to show that the scientific standards for evidence and assent are too narrow and inapplicable in concrete life. He argued that logic and its conclusions are not transferable to real life decision making as such. As a result, it is inappropriate to judge the validity of assent in concrete faith by conventional logical standards because paper logic is unequal to the task. "Logic is loose at both ends," he said, meaning that the process of logic initially depends on restrictive assumptions and is thus unable to fit its conclusions neatly into real world situations.

PRIESTS AND RELIGIOUS SISTERS CONFIRM THAT POPE LEO AND THE COLLEGE OF CARDINALS ARE IN GENERAL APOSTASY

PRIESTS AND RELIGIOUS SISTERS CONFIRM THAT POPE LEO AND THE COLLEGE OF CARDINALS ARE IN GENERAL APOSTASY
Priests and Religious Sisters confirm that Pope Leo and the College of Cardinals are in general apostasy with the irrational interpretation of the Creeds, Councils and Catechisms. This is the de facto condition of the Consistory which meets this month.

The theological axis in the Catholic Church has changed. Aside from the liberals and the traditionalists; Lefebvrists, there is now a third group. The LG 16-is-invisible group. They are Feeneyites (invisible people are invisible) and not Cushingites (invisible people are visible). So the two theological axis now are Feeneyite (traditionalists who accept and interpret Vatican Council II rationally) and Cushingites (the popes, cardinals, bishops and the Lefebvrists. They interpret the Creeds, Councils and Catechisms irrationally, unlike the Feeneyites. There has been no denial from them.).
The rational and traditional group …More

One of the architects at SVPA Architects, an architectural firm based in West Des Moines, lowa, recently reached out to LAJ to inform us of a recently completed a renovation at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Ames, lowa -- a church that was only rededicated this past July 24th (the photos here predate that please note, hence why there are no altar cloths or candlesticks upon the altar). They have provided us with the following detailed background about the church and the project in question:
St. Cecilia's current church and parish hall was originally built in 1972 in a modernist style.. There was very little in the way of liturgical art, the altar and other sanctuary furnishings were movable, the tabernacle was located off the central axis, and the narthex was dimly lit... In the early 2000s the original narthex was torn down with the intent to build a new narthex and a new church in a second phase.…

True art is a thing of beauty and a joy to behold. Unfortunately, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so many may say the original was better. Even though you cannot argue taste, the new one IS a huge improvement over the original one.

The 1970s are over.

Communion in the hand is wonderful; he should never do what he did.

But one should realize it is a modernist mass. Why do you think you have the right to act in a Catholic way? If you want to receive Holy Communion in the Tridentine rite, kneeling on the tongue go to a Roman Catholic Mass.

What Is Saint Sylvester’s Day? | The Catholic Meaning Behind New Year’s Eve
Saint Sylvester’s Day is the Catholic liturgical commemoration of Saint Sylvester I, Pope, whose feast day falls on December 31. While the modern world associates this date with fireworks, countdowns, and celebrations, the Church invites the faithful to see New Year’s Eve through a deeper spiritual lens. Saint Sylvester I was pope during a pivotal moment in Church history—the era of Emperor Constantine and the legalization of Christianity. His feast marks the close of the liturgical year’s civil calendar and offers Catholics an opportunity for gratitude, reflection, and renewal. Traditionally, many Catholic communities observe Saint Sylvester’s Day with thanksgiving Masses, Eucharistic adoration, or prayers reflecting on God’s grace throughout the year. Rather than merely “saying goodbye” to the old year, Saint Sylvester’s Day reminds believers to entrust the coming year to God, acknowledge His faithfulness …More

New Year's Eve - Wikipedia
Europe
Albania

Preparations for New Year's Eve in Albania start with the Christmas tree, which in Albania is known as "New Year's Tree" or "New Year's Pine". At midnight, Albanians toast and greet each other and fireworks are lit.
Austria
In Austria, New Year's Eve is usually celebrated with friends and family. At exactly midnight, all radio and television programmes operated by ORF broadcast the sound of the Pummerin, the bell of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, followed by the Donauwalzer ("The Blue Danube") by Johann Strauss II. Many Austrians dance to this at parties or in the street. Large crowds gather in the streets of Vienna, where the municipal government organizes a series of stages where bands and orchestras play. Fireworks are set off by both municipal governments and individuals.

In Belgium, New Year's Eve (Dutch: Sint Sylvester Vooravond ["Saint Sylvester's Eve"] or Oudjaar ["old year"]) is celebrated with family parties – …More

Silvester

Every New Year people talk about feng shui, lucky animals, and cosmic cycles, but Catholics need to be clear: we do not enter a new year under an animal, an element, or a zodiac system, we enter it under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. 2026 is not the year of the horse or any other creature, it is the Year of Our Lord, which is exactly what A.D. means, Anno Domini. Time itself is measured from the Incarnation, not from stars or symbolic animals, and that is a theological claim, not a cultural preference. The Catholic way of ordering life is not aligning homes or decisions to supposed energies, but aligning everything, time, space, and the soul, to Christ through the liturgical year, prayer, and sacramental life. The New Year is not ruled by fate or fortune but by Divine Providence, and every time we write 2026 A.D., we quietly but firmly confess that Christ alone is Lord of history, of this year, and of our lives. May the peace of the Lord be with you always, and may you have a wonderful …More

BISHOP DONALD SANBORN AND MHT- SEDEVACANTISTS HAVE BLOCKED ME ON TWITTER : NO DOCTRINAL DIALOGUE

31.12.2025
BISHOP DONALD SANBORN AND MHT- SEDEVACANTISTS HAVE BLOCKED ME ON TWITTER : NO DOCTRINAL DIALOGUE
Bishop Donald Sanborn sedevacantist, has blocked me on Twitter. I had mentioned that Sister Maria Philomena micm, the Directress of the St. Augustine Institute of Wisdom, St. Benedict Center, New Hampshire, interprets LG 8 14, 16 etc in Vatican Council II as being invisible cases and so they are not explicit exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus of the Council of Florence, 1442. He instead, implies that LG 8, 14, 16 etc are physically visible cases and so they are objective examples of salvation in the present times and so are exceptions for the dogma EENS.
So we have two interpretations of Vatican Council II hers and his. She is rational and he is irrational. Sister Maria Philomena and the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at the St. Philomena Convent are traditionalists who are rational and non schismatic on Vatican Council II unlike the sedevacantists, …

UK Admits Vetting Failure Over Freed British-Egyptian Extremist – Allah's Willing Executioners

Britain’s Labour government has ordered an internal review into what it has admitted were serious failures of vetting and information handling in the case of Alaa Abd El-Fattah, a British-Egyptian man whose return to the UK has sparked a fierce political backlash.
Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper
said that senior ministers, including Prime Minister Keir Starmer, were unaware of a series of historic social media posts in which Abd El-Fattah praised violence, called for the killing of “Zionists,” and expressed hostility towards police and white people. The posts resurfaced shortly after Starmer publicly welcomed his arrival in Britain, saying he was “delighted” Abd El-Fattah had been reunited with his family after more than a decade behind bars in Egypt.
The revelations triggered immediate criticism from Reform UK and the Conservatives, who argued that the government should never have publicly celebrated Abd El-Fattah’s return without proper background checks. MPs accused Labour of …

Of the end of the year and the brevity of life.
POINT ONE.
