Homily Friday, October 23, 2026 Ephesians 4:1-6 “Humility,” “gentleness,” “patience.” Patience is a way to take the time to observe and rediscover the joy we experience in the present moment. Luke 12:54-59 “When you see cloud rising in the west you say immediately that it is going to rain—and so it does.” Let us rediscover joy within ourselves; God is present there. Tucho’s new document contradicts John Paul II. Today, the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, headed by the soft-porn author and Cardinal Víctor “Tucho” Fernández, has published Venite ad Me (“Come to Me”), a document on transmitting the Catholic faith. He disclaims “terminological precision and systematic treatment,” instead adopting a more discursive approach. Tucho creates a contrast between faith and its doctrinal formulations. Paragraph 29 of the document states: “The faith is not transmitted primarily as a body of doctrinal content or religious information, but as a form of ecclesial life into which the believer is gradually introduced.” Tucho’s document uses a “not primarily X, but Y” construction, whereas John Paul II explicitly warns against opposing doctrinal instruction and Christian life. In his 1979 apostolic exhortation 'Catechesi Tradendae', the pope wrote that "no opposition is to be set up between a catechesis taking life as its point of departure and a …More

Sentimental secular music performed at the altar of St. Peter’s Basilica. On October 20, Italian singer Gianni Morandi, 81, performed two secular songs in St Peter's Basilica, during the event 'Lectio Petri'. The songs were “C'era un ragazzo che come me amava i Beatles e i Rolling Stones” (1966), an anti-war song, and “Un mondo d'amore” (1967), celebrating love and hope.

Good for them. I just read where a Catholic supply company is selling day of the dead stuff which is pagan and demonic. They should be marketing All Souls devotionals which has no pagan or witchcraft overtones.
‘THE PASSION AND CRUCIFIXION OF JESUS CHRIST AND THE SEVEN LAST WORDS FROM THE CROSS’ By St. ALPHONSUS de LIGUORI; points 2; pp. 12-13; part II [Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori – XVII – XVIII Century AD; born: Marianella, Kingdom of Naples/died: Pagani, Kingdom of Naples; (aged 90); spiritual writer, composer, musician, artist, poet, lawyer, scholastic philosopher, and theologian, Founder, Bishop, Doctor of the Church] VII. THE SEVEN WORDS SPOKEN BY JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS 2. "Amen I say to you, this day you shall be with Me in paradise." (Lk 23:43) This holy penitent also exercised other noble virtues; he preached, declaring the innocence of Jesus Christ, This man has done no evil. He exercised love to God, receiving death with resignation, as the punishment due to his sins, saying, We receive the due reward of our deeds. Hence St. Cyprian, St. Jerome, and St. Augustine do not scruple to call him a martyr; and Silveira says that this happy thief was a true martyr, as the executioners …More

"It was a very unscientific and harmful report." HJA Ruissen condemns the Forbidden Colours "Hate Review" — a report riddled with lies and inaccuracies about hundreds of Christian organisations. He rightly asks: Why is the EU funding groups who vilify certain viewpoints simply because they are Christian? @Jugend für das Leben
Leo XIV’s doctors have given the Pope the all clear, and confirmed that he will not require any more treatment for his lung cancer: “The final histopathology and molecular testing reports on the tissue removed during the Holy Father's surgery were issued today. The results confirmed that the tumor was a lung adenocarcinoma and that the disease was localized. A subsequent oncological assessment has confirmed that no further treatment is necessary.”
