At the end of February, Ghanaian lawmakers unanimously passed the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Act, which makes advertisement for homosexuality illegal and punishable by up to five years in prison. Homosexual acts are already illegal. President Nana Akufo-Addo has yet to sign the bill into law, under pressure from decadent Western regimes. He said he would wait for a ruling from the Supreme Court before signing the bill. A citizen challenged the constitutionality of the bill. Ghana's bishops have backed the bill.
